This book features shorts devotions with a section of the Bible to read and a family activity to do together. This is the ideal devotional. The actual devotions are beautiful, and theologically solid. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful! I plan to use this with my family every year for advent.

“Your best blessings are the kind that never end. I know that You also give me gifts for right now- like my friends and clothes and toys.” This book is a blessing in itself. Cozy illustrations pair with devotions of the season. I can’t wait to add this to our advent book collection. The messages are excellent for both young and old.

Not just a lovely read, but an essential for raising Godly children this Christmas!
I looked forward to sharing this book with my daughter every night. Illustrations of children taking part in traditional Christmas rituals provide a wholesome backdrop for meaningful bible verse. This book provides clear and wholesome direction for bringing the meaning of Christ‘s birth to your child this Christmas.

This children’s Advent devotional offers 25 days of prayers, activities and reflections to carry you through the season. Each day includes a prayer, scripture reading and either an activity or reflection prompt. The activities were often a craft, so if you’re not that I guess you just skip it. I definitely think you’ll get more out of this if you read the scripture first and then the prayer.
Thank you to NetGalley and Tommy Nelson for the ARC of this previously published book. All opinions are my own.

I received a free copy of, Jesus Listens for Christmas, by Sarah Young, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Everyday during advent you have a prayer verse, a letter to Jesus, and an activity to do. This seems like a great book for families during advent. I really liked the illustrations in this book.
