His friend Howard who has been helping him find his father has been taken and he needs to find him. He goes to a safe house run by the Program and finds Howard and a teenage girl named Tanya. Howard is drugged and Tanya is bruised. Howard does not want to leave without Tanya but he has doubts about her. Tanya handles a gun like a professional which is starting to worry him.
The book has a fast pace, the characters were developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. The original book was called The Traitor. If you like the Bourne series or the Orphan X series, you will enjoy this book.
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
It's hard going into details without giving it all away, but this book left me intrigued. Once I started I couldn't put it down. We see Zach's transformation from book one, and we realize that he IS the perfect soldier, one that uses his mind, instincts, and humanity to get the job done. Howard and Tanya are awesome sidekicks, revealing to Zach that it is possible to have friends, but also to ask for help. This book and the trilogy is a good choice for your reading pleasure. I know it was written for young adults, but I've recommended the reading to all my friends.
