I missed way too much sleep last night staying up in the middle of the night reading this. I could not put it down and needed to find out what happened. Someone Knows is dark and twisted with tons of suspense. There are some pretty big trigger warnings so please check before starting. The ending caught me so off guard, I had to read it twice to make sure. One of my favorite thrillers that I've read this year so far!
Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books | Atria/Emily Bestler Books for a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

While I haven't read anything from this author before, I am going to go back and read through her catalogue. I really enjoyed the unreliable narrator, as well as the marrying of the past and present. This felt like the perfect mix of family drama as well as thriller.

Wow. This book was tense and suspenseful. Full of emotions and mystery. There are so many twists and surprises right to the very end. Someone Knows is a fantastic thriller. I really enjoyed this book.

This was gripping form the start. It was well written, the characters were well developed. I highly recommend.

Vi Keeland has written another unputdownable thriller! I read The Unraveling last year and I still think about it, so when I saw this one on Netgalley I had to request it!
Someone Knows is about college English professor, Elizabeth. While teaching a creative writing class, she gets a submission that sounds too much like her own personal experience. An experience from high school where she kills her high school teacher after he sexually manipulates and abuses her best friend.
The writing and the quick chapters had me hooked. I was not sure who to trust. There were so many twists in this story. I really thought I figured it out, but Keeland kept throwing out surprises.
loved Someone Knows! I hope Keeland keeps writing thrillers because she is a master of
suspense. Thank you to Netgalley, Vi Keeland, and Atria Books for this ARC. Someone Knows will be available in the US on June 17th.
Trust me, you don't want to miss this one!

Wow!!! I have come to love Vi Keeland and her suspense/thrillers!!! I didn’t see that ending coming for sure, this was a great read! Kept me turning the pages!! 4 stars!!!!!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this early copy!

I loved this book! The characters were amazing, I loved the setting changes between New York and Louisiana. I loved the mysterious aspect of it and that it was thrilling but also included some romance! This read was fast-paced and interesting! This is definitely a must read for fans of domestic thrillers! Highly recommend!

Wow! This read was fire! The plot twists. The suspects. The angst. The questions. The manuscript. The letter. Gah! So much here to dissect. In this latest read, professor Elizabeth is teaching a writing class and receives some stranger first draft chapter from a student. The content of the chapters hits a little too close to home for this professor. Meanwhile, her estranged mother is suffering from an illness that brings Elizabeth back home. All the feels. All the questions. All the unknowns from forgotten moments and new discoveries will keep readers turning pages and devouring this read.

Thank you Netgalley!!!
Someone knows is an espectacular novel. It's packed with unexpected and twisted plot twists that you definitely don't see coming. From the very beginning, I immediately connected with the protagonist; I empathized with her deeply and found myself going a little crazy alongside her.
The story is incredibly addictive and never loses momentum. It keeps you on the edge of your seat, constantly making you question everyone and everything around you.
What I love most is how the author masterfully uses psychological games to manipulate the reader into believing one thing and then presenting completely outrageous hypotheses. It's a thrilling experience from start to finish!

This was a fun thriller with a lot of twists. A few I saw coming, but there were definitely some surprises. Great book for fans of the teacher.

This book grabbed my attention immediately. The twists were so good. The ending of the book had my mouth dropping.
Vi Keeland didn’t disappoint with this thriller.

If you’re in the mood for a fast paced, gripping thriller, with just a sprinkle of unbelievability then this would be it. Someone. Knows tells the story of Elizabeth. She’s currently an English professor in New York City whose past comes back to haunt her. One of her students submits the beginnings of a novel for their creative writing class that very closely resembles Elizabeth’s childhood. Who is the student and what is it that she knows? Elizabeth makes the trek to Louisiana to find out
This book definitely had me turning pages. It moved just slow enough for me to continuously want more. The pacing was perfect. As an example, Elizabeth receives a note and as opposed to reading that note right away, she discards it for later. I just wanted to know what was in the note. It was those kind of things that kept making me want to read more. There is a little bit of suspending your disbelief, but not to the point of unbelievable, which is great, especially in this genre.
I would definitely recommend this and look forward to reading more from this author.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This may very well be my favorite book I've read so far this year! I've always been a fan of the author but this book was something very different.
I was hooked the minute I read the blurb, and knew I had to read it ASAP! And I wasn't disappointed, it even exceeded my expectations by so much.
Once I started reading, I found it impossible to put it down. I was kept on the edge of my seat right up to the end. And OMG! That ending I never saw coming!

I’ve read a lot of Vi Keeland books and was excited that she started writing thrillers, which is my favorite genre. This book did not disappoint. Kept me engaged through the entire book. I did figure out one of the twists, but that did not take away from how much I enjoyed the book. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC.

Someone Knows is the first book I have read from Vi Keeland and I was not disappointed!
The book follows Elizabeth, who is a professor teaching a creative writing course for the summer session. As she begins to read one student’s paper, she soon realizes that everything she already knows everything that will be happening in the story… because it is her past.
Every time she receives a new chapter, a new twist is revealed. This kept me guessing up until the very end!
My review ARC was provided by the publisher, Atria Books via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

well this was INSANE!! Very disturbing but insanely good.
Elizabeth is a an English professor who starts receiving chapters of a story that recount events that actually happened to her. Very disturbing events. Throughout the book Elizabeth is trying to figure out who is sending her these chapters and let me tell you, I never got it right. Everyone was suspicious to me 🫵🏻
The beginning is a little slow but once the story picks up, its full speed ahead and I couldn't put it down. There's a big twist about halfway through the book that I never saw coming. I thought the plot was very unique and the main character is definitely complex. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a fast-paced read!

As a huge fan of Vi Keeland's romance books - I was SO excited to give this book a chance. Unfortunately it wasn't my favourite, however it was a really quick read for me - just took a little bit longer for me to get into the story.

I really liked this book. From trying to figure out who was writing her story to what actually happened back in the past it kept my attention the whole time. Also the cover was perfect for this book it kept with the theme of the book and I personally think it will really pop on book shelves in bookstores.

I’ve been a big fan of Vi Keeland's work, especially after reading The Unraveling, so I was excited to dive into Someone Knows. As soon as I started, I was hooked by the suspense and the complexity of the storyline. I love that she’s stepped into the thriller genre, and this book did not disappoint—though I will admit, I thought I had it all figured out at around 57%.
The premise of Someone Knows immediately grabbed my attention. It’s about a woman named Elisabeth who is forced to confront a past she’s tried to bury for years when a student of hers starts dending her chapters of a book she is writing. And those chapters tell a story that Elisabeth knows all too well. There’s a heavy sense of mystery from the start, and the twists come fast and furious.
At first, I thought I had pegged where the story was going. Around the 57% mark, I had a solid theory about the big twist and was confident that I could predict the outcome. But Vi Keeland is a master at keeping readers on their toes. The psychological tension in this book is brilliant; Keeland weaves a web of uncertainty, and I found myself constantly questioning the characters' true motivations and what they were hiding.
The pacing of Someone Knows is well done. There’s a steady build-up of suspense as Elisabeth travels between her home town and New York. As secrets start surfacing, I found myself becoming more invested in uncovering the truth, and when the twists hit, they were both shocking and satisfying. The book kept me guessing, and even though I thought I had it figured out, the final reveal was one I did not see coming.
I really appreciated how Keeland created such a gripping atmosphere. There’s an underlying sense of dread throughout the novel, and the psychological depth of the characters added layers to the suspense. Elisabeth is a compelling character who grapples with her past in a way that makes her both sympathetic and unpredictable.
In the end, Someone Knows delivered. The tension, the twists, and the characters’ emotional journeys kept me engaged until the very last page. If you’re looking for a thrilling, twist-filled ride that will keep you guessing, this book is definitely worth the read. Vi Keeland’s foray into the thriller genre proves she’s more than just a romance author—she’s a storyteller capable of keeping readers on the edge of their seats

I wanted to love this, as I’ve loved all the other Vi Keeland books I’ve read, but I’m much more of a Vi Keeland romance fan than a fan of her thrillers. This story of a teacher bamboozled by a student paper that seems to know all about a crime she was involved with 20 years ago starts with great premise: An anonymous threat, a detached protagonist, a little steam, and a return home to a town full of secrets. Where this one lost me was on the big reveal, which seems to have been added to explain a piece of the set-up but not investigated anywhere else in the novel. There were other storylines and characters thrown around but not given a resolution. Add to the mix that the ending of this one feels VERY familiar to readers of her last thriller, The Unravelling, and you have a book with a lot of promise but needed another pass in the details, filling some of the unanswered gaps at the end that the protagonist too easily puts to rest without closure.
