Inked by Eric Smith is a vibrant, fast-paced fantasy about destiny, rebellion, and the power of choice. Caenum lives in a world where tattoos magically bind people to predetermined paths, but he’s determined to escape his fate. As he fights for freedom, he uncovers deeper secrets that threaten everything. Perfect for fans of YA fantasy with a unique twist!
This is a good story with an intriguing premise. Quick, easy, and diverting. I wish we'd lingered a bit in the actual Inked world as I found it a very cool idea. There are some story and character choices that feel a bit cart before the horse. And I found the lack of character agency frustrating, as I really liked the premise. Definitely written for younger readers.
Eric Smith takes you on a high-octane fantasy adventure, perfect for anyone who has dreamed of being different… only to discover that fate is more than skin deep.
Already reviewed and feedback sent ages ago. Not sure why these are duplicating. But please find review content at my archived blog www.behindonbooks.wordpress.com
- Thanks! Sorry this is a little haphazard. Just trying to clear my Shelf here. :)
This makes me so sad because I love Eric and find his writing typically engaging on the internet but I could not get into this at all :(
