Why have one when you can have two? Elle Kennedy dives into hot steamy sports and stem romance and it was fire! I thought their dynamic was fun, full of spice and full of tension, discovery, I thought their dynamic and exploration of themselves was fun to read but the narrators? It made the story so much more fun and spicy. I was blushing while listening! I thought the narrators suited their characters perfectly and it made the story more interactive and fun and steamy. The Charlie Method is an absolute ode that nerds can be hot and it works and sharing is charing!

I was sooo excited for Beckett and Will's story. They are hands down my favorite two side characters in the series, and I adore why choose romance. That being said, this ironically was my least favorite of the three books. This one was VERY long (to the tune of 500 pages) and there were a lot of side plots to keep track of. I am adopted and so I did appreciate the adoption rep, but I don't think it really added anything to the story and felt more of a distraction than anything. My other criticism is the heavy stereotyping. You have the self-loathing perfectionist Korean girl, the "you must be pristine and perfect" sorority theme, and the STEM stereotype. It was just too much. Pick one and run with it.

The book would have benefitted from the dynamic of the three characters being the main focus. I really love those two boys and felt they were very much in the background. This was a book about Charlie, and the boys were just the side pieces to the story. I think they deserved more. A lot of readers seem critical over the ending and how everything wrapped up but I actually thought it was tied up nicely. She didn't have to choose and that is perfectly fine.

I enjoyed the last 30% of the story the most because that is where the relationships become the focus and it was less about the side plots.

As always, the spicy scenes were fantastic. Elle Kennedy writes some of the BEST spice and I will die on that hill. The audio was duet at parts and was great. All of the narrators fit the characters well. I listened at 2x.

There’s nothing better than a sports college romance written by Elle Kennedy. I absolutely adore the world of Briar U, and I’m always so happy to return every time. This book was steamy—twice as hot! I’m a huge fan of poly relationships, and Elle did an amazing job with this one. The dynamic between Charlie Beckett and Will was so well-written and harmonious. I was so sad to finish this series.

And can I just say... I NEED an Isaac and Blake book! Please!

Lastly, I have to give a huge shoutout to the audiobook—it was incredible! I highly recommend it, the voice actors did an outstanding job!

*The Charlie Method* by Elle Kennedy is book 3 in The Campus Diaries Series. The narrators do an amazing job of bringing the characters to life, infusing each moment with emotion and nuance. The pacing is spot-on, and the voices perfectly capture the essence of the characters. While I enjoyed the book, the ending left me wanting more. It felt like there was more to explore with the characters and their relationships, and I was hoping for a bit more resolution or depth in the final moments. Despite this, I still feel like it’s a good read and would recommend the series.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the
Audiobook ARC of “Charlie Method” by Elle Kennedy.

I was so intrigued by the glimpses of Will and Beckett we got in the previous books so I was thrilled when I got my hands on this book! It was such a fun time. It's hard to balance a story with multiple love interests but I felt like we got to spend a good amount of time with each character. Will is such a sweetheart and I knew I would love him. It was a joy to get to know Beckett better because he tends to put up a front of unflappability when he really does care deeply. I related to Will and Charlie as they tried to carve out a path that felt right for them despite outside opinions. Being yourself regardless of what other people say is one of the hardest things you can do and I was so happy to see them find a way to do that. It was very encouraging to read about. The hockey aspect of the romance was minimal (I think there was one actual game scene and a couple practice scenes in the whole book). Most of the focus was on the relationship and each character's side plot. If you're not a sports romance person I'd still recommend picking this one because it was so fun to watch all three of them realize how perfectly they fit.

Each character had their own narrator and it was a blast hearing this story through their voices. Teddy Hamilton did a fantastic job as Will as always and I was thrilled to hear Beckett come to life with Sean Masters' Australian accent. If you're an audiobook person I definitely recommend picking this one up!

**Audiobook Review**

This was one of my most anticipated books of the spring and I loved this story so much. “The Charlie Method” is a steamy, heartfelt and swoony MFM college hockey romance that I couldn’t stop listening to once I started.

Charlotte Kingston is a senior at Briar U and leads a fun double life. Charlotte is a driven STEM student who is in a sorority and does everything by the book. Charlie is a dare devil who loves to drive fast cars on a track and finds herself matched with not one but two guys on a hookup app. Will Larsen is the guy next door type hockey player but is constantly feeling pressure from his congressman father to be just like him. Beckett Dunne is a laid back Aussie who has a secret heartbreak and uses his charm to hide it all. Will and Beckett are teammates, best friends, and like to share everything. And when they match together with Charlie on the app, all three agree to a fun situationship. But as things progress, lines blur and feelings start to form.

This story had so much in it and I loved every chapter. Charlie has an A-Type personality who wants to prove her worth to her family, who adopted her when she was a baby from South Korea, even though they loved and supported her with everything she did. Charlie was definitely letting those intrusive thoughts win. Will and Beckett were cinnamon roll guys who were protective and caring of Charlie from the moment they started their situationship. They are walking green flags and I loved them separately and together. They knew each other from classes and developed something even before the app. I loved Beckett’s teasing personality and his nickname for Charlie was so cute. Will was so great for Charlie as well and these three in a poly relationship just made so much sense. And the steamy scenes were so delicious and a lot of them are going to live rent free in my head for a long time. There are plenty of scenes of the three of them together, no sword crossing and they are solely focused on Charlie. And there are just scenes of Charlie with just one guy. But my favorite thing was how they all connected on an emotional level. They were truly there for each other and were there for each other when they needed it the most. The last few chapters were great and ended their story perfectly. I loved the Dad group chat from the OG’s and that had me smiling so much.

The audiobook was done in duet and it brought the story even more alive. Teddy Hamilton, Persephone Lee and Sean Masters were perfect. I loved Teddy as the fun and caring Will, he was so swoony as him. Persephone did an amazing job of bringing the confident Charlotte and flirty Charlie alive. And Sean was so great as the laid back and genuine Aussie, I loved his accent. The three of them were great and balanced each other out wonderfully.

🏒Why Choose
🏒Hockey
🏒College
🏒Found Family

The Charlie Method is the third book of the Campus Diaries series of interconnected standalones. This book was everything I was hoping for and more. When I heard this one was MFM I was excited but also nervous to see if these three’s relationships would be believable. I’m here to say that their story is incredible! I don’t think it would be possible to love them any more than I do. Of course the writing is incredible and I found Beckett, Will, and Charlotte to be relatable and very likable. They all had their own troubles while also navigating their unconventional relationships with each other. This might seem like a long book to some but truthfully I would have read another 100 pages of these three! I couldn’t get enough of them! I am sad that this series is over but I’m excited to see what Elle brings us next!

🎧Persephone Lee, Teddy Hamilton, and Sean Masters all three did a fabulous job with the duet narration and bringing these characters to life. I could feel their emotions coming out and they made me feel as if I was right there in the story with them.

I seriously loved the multiple POVs in this audiobook! They made the whole thing so immersive and fun. It had the perfect mix of steamy moments and some deeper, serious topics. Definitely a must-listen!

Gosh I just love being back in the Off Campus Universe! It is so nostalgic for me and even though these characters weren't directly second gen, we did have some fun cameos that I loved and I really ended up loving Charlie, Beckett, and Will!

So I know that people were maybe disappointed that this was MFM and not MMF, but I think MFM was perfect for these three and worked so well. I am glad Elle Kennedy wrote the story the way she wanted to and I hope people go in with an open mind and don't focus on that too much! They do discuss it and I liked how all those aspects were done.

I will say that this is long. Like almost 600 pages. And while I did appreciate that it gave lots of time for the relationships to develop organically and there were some fun side things and each character had individual plots going on, it still did feel long. And the beginning was a little slow. But once I got into it, I was very invested and really enjoyed!

I could honestly relate to Charlie in some ways being in a sorority and in STEM in college. Feeling like she has to act a certain way for the world, I'm sure we've all gone through similar things so I think her arc made a lot of sense and I loved how Will and Beckett helped her through that. I really ended up liking her and loved her friendships with Faith and Blake!

And the boys! I really did love them. I honestly don't know if I have a true favorite. I think they both brought different things to the whole dynamic which allowed them to fit well together. They were both hot with Charlie in bed, but I liked that the spice didn't take over the whole plot like some MFM stories can.

Honestly, it was just a good time and I love this world so much. I will forever be down to read any books in this universe Elle Kennedy will give us and if you are an Off Campus fan, definitely recommend!

Also, I did listen to some of the audiobook as an immersive read - duet narration with three narrators?!? Perfect. Highly recommend!!

The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy was given to me as an Audiobook ARC by NetGalley and the publisher in consideration of an honest review.

First, the narrators all did a terrific job, I was able to fall into the characters and the story and the encompassed their respective person wholeheartedly and believably.

This is the story of college senior Charlotte Kingston who is by day a serious college student and by night is on a dating app talking to Will and Beckett.

When they finally meet and she realizes who they are, the story gets interesting. Will they become a couple, more than a couple?

I had anticipated Will and Beckett being together from the previous books and was a bit taken aback when Charlie entered the picture, to be honest, but it all came together in the end.

This could be read as a stand alone, but I think it's better to read the whole series so that you can appreciate the other characters in the book.

4.5 stars
This is a fun, entertaining, wild ride. Will, Becket and Charlotte are interesting, complicated, strong, relatable, intriguing, complex, wounded, entertaining characters. The path to their HEA is entertaining to read. These three are fun to spend time with. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I loved getting to see and hear about the couples from the previous books in the series. I enjoyed the family and friend aspects of the story and what each brought to the main characters and the plot. The story is easy to read and get into.

I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.

I already loved the book but listening to it was a brand new experience.

I love anything Teddy Hamilton narrates and this was spectacular.

I love this book and it being the finale of the trilogy series was top-tier. I look forward to more of Elle’s books and I highly recommend this audiobook to everyone.

Quick Summary: A polyamorous NA romance with a twist

My Review: The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy is book #3 in the Campus Diaries series. It is scheduled for release on 2/25/25.

About the Book: "College senior Charlotte Kingston is living two lives.

Will Larsen may seem like the breezy boy next door, but his congressman father is a constant thorn in his side...the last thing Will wants is for anyone to find out he and his best friend Beckett Dunne - a laidback Aussie shielding secret heartache - sometimes share girls in the bedroom.

With Charlie, Will, and Beckett all coming to terms with what they want and what others want for them, difficult decisions will need to be made.

Especially when lust starts to look a lot like love."

In My Own Words: Three people with their own personal concerns and issues share a different strokes for different folks relationship. As they struggle to find what works for them, many truths and realities are faced.

Questions to Consider: Can meaningful love be found via nontraditional relationships? Should the expectations of others rule our lives and shape our choices? Is it possible to thrive and survive in a polyamorous partnership?

About the Audiobook: This book was narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Sean Masters, and Persephone Lee. This team provided an entertaining listening experience.

My Final Say: One of the things I have appreciated about the Campus Diaries books is that they follow a more than meets the eye approach to storytelling. This novel is no different. It presents characters who are textured and interesting. I found the content to be contemporary and modern. The conversation and issues proved to be relevant and dare I say important.

I could say more about particulars in this story, but I won't, as I do not want to spoil it for other readers, and it is no simple thing. What I will say, however, is that while the ending presented what it did, it seemed like this one had a more to come flavor to it. Perhaps, that is subjective.

Other: In my opinion, this is a mixed bag read. It will appeal to some and not to others. Readers who enjoy poly/open situationships, sports-STEM hookups, love triangles, multi POVs, and spicy MFM relations may like this one.

3.75 🌟
Spice: open door

This one hurts. I love Elle, and usually, her books are an easy 5 star for me. This one, however, just fell so flat for me.
Lets start with how we were basically edged in the first 2 books with Beckett and Will seemingly making it seem like they were endgame. Disappointing.
The real issue for me is that all 3 of these characters need some therapy. It didn't feel romantic when they are clearly over emotional, and their solution is I need you right now, instead of idk talking about what's bothering them.
I couldn't connect with Charlotte/Charlie at all. I found her annoying. She seemed very one dimension, and like being adopted was her whole personality. I just found myself not caring during her chapters.
Please explain to me why we had random chapters of a side characters book? Made this book longer for no reason.
On a positive note, the narration was fantastic.

This is a great audiobook! The narrators do a fabulous job of bringing the story to life. This book was just so good! It's honestly my new favorite of the whole series. Charlie, Will and Beckett are perfect together. I loved their banter and chemistry. They had me swooning and sweating in the best way. This book has lots of humor, heart and heat. I highly recommend it and the entire campus diaries series. You won't be disappointed!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Select for allowing me to listen to this book ahead of release in exchange for my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved the story. It was so fun it was different but at the same time gave the Elle Kennedy iconic spicy romance sports romance ()hockey!). I adored all the characters and I’m so sad this is the end of the series! I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.

The epilogue also made my heart swell and I’m so glad there is a HEA with closure.

As far as the narration goes, I didn’t fully love it. I still had a good time and enjoyed it. But at times the narration took me out of the story or felt a bit awkward or the accents were a bit off from what I thought the accent and super deep voice combo would be.

Still enjoyable and worth reading / listening but the narrators just were not my personal favorites together.

Thank you to redprbooks for a copy of this ALC in exchange for my opinions!

After recently reading this book, I listened to only my favorite parts of the ARCs and (admittedly) a smutty scene because I was curious to hear how they sounded 👀

I will have to say, I think the FMC’s voice is okay but Will’s and Beckett’s were a bit off to me. I had to focus on Beckett’s accent to be able to hear it but it sounded close to American. Will’s wasn’t bad, just wasn’t what I had in my head. I think Will and Charlie’s were okay, but not necessarily remarkable.

Audio aside, this story is amazing and truly one of my favorites this month so everyone needs to read this!!! Audio or physical! 😍
