Stacy Finz has provided a little bit of a departure from her episodic stories set in Northern California in 'Your Every Wish'. While still set in California the story involves half-sisters who only meet when their father dies and leaves them an inheritance. At first for me the characters were not likeable, so it took awhile to get into the book. It redeemed itself by providing heartfelt insight into difficult familial and other relationship problems. Add to the story a whimsical 'Wish Giver' and it ends as a delightful read for Finz fans.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

This book was wonderfully done! I could not get over the ending and how much I loved the main character in this story. It was a beautiful book.

This whimsy read was a mix of growing up, connecting with family, and realizing life what is what you make it. The overall plot of the book was pretty heartwarming, and I felt proud of both characters by the end, however getting there was a bit of a test in patience.
Emma - advice columnist, sweetheart, and optimist. She's swimming in denial about her relationship with Dex. It's realistic that she can see the problems of others, and even knows what people should do, but can't see it for herself.
Kennedy - assertive. Despite her growing up with a negligent mother with no financial literacy, she's done pretty well for herself. That said, most of her actions (or lack thereof) were confusing to me. She runs around being quite domineering, bossy, and rude to everyone because of her own self-created problem. Yes, her mother stole the money, and yet she doesn't want her mom to get fired for it? That's absolutely ridiculous - what's to stop her from doing it again and again if you just enable her theft? In fact, that's how much of the book tracks - Kennedy just enables her mother over and over again. Super realistic and even more frustrating.
Despite my initial dislike of the MCs, the author does a fantastic job of creating a compelling story. Although I did find some aspects way too unrealistic, and others way too obvious, this was still an uplifting book.

This was an entertaining book! I do think it needs a little bit of work in some areas. It had a bit too much going on at once and a lot was left unresolved, so that part was disappointing. But I did love the magical realism and the way the story went!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

A wonderful story about half sisters who didn’t have a relationship and when are forced to connect become really close, “Your Every Wish”, by Stacy Finz, combines the siblings’ bonding process with a mystery plot, some romance, secrets and lots of humor.
I loved the sisters, Emma and Kennedy. They’re so different yet share similarities. I loved watching resentment, wariness, jealousy, and wrong assumptions slowly crumble. They form strong bonds organically, and despite Kennedy’s strong (and sometimes funny) resistance.
I really liked each sister personality and enjoyed their love interests, although the romances are secondary (the story is more forcused on the sisters and on their father’s legacy).
I enjoyed the sense of commmunity and mutual help in the trailer parker, and its lively, quirky residents; Misty is a great character and assumes a motherly and protective role with the “girls”.
The sisters’ romantic partners are also interesting and have engaging backgrounds slowly revealed
The books is a very pleasant, enjoyable reading, and I often found myself laughing or smilling.

I tried to get into this book and couldn’t connect with the characters. I’m sure it will be a good fit for others.
