So many books have come and gone yet for some reason LAST HIT is one of those rare stories that remains stuck in my mind. There’s just something about Nick and Daisy that continues to have this complete hold on me.

In Last Hit: Reloaded we witness the couple struggling to establish a life of normalcy. They’re both in college trying to fit it but for one reason or another they stand out like a sore thumb. They both are outcasts. This isn’t an issue for Nick. It doesn’t bother him one bit but when he sees just how this affects Daisy – this is when it becomes his problem. Their life together as a couple is perfect but in all ways he wants her to be happy. He goes out of his way to provide opportunities for her to gain friends yet no matter what he does it seems to backfire.

There was one girl in particular – Christine, that catches Daisy’s attention. Christine in a way was so much like her that she could not help but get to know her and embed herself into her life. Being the observant person that he is, Nick notices that something isn’t quite right with Christine. He tries his damnest not to hover, to provide Daisy with a sense of independence that she never experienced growing up but he finds it so difficult letting go. His number one priority is always going to be Daisy’s safety.

And while most would be annoyed with his over protectiveness, I found this especially endearing. Here we have this cold-blooded murderer who once had not a single ounce of empathy now willing to display his boundless emotions for this simple girl. The love and passion he had for Daisy was remarkable. He literally would do anything for her – even come out of his retirement. Oh yeah!

I immensely enjoyed this book. For a novella, I thought it packed a hard punch. My only regret is that this story wasn’t longer. I simply can not get enough of this unique couple. Hopefully we will hear more about them in the future books.

I would definitely recommend this book to those who’ve read the first book in the series Last Hit. Haven’t red this remarkable romance yet? What are you waiting for?

Freaking love this series and was super glad to have another peek at what was going into Nick and Daisy's new life together. I really enjoy these two together so much and that we got to see that it wasn't all love hearts and flowers because that so isn't what this series is about. It was fun to have another peek into their world and how they're going forward together.
