This was thoughtful and very authentic! I appreciated how genuine Guttman's writing voice is and how he meets readers (particularly parents) where they are with their understanding of autism and parenting as a single dad. (as well as his nuanced perspectives on both). This seems like the kid of book that could help other dads feel less alone.

James Guttman's Hi World, I'm Dad is a decent exploration of what it means to be a male carer.
He tells everything as they are, and this book is not a self-indulgent telling of his personal experience. He talks about the lesser considered and specific cases of being a parent, a father, and a father to neurodivergent children.
His voice is authentic and relatable.
I highly recommend this book to all parents, but especially fathers of autistic children.
