This is my first time, reading a book by the author and holy cow!! I loved it! It grabbed me from the very first page and had me turning pages long into the night. it was a really interesting premise and had a lot of suspense with just a bit of romance. for the first time in a long time, I was sad that a book had to come to an end. When it’s released, I will be recommending it to everyone.

This is my second book by Vi Keeland and she knocked this one out of the park. Elizabeth Davis, a sexy and sassy New York City English professor, returns to her small hometown in Louisiana to find out who is pretending to be a student and sending assignments describing in details her high school friend Jocelyn’s relationship with a teacher. A teacher who ended up dead.
This book has it all, great writing, mystery, murder, romance, sex, and one hell of a plot. I could not put it down and am still processing the ending. So good!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

An english professor receives an assignment that describes a secret that she has hidden for 20 years. Is someone messing with her? Does someone know what she did?

This was an exciting ride with a lot going on. She goes back to her hometown, her mother is dying, and she faces all the secrets of her past. There are some very spicy scenes so keep that in mind if spice is not your thing.

Everyone was suspicious and when I got to the very end I was shocked. Keep in mind there are some trigger warnings with this one: sexual abuse of a minor and physical abuse. Some thrillers are less dark, but this one has some very dark scenes.

I really enjoyed this one. I actually want to read more by this author now as I like her writing style a lot.

I was so excited to receive this ARC as I read her other thriller and it was my fave book last year. But this book, Oh my goodness this was an amazing read!!! This book kept me wanting more and more and the twists were amazing in itself. That final chapter? Damn. I’m second guessing my second guesses 😂😂

Not Vi's strongest work. I liked her first ever thriller but this one kind of missed the mark. I also did not like the ending.

2.5 stars

While this one held my attention, there was just too much going on with too many twists.

I don’t want to give anything away, but there is a lot going on in this book: lost memories, double personalities, lies from the past, many MANY suspects, and a frazzled main character.

I didn’t see the ending coming but that is because there were so many other characters I thought were better suspects. I’m not going to give my theories (no spoilers here folks), but there was one side character that would have worked better to have been the writer and murderer.

The ending was also just “eh.” I want to know what is going to happen to our FMC. Is she going to be killed? Fall in love? Ugh. I hate the unknown.

Great first thriller from Vi Keeland. I am a fan of her other genres and this one really kept me guessing. Hoping that she decides to write more thrillers in the future.

Wow... okay. I was totally not expecting that! Without a doubt, Someone Knows is a page turner. The characters are captivating. The storyline.... *chefs kiss*. Add in the suspense of wanting to know all things. Yeah, definitely 5 stars!

Slow to start. It gradually picks up pace. The ending is well worth waiting for. Looking forward to the next one.

Someone Knows by Vi Keeland is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the dark and complex world of personal connections and their consequences. It revolves around Elizabeth Davis, an English professor with a past that comes back to haunt her when a creative writing student, Hannah Greer, submits chapters of her story, The Reckoning. This story, a reflection of Elizabeth's life, contains intimate details known only to a select few, including her best friends at the time, Jocelyn Burton and Ivy Leighton. In High School, Jocelyn had an affair with English teacher Damon Sawyer, and Elizabeth killed him.

Mr. Sawyer, 39, a beloved teacher at Minton High School, passed away on May 20th. He is survived by his wife, Candance, and his seven-year-old son.

Elizabeth's return to her hometown is a journey into the characters' complex pasts. She, Jocelyn, and Ivy are all products of their environment, having grown up with single moms struggling with addiction and other challenges. Jocelyn, her best friend, has been missing since she left for Florida, and Ivy is now a social worker, leading a seemingly everyday life.

"Sometimes the anticipation is more exciting than the event."

Thank you Netgalley for the free ARC! This book was mediocre. It was readable and mildly enjoyable. It did have twists and turns, but was somehow lacking. I was disappointed because the author’s previous novel The Unraveling was thrilling and memorable.

This book was a wild ride! It was twisty, fast paced, and kept me hooked from start to finish. The mix of suspense, secrets, and a little steam made it hard to put down. If you love thrillers with plenty of drama and shocking reveals, this one is worth picking up!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Vi Keeland foe the chance to read this e-ARC

Ahh! Mrs. Vi can do wrong when it comes to twisty, sexy, thrillers that keep you guessing. Someone Knows is no exception. New Auto-buy author for me! This is so good! The characters, background story, and continuous plot twists, were so fun! 4 stars- all day!

Thank you to Atria Books & Vi Keeland for this eARC for my unbiased opinion and review. I'd read Vi Keelands grocery list at this point ;)

Someone Knows by Vi Keeland is a fast paced and addictive thriller that had me hooked from the first page. The story follows Elizabeth, a college English professor whose past comes back to haunt her when a student starts submitting chapters of a novel that sound way too familiar. This book is a perfect mix of suspense and drama. Elizabeth is a complex character, and I loved how the tension built as she was forced to return to her hometown to uncover who was behind the mysterious manuscript. The twists kept coming, and while I had a few theories, the ending still surprised me. If you love thrillers with a bit of spice and plenty of secrets, this one is definitely worth the read!

Elizabeth, a college English professor, is shocked when a student's manuscript recounts a decades old affair between a high school student and her teacher—because she knows the story firsthand. The girl in the book was her best friend, and Elizabeth was the one who killed the teacher to protect her. As she races to uncover who is threatening to expose her past, she returns to her Louisiana hometown, only to realize that some secrets refuse to stay buried.

Elizabeth leads a quiet, independent life as a college English professor—she has no interest in serious relationships and enjoys the freedom of solitude. But when she receives an anonymous creative writing submission, her world tilts.

The manuscript, titled The Reckoning, tells the story of a high school senior who has an affair with her teacher. To anyone else, it’s the beginning of a compelling page-turner. But to Elizabeth, it’s something far more chilling—because she knows how the story ends. The girl in the manuscript was her best friend Jocelyn, and the teacher? He’s dead.

Now, after twenty years of burying her past, someone knows what she did—and they’re revealing the truth, one chapter at a time. Desperate to uncover the identity of the mystery student behind the manuscript, Elizabeth is forced to return to her hometown in Louisiana. But the closer she gets to the truth, the more it becomes clear that the past isn’t done with her yet.

This book shocked me at every turn—I gasped aloud at the twists and did not see ANY of them coming. A dark, addictive psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last page.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an ARC of Someone Knows.

The Unraveling was in my top 3 books out of 100 last year, so when I was invited to read Vi Keeland's newest thriller I SMASHED the accept button!

The Good: I loved the pacing of the story and that there never seemed to be a dull moment. I also loved the way the chapters to the mysterious story she received were worked into the present story to fill in the past timeline a little at a time.

The Bad: As a romance author by trade, I expected some smutty scenes (and they worked SO well in her previous book) but they ended up feeling forced and honestly sort of cringe here. If I never read the words "steely erection" again I won't be sad.

The Ugly: The ending was probably the biggest let down for me as it was incredibly predictable and left several main character plot lines unfinished.

While this wasn't a bad book by any means, I'm a bit devastated I can't give it a gushing review like I did for her debut thriller.
