This is a very suspenseful book with lots of twists and turns. What a rollercoaster of a page-turner! What a twist!

I read this on a plane trip and it made the 3 hour plane trip disappear as it was so much fun to read (the premise and the twists were unbelievable but worked well). I have read several books by this author and they are always interesting - pure escapism.

I started this full of hope as I have enjoyed the jack logan serieswritten by the same author, however this left me wanting. I didn't particularly warm to the mother or the vile PTA crowd which always makes reading more of a chore. However it soon was in realms of totally unbelievable, and working in a primary school this is usually my gripe where a school setting is concerned. A school with a fence a woman could hop over? An open door at night? A janitors room full of chemicals, unlocked? Security cameras everywhere with a monitor which is accessible to anyone? Come on, please. Schools usually don't even have enough money for glue sticks.
As a side note, the missing daughter is 9 and has an iPad etc but the cover shows a much younger girl in a toddler swing! Misleading.

I have read this Author's books before and i really enjoyed them. I Was really excited when I got approved for this one and I'm so glad I did. I couldn't read it fast enough. An utterly amazing read with lots of twists and turns. I'm giving it 4.5 stars as I would of liked to know things that weren't explained in parts. But a great thriller and i will be recommending to members of the plot thickens book club on facebook and Instagram.

I have read all the DCI Logan books by JD Kirk. They are dark, gritty, with a touch of humor, fast-paced and so well-written that I can't turn the pages fast enough. So you can imagine how excited I was to see something new, and different, by this author come up on netgalley. Was it bad? No. Was it great? Eh, not really. I had figured it out pretty early on what the "twist" was, so the ending was no big reveal or surprise. It was fast paced and event thought I had it figured out, I read the whole book. Would I recommend it? Sure. It's an easy read, but I like his Logan series way better.

This was my first J.D.Kirk novel. The suspense is there from the very first page. I had a ton of questions which is why I chose to keep reading. I wanted to”My Daughter Is Missing” to be a little more realistic. At times, Elizabeth (Hollie’s Mom) really got on my nerves.

This was an OK read. My opinion is mine alone and I encourage other readers to check it out.

This book had me flying through for the longest time. I found it exciting and interesting. It was surprising and had me fully engaged. But the end totally fell flat for me. I still have so many important questions about how the daughter was taken, and whose POV was the last chapter. Really loved it until the end.

J D Kirk the author of the many excellent DCI Logan and Bob Hoon books now turns his hand to writing as a woman in his new book My Daughter Is Missing! As a great fan of the aforementioned series I was eager to see how this panned out. My initial thoughts on seeing the cover and the title was Oh no Barry's sold out!! I couldn't have been more wrong. This novel is very clever and an absolute hoot! I read it in one sitting putting my (and my family's) life on hold until it was finished. The author's wicked sense of humour is in there as well as a cracking story with as many twists and turns as a big dipper. I hope other readers enjoy this as much as I did and J D Kirk gets the recognition he deserves as a very talented writer.

A superb stand-alone thriller from J D Kirk. When her daughter goes missing after a school Halloween party, Elizabeth panics. She can't involve the police as she has too many secrets of her own and too much to lose.
This is a gripping and engrossing read with some unexpected twists. Very entertaining.

I've read similar novels where a child is missing so was interested to see how this would pan out. It was a good read overall, but similar to many others I've read before. That being said, it was well written and I did enjoy it overall.

My little girl has vanished. And I can’t tell anyone! My nine-year-old daughter Hollie should be leaving school smiling and laughing with all the other children but she’s not here. I run frantically, checking everywhere, my voice growing louder, but I can’t see her bright blue eyes and heart shaped face anywhere. Pure panic washes over me. This is my worst nightmare! Great chilling thriller! This book had great suspense, mystery, murder, past dark secrets, and some crazy twists and turns! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Elizabeth's daughter goes missing during a disco. She enlists the help of her estranged sister, Sasha, who seems to uncover the clues before Elizabeth does.

This is the first book I have read by JD Kirk. I would like to read more.
The plot of this book was good, and the twist was phenomenal, but I found the characters undeveloped.
I had to find out why Elizabeth could not report Hollie's disappearance, it seemed odd, but I did have an inkling of her reluctance to do so.
There was a lot of what I call "filler description" in the book, which I don't like. I prefer more action and getting on with the story. However, I do recommend.

3/5 stars from me.

This story was an absolute WILD ride from start to finish. I could not figure out the plot twist in this book until it was revealed. JD Kirk sure does know how to write a suspense and stressful novel that makes you question who’s who until the very last page. I truly enjoyed the nerdy Dr. Who and Godzilla references he made in this book. If you’re looking for a page turning suspenseful story, grab a cozy beverage and sit down and relax and get ready to be glued to the pages of this book cause it won’t disappoint!

A wonderfully clever plot, surprises at every turn. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and now I’m a firm fan. Without a doubt 5 stars - I LOVED it!
