This book was amazing, following some incredible individuals through their awesome stories of WWII in Berlin. I really enjoy WWII literature; however, I have never come across anything so intimate into the realities right in Berlin for those Jews still surviving in society. I'd highly recommend this read. Meticulously researched, heartbreaking, and inspiring.

This book is a fascinating account of survival against all odds during WWII in the very heart of the Nazi regime. The survivors' tales are well-told and suspenseful. Adults and my older students would enjoy this book.
