Our Perfect Family is told for 3 points of view in multiple timelines. Austin and Kate have created the perfect family. Kate acts the epitome of the good housewife and mother, and Austin is the teacher and upstanding citizen from a good family. But, when their daughter falls victim to a cyberattack, their well woven lies begin to fall apart. They will do anything to protect their family.

There are twists and turns, nothing too unexpected. The narration is well done, creating an air of anticipation that left me wanting to know more. At 7 hours, it is a quick listen.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC of this book. Publication date is 2/25/2025.

Our Perfect Family had me at the edge of my seat from start to finish. It literally started out with such a bang, that I was immediately drawn in. The story follows the Yates family Kate, Austin and their teenage daughter Mia. Everyone in this family has secrets and they will stop at nothing to protect those secrets and each other, there is literally no limit. Loyalties are tested as their "perfect family" façade is jeopardized, due to rumors from Austin's past from nearly 20 years ago resurfacing. And when Mia is put in a compromising position with her fellow classmates, how far will Austin & Kate go to protect their daughter and reputation. The suspense is built throughout the entire novel as more and more is revealed throughout the chapters. The dual timeline, past and present was very easy to follow and laid the foundation of the events that were happening in present day. The story was well paced and I enjoyed Nicola Marsh’s writing style, I will be checking out more of her work. The narrators did a phenomenal job as they brought life to these characters in the audiobook.

Overall, a very enjoyable read with plenty of twists and recommended for fans of psychological thrillers and suspense novels. Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this advanced reader copy, all opinions are my own.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #DreamscapeMedia for the book #OurPerfectFamily by #NicolaMarsh. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it is a common problem among people and what it can do to a family. Austin and Kate, along with their daughter, Mia, are the perfect family. Or are they? After a photo is taken of Mia and plastered all over the school, everything starts to unravel. Secrets that were never meant to be revealed are now out there. Can they all survive this?

This book had an interesting storyline. I liked the different POVs and the misleading characters. The narration was great as well.

This is my very first book review, so please go gentle on me!

How well do you really know the person you love? In Nicola Marsh’s The Perfect Couple, secrets run deep, and trust is put to the ultimate test in this twisty, fast-paced thriller.

This psychological thriller follows a seemingly perfect couple, but as past secrets unravel, their relationship is pushed to its breaking point. Marsh expertly weaves a web of deception, making you question every character’s motives. The story unfolds with gripping suspense, keeping you second-guessing with well-placed red herrings and unexpected turns.

One of the book’s biggest strengths is its pacing—it never drags, yet it doesn’t feel rushed. The twists are executed flawlessly, and just when you think you’ve figured everything out, Marsh delivers another surprise. The way she ties everything together at the end left me completely satisfied.

I may have just found a new favorite author in Nicola Marsh! I’ll certainly be looking into more of her work after this. A huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to review this wonderful book.

If you love domestic thrillers packed with psychological tension, unreliable narrators, and shocking revelations, The Perfect Couple is a must-read. A solid 5/5 stars!

Story is told from the POV of the ‘’Perfect family’ –
Austin ~ Dad/Husband
Kate~ Mom/Wife
Mia ~ Daughter Mia.

Story starts with high school teacher Austin Yates who is a devoted family man and perfect husband and has his life in control.
However, is beyond upset when teenage daughter Mia has been bullied but a near nude photo posted on social media.
She means everything to him—and he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her.

Austin’s wife Kate is a good wife and mother. However, she is ashamed by her behavior at a party where she got drunk, depressed and hide in the house to cry. A guy saw her distress and comforted her which ended with a kiss. – However the guy was teenage friend of Mia’s!!!!

Then Kate learns of rumors against Austin.

I found neither Austin nor Kate all that perfect in fact, neither was all that likeable. But the story kept me curious. The end was great ~ ALL their secrets and lies were exposed on the last night!!

The narrators Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutliffe, did a great job performing the characters, I enjoy audiobooks and especially like when there are several narrators.

Want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media/Dreamscape First for this audiobook.

They are the picture-perfect family, but their life is far from perfect! Austin and Kate Yates are shocked and alarmed when Mia, their teenage daughter, is traumatized when an intimate picture of her goes viral. Austin goes into protection mode and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his daughter. Judgement, gossip, assumptions, lies, deception and secrets swirl around them as their lives get turned upside down!

Nicola Marsh does a great job building tension and delivering drama. Online attacks and the leaking intimate photos are something that a lot of teens and adults have experienced. Readers are given the POVs of Mia, Austin, Kate which is a nice touch giving readers insight into their thoughts and motivations. I felt for Mia and her feelings about the intimate pictures of her being shared online.

This book seemed straightforward when I started it, but it soon became apparent that Marsh had a few twists up her sleeve. This book had a nice number of twists and reveals which kept the book moving at a nice pace and kept me fully invested.

I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrators did a great job of bringing this book to life.

"Our Perfect Family" was not a perfect fit for this fastidious reader.

Although the book was well-written with strong character development, it partially unfolded from the POV of a teen girl and, therefore, had a strong YA vibe.

I am not a fan of the YA genre.

In addition, I do not enjoy books with sexually explicit content and/or books about the sharing of intimate images of a teen on a mobile phone without her consent.

I listened to the audiobook read by Jodie Harris, Nikki Thomas, and Andrew Cutliffe.

I always enjoy multi-cast audiobooks and all narrators did a superb job with the narration.

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, this book was wild. This "perfect family" is a prime example of a tangled web! There are so many secrets, lies, and underhanded deeds.

I liked the short chapters, and the storyline was easy to follow. The narrators also did a great job.

One thing I felt it needed was a little more suspense to make the ending more surprising. Other than that, I thought this was an enjoyable listen, and I recommend it.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the advanced audiobook. All opinions are my own.

This Thriller is about the drama and sinister skeletons in the closets of the Yates family.

There are 3 parallel POVs: mom, dad, and daughter. All 3 offer glimpses of secrets, past and current.

All the drama converges on one fateful night when all the lies are exposed.

This was a quick and easy listen. I enjoyed it.
