This is probably the best book I have ever read on the role of a Chief People Officer or CHRO. Not only is the book framed around a real life case study that is compellingly written, the author shares a framework or a sort of balanced scorecard that shows all of the different "hats" heads of HR need to wear in organizations in order to be effective. I wish I had this book 10 years ago when I stepped into a CHRO role at a large not-for-profit organization. The author is a leadership coach and has the necessary background to provide insightful and practical tips. This is not a theoretical book but rather one that HR professionals can work through step-by-step. I highly recommend this book to all HR professionals as they grow and develop their career or for current Heads of HR, who want to make sure they are balancing their efforts in the right way for the organization.

Thank you to Netgalley and Practical Inspiration Publishing for an ARC and I left this review voluntarily.
