A great domestic thriller about a family with lots to hide. Lies upon lies upon lies. Deceit, secrets, murder, revenge… Some twisted characters make things interesting. Watch out for the dropping twists I didn’t see coming! This book proves you never really know anyone, just what they want you to know.
I enjoyed listening to this ALC provided by NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

Kate and Austin Yates' seemingly perfect family is shaken when inappropriate pictures of their teenage daughter, Mia, are posted online. Rumors are spreading about Austin, and Kate longs for the close relationship she once had with Mia. It turns out that things aren't so perfect in the Yates household after all.
I loved this book; it was easy to follow and was enjoyable from start to finish.

Average mystery novel with quite predictable plot twists. The characters lack a certain depth and the resolution is quite dissapointing.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This thriller was so gripping! I loved that there were multiple points of view and multiple mysteries occurring all at once. This was such a layered story and was a quick read. I really enjoyed the twists in this book and really enjoyed this reading experience.

Are you a Nicola Marsh fan? I just finished listening to Our Perfect Family and wow, what a ride! This is a must read book.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I felt it could've used some more "thriller" moments rather than it seem to drag. I really enjoyed the narrators though!!

Summary: When a respected teacher’s perfect family is shattered by an online attack, secrets unravel, loyalties are tested, and one wrong move could destroy them all.
My review: Our Perfect Family is a gripping, tension-filled drama that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. The multiple POVs add depth, offering insight into each character’s thoughts and motivations, making the unraveling of secrets even more compelling. With plenty of twists and expertly narrated storytelling, this was an enjoyable and immersive read that delivers both suspense and emotion.
Our Perfect Family is scheduled for publication on February 25 2025, by Dreamscape Media.

Told from multiple perspectives within the same family, OUR PERFECT FAMILY explores the dangers of parenting/growing up in the digital age, and the extremes parents will go through to protect their families.
Premise - Austin and Kate are the parents of Mila, a high school student who’s the subject of a revenge porn attack online. While their family seemed perfect, on the outside at least, before the attack, everyone has secrets and the scandal quickly unravels the threads holding their lives together…
It was overall a very engaging story and the characters were believably crafted, but the three perspectives weren’t quite equally interesting and the pacing lagged at times. I found myself wanting to spend all my time in the Moms head, which isn’t too say that the other characters weren’t good, just that she seemed the most human/believable to me!
I listened to the audio ARC, narrated by Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutcliffe. A full cast read is always a treat and this was no exception! All three narrators are very talented and their reads shone equally. It’s a perfect accompaniment for a long flight/drive, a spring cleaning day, or a series of workouts (if you have the restraint to listen to this over a couple weeks rather than binging books in one go like some people *ahem, me*).
Thanks, NetGalley and Dreamscape First, for the audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Our Perfect Family by Nicola Marsh
From the very first chapter, this book pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The Yates family—Kate, Austin, and their teenage daughter Mia—seem to have it all together, but beneath the surface, secrets are lurking. And when rumors from Austin’s past resurface after nearly two decades, their so-called perfect family is pushed to the brink.
With tensions rising and loyalties tested, the stakes get even higher when Mia finds herself in a difficult situation with her classmates. Just how far will Kate and Austin go to protect their daughter and their reputation?
The suspense builds steadily throughout, revealing new layers with every chapter. I loved the dual timeline, which seamlessly wove the past and present together, adding depth to the unfolding drama. The pacing was spot-on, and Nicola Marsh’s writing made this an effortless, engaging read. I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.
I also listened to the audiobook, and the narrators did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life.
If you love psychological thrillers packed with family secrets, tension, and twists, this one is worth picking up. Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC in audiobook format.
The Perfect Family by Nicola A Marsh is a well written, clever mystery. The narration is top quality.
However, I need at least one likeable character who I can relate to who prevails, and the main characters in this story are at best, self-centered people who could care less about their supposed "friends". At worst, well, you will have to read the book.
Due to the high quality audio performances by the narrators, if you care to read this novel, which is a good psychological thriller if the lack of relatable characters doesn't bother you - I recommend the audiobook format.

This was a quick listen. It hooked me from the beginning and held my attention. It did give me YA vibes. It may have been because the teenage daughter was a narrator and a main character. I liked it but didn’t love it.

I cannot write too much without giving away spoilers, but Our Perfect Family on audio was a great read. It kept me listening for a day and a morning, and as a woman of a certain age with the newly developed attention span of a gnat, the fact I KEPT listening is a big plus to author Nicola Marsh.
Use of three narrators, Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutcliffe also helped tell the story because there was never any question as to the current speaker and each voice was perfectly chosen for the characters.
As to the plot, past and present, a school setting, teachers with very human faults, a marriage facing an empty nest future.....there is a lot going on in the book and I never saw the ending. Well done.

The Yates family has a perfect family image. Austin is a devoted family man and respected high school teacher. Kate is a good wife and adoring mother. And Mia gets top scores in school and is looking forward to university after finishing this final year of high school. When Mia is faced with a online attack by two boys at school, their perfect family image starts to crack. The perfect family has many underlying secrets in the past and they are about to be exposed.
Man, this book hooked me! First, I love a thriller with multiple POV and this one is told by the 3 family members. There are so many intersecting secrets and twists that keep you on your toes until the final reveal in the prologue. I didn't want to stop listening to this book and flew through it!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook for review.

I loved the drama and lies that were uncovered in this story. It was easy to follow with the perfect amount of suspense. This was a light, easy read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy!

Interesting. Seems like most of the people in this book are a little psycho. Austin and Kate will do anything to protect their daughter, Mia. A bad picture of Mia goes around the school, a new boy in town has a shady past, and the new principal seems to be suspicious. How are all these people connected? It was hard to follow unless you were really really paying close attention. And how many of them are liars? Killers? Wasn't bad.

Every one has secrets in this story! The book focuses on one family (Austin, his wife Kate, and their daughter Mia), and the current issues and secrets they keep. Alternates between past and present timelines (it stays in the present for the most part). There is a small cast of characters and the story flows nicely alternating between each person. A few surprise twists sprinkled throughout. The narration is easy to follow along with multiple narrators as the cast of characters. The writing and audio are well done, and I felt I was right alongside each character. Short, quick chapters make this a good afternoon read.

Kate and Austin will do everything they can to protect their daughter, Mia, when a picture circulates around school of her in a compromising situation. But as the authorities get involved, it seems that everyone in the family is hiding something. What will happen when all their secrets are revealed? This is my kind of thriller. I love juicy secrets, the fallout after and seeing how it all comes together. Nicola Marsh has written a solid story which had me intrigued right from page one. The audiobook was fantastic to listen to.

🎧 Austin and Kate come from very different socioeconomic backgrounds, but together they’ve built a beautiful life with their daughter, Mia. That is, until new student Eddie arrives - rumors about Austin’s past start spreading, and Mia gets caught in a brutal online attack.
Told from Austin, Kate, and Mia’s perspectives, the story weaves together past and present, revealing how Austin and Kate met and the secrets he’s been keeping. The audiobook’s three narrators did a great job, adding depth to the story.
I loved the short chapters and fast pace, though Mia was the only likable character. The online drama felt super real, especially in how her friends reacted. Mia also seemed so much smarter than her parents - especially Austin, whose privilege possibly clouded his judgement.
The reveal took me by surprise, but I was hoping for a bigger twist. That said, I appreciated the way everything wrapped up, and overall, this was a fun, fast read—perfect for a vacation or weekend binge!

Our Perfect Family features anything but a perfect family. Austin, Kate, & Mia all have secrets, and some of them may be willing to kill to keep their past under wraps. This audio was fantastic, I enjoyed getting all 3 different POVs. I can honestly say I didn't know where this was going. I was right about one thing, but so many twists occurred that I was left mind blown. I would definitely check out more from this author.

Calling this book "twisted" is an understatement. The narrators are phenomenal, seamlessly weaving together the multiple POVs and timelines, making every moment even more gripping. I was on the edge of my seat with every move Austin and Kate made, completely caught up in their choices and the unraveling secrets. And that ending? I never saw it coming—but it was wrapped up in such a satisfying way. Highly recommend!
