There something I don’t quite like about the tone of this book. It seems to have a slightly psychodynamic approach - coming from a position of lack rather than one of abundance. For me this is integral to my coaching. The author does make some very valid points about reflective and deliberate practice, although I felt that the concept of achievement orientation could leave the coachee feeling like they are not good enough. I am grateful for the change to get an early copy of this as it’s always good to get another perspective.

I am using this book to be coached. Understanding what deliberate practise is and is not. There are examples for each concept introduced.
