I absolutely DEVOURED this book.
The pace, the smut, the sass, it was just so good.

One thing to mention is this book is honestly about 70% smut. I’m not mad about it, but if you’re not into that then this is absolutely not the right book for you.

My only negative, and it wasn’t negative enough to warrant knocking off a star, was that I wanted MORE. I wanted more of a slow burn with Jax, more world building, more back story of the Legends and their parents. I don’t think i’ve ever wanted a book to slow down before? It was so fast paced that I found myself disappointed when things were over so quickly.

I am eagerly awaiting the second instalment of the Never List saga.

"It will consume me if I let it. It will send me into absolute madness if I allow it, but wouldn't it be such a sweet way to go?"

Okay, for a start, I was a bit worried when I realised that this was why choose with 4MMC and 1FMC that it was going to be 400 pages of pure smut... I can confirm, it was not!

It was the perfect mix of plot, spice, angst and banter. I laughed, I gasped and I cried real tears reading this... multiple times 😂 every Prince had me falling for them in their own way.

And the cliff hanger...oh my god. Rylee and the Legends of Chaos left you on the edge of your seat. To dangle there for God knows how long.... I'll just be here waiting until the next book ⚰️

Would I say this is a good book? No. Did I love it and eat it up within less than 24 hours? YES.

The Never List is a super fast paced, easy read, why choose romantasy that feels like the love child of the Broken Bonds series and the bachelor but there’s 4 bachelors and only one girl.
I really enjoyed the pacing in this book and the story line was really unique and intriguing!
I did see the big reveal at the end coming from a mile away but this didn’t put me off at all. I’m very excited to see what book 2 in the series brings!!

Their Love. Kitten. Darling. Liar. Butterfly. Her Legends

Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing an ARC for The Never List.

I've found a new favourite writer! Wow. Just, wow.
I couldn't put the book down!!!

A why choose 4x MMC aptly named Legends of Choas! The FMC was feisty and strong. I really enjoyed reading about her and seeing how she interacted with each MMC.

I felt like I spent a lot of time getting to know Kal, but Axl's, Pierce and Jax's were half as long so I was a little disappointed and would have liked longer with each MMC 😍

When there was spice... it was spicing 🥵🥵🌶🌶🌶

That ending though; so many questions and that cliff hanger WAS EVIL!!!!!!

I could read Jade Presley all day long. I need to know what happens next...

The Never List is the first book in a spicy romantasy where the heroine does not have to choose between her love interests. I was so excited when I heard that this book featured a reverse harem romance that I neglected to read the synopsis and went in blind.

The Never List is fast paced and extremely enjoyable. Every single chapter made me more and more invested in Rylee and her Princes. I really loved the dynamics between them all and I liked how she was able to interact with each of them separately as well as together.

After the way this book ended, I have so many questions and I am highly looking forward to reading more. My favourite prince was definitely Jax and I cannot wait to see more from him in the sequel.

When is book 2 coming out?!?! I loved this!!
So easy to fall into this book and get lost in the world. The characters are so easy to fall
In love with, I loved how the 4 MMC are all so different but yet I loved them all! And the FMC is a strong character that also had the right amount of feisty fire in her.

My first book from this author but won’t be my last, I very much look forward to continuing this series in the future

This was the first Why Choose that I've read that didn't feel icky!!

I was so invested in each of their individual relationships, and I loved how it tired into the story and there was a reason there was one mate.

There wasn't a lot of plot, but you definitely read this for the romance element - and the romance I did really enjoy!!

Rylee was self assured and was easy to read, at no point did she cringe me out which usually happens with why choose books!

Full reccomend for a quick, easy and SPICY read.

Definitely a good romantasy. I loved the four mates with their different personalities and characteristics, who wouldn't! But as for the fathers..... Cant wait for the next one.

A why choose Romantasy with plenty of spice and beds big enough for 5. Have I caught your attention? Then The Never List by Jade Presley might need to be added to your tbr. But be warned, this isn’t a lemon and herb read, this is peri peri!
This book follows Rylee Gray who is searching to find her missing sister, but in order to gather information she must partake in a set of trials to become the mate to the 4 princes.
This is a fast paced story that unfortunately puts spice before plot which I found to be lacking somewhat. The world building falls a bit flat, and although all 4 princes have distinctive personalities, it felt like the setting severely lacked.
This book would be ideal for those who like their romantasy books leaning more to romance than fantasy.

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Was this the most groundbreaking book I’ve ever read? No. But did I have an absolute blast reading it? Yes! The Never List is the kind of book you fly through in one sitting—it’s fast-paced, fun, and packed with just the right amount of spice.

And that plot twist? I did not see that coming. Just when I thought I knew where things were going, everything flipped. But the real kicker? That cliffhanger. I don’t think I’ve ever been more frustrated by one, in the best way possible. I need the next book ASAP.

If you’re looking for an easy, spicy, and thoroughly entertaining read, this one is definitely for you!

The Never List by Jade Presley is a romantasy book that is about four Legends of Chaos Jax, Kal, Axl and Pierce and is told from the perspective of Rylee Gray the female main character. Rylee is from a place called Ashland which the best way I can describe it is the District 12 of this universe Rylee’s older sister Erin goes missing so she decides to sneak into an event called The Choosing where the four legends need to choose a mate in order for them to ascend the throne and their powers to reach their full potential. Despite Rylee sneaking around and keeping her head down to look for information on her sisters whereabouts she is still chosen to be the legends mate potential at first she dreads this but concludes that she can use the access to resources and information to her advantage.
I did really enjoy the concept of this story the characters, their powers and the world building was amazing I really also liked Rylee’s strength and determination in finding her sister I loved the representation of friendship with Rylee and her best friends. However, there are things if I’m being honest that I’m slightly critical about for example the continuous use of the word ‘Goddess’ or ‘Goddesses’ I appreciate in that universe God does not exist but the word or its plural was used on every single page if not multiple times and considering there are 410 pages that’s a lot for me. I appreciate that this books is a romantasy however I do wish there was more of a focus on the fantasy elements or a better balance between the fantasy and romance because while the romance was good I couldn’t help but pick up on the lack of fantasy throughout I just feel that would have elevated the book even further. This book is very spicy and I don’t mind spice but I did feel it was slightly overkill and found myself skimming over it after a while there were some parts of scenes that kind of gave me the ick but I cannot talk about them without spoiling the book.

This book? was phenomenal. That cliffhanger? Deadly.
Let me just go shove my head in a hole and cry at the book hangover that will now follow. Jade Presley knocked this one out of the park, and it was epic. Four princes, give me all of them. I love them all, but Jax my emo feeling nightmare sad boy, omg I love him so much. Thank you for the chance to read.

I'm not normally a fan of why choose books, I didn't realise this when I started reading it, however I must say it was done perfectly. I couldn't put this book down, I wanted to skip work so I could finish it. It was a little cliché, I enjoyed the twist at the end and I love that the FMC got to explore the MMCs I'm the book rather than it being focused on purely smut. I do wish that it was longer, I loved that time jumps etc but I really really liked jax and would have loved to get under his skin more. I will read the next one and I will buy a physical of this once it releases.

It's so hard to find great why choose books where the romance and spice feel authentic and well-balanced among all the characters, but The Never List absolutely hits the mark. From the very first chapter, I was hooked by the clever writing, the depth of the characters, and the richly imagined world.

I absolutely adore the main character. She's feisty, relatable, and so refreshingly real. I found myself cheering for her, empathising with her struggles, and celebrating her triumphs. She is the kind of protagonist who feels like a friend by the time you turn the last page.

The love interests were another highlight for me. Each one was so distinct, with their own well-developed personalities, strengths, and vulnerabilities. I loved how Jade gave each of them their own space to shine in the narrative. They weren't just love interests—they were dynamic, layered individuals with their own arcs that seamlessly intertwined with the main character's journey. It made the romance feel so genuine and compelling, which is no small feat.

The world-building and fantasy elements were equally impressive. The intricate details of the setting brought the story to life, immersing me in a world that was both vivid and imaginative. The plot was tightly woven, with a perfect balance of heavy romance, steamy moments, and thrilling fantasy elements. Jade truly managed to blend these aspects so beautifully. It’s not an easy task to juggle such different elements, but she made it look effortless.

I also appreciated how the story didn’t just rely on the spice—though there was plenty of that, and it was done exceptionally well—but also had a strong emotional core. The connections between the characters felt heartfelt and natural, adding depth and meaning to their relationships beyond the physical.

I would wholeheartedly recommend The Never List to fans of The Bonds That Tie (Broken Bonds series) or Bonded by Thorns. If you love stories with strong, relatable heroines, multidimensional love interests, and a perfect blend of fantasy and romance, this book is a must-read. It's a rare gem in the why choose genre, and I can't wait to see what Jade comes up with next.

If you are in need of a why choose romantasy, look no further than this book. Presley weaves a captivating tale of Rylee, an Ashlander girl who never should have been at the Choosing and now that she has been chosen by the Legends of Chaos and a potential mate, she must ensure that they fall in love with her or run the risk of being executed.

This was a really well-paced story where the plot and the spice were balanced well; will say that the author's note makes it seem that this book will be significantly spicier but I can take or leave spice so it wasn't a negative to have less than I was expecting, I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters individually and the occasional POV from one of the Princes added a nice extra perspective. I particularly appreciated that the romance was drawn-out over several books but rather that this book firmly establishes the romance so that the fantastical elements can be more of a focus in the books moving forward in the series. There were a good number of twists and turns and the characters responded in interesting and unexpected ways. That cliffhanger, though? Yeah, that just about killed me and I am desperate for Book 2!

I absolutely loved this book! I tore through it in a single day, and it came so close to being a five-star read for me.

The Never List follows Rylee, a girl from one of the poorest districts, who is desperately searching for her missing sister. With the help of her friends, she sneaks into the Royal Choosing Ceremony—never expecting to be selected as a potential mate for the four princes of Lumathyst. Now, she must keep her true identity hidden while navigating court intrigue, resisting (or succumbing to) the charms of the princes, and figuring out who she can truly trust.

Rylee is a total badass—fierce, fearless, and completely unfiltered, which makes for some tense (and often hilarious) moments, especially given the dangerous situation she’s in. Watching her character develop throughout the story was incredibly satisfying.

I also loved how the plot was structured in a way that gave each of the four princes time to shine. In many why-choose romances, the love interests can sometimes blend together, but that wasn’t the case here. Each prince felt distinct and well-developed:

Kal – the kind, caring one.
Axl – the laidback wild one.
Pierce – the introverted, intelligent one.
Jax – the deliciously broody bad boy.

The chemistry between Rylee and the princes ranged from emotional to steamy, and I only wish we had more scenes with all five of them together—hopefully, future books will deliver on this!

The cliffhanger absolutely wrecked me, leaving me with a serious book hangover. But despite that frustration, I can’t recommend this book enough!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quercus Books for providing me with this ARC

Thank you to the author and publishers for the e-ARC via NetGalley!

This book….I don’t even know where to begin. Let me first say that this book was my introduction to the ‘why choose?’ trope. And what a memorable first it was. In fact, I don’t think any other similar trope will ever measure up to this one. I have been glued to my kindle to read this, and I could not read it fast enough. And when I wasn’t reading this book, I was thinking about it. The character development? Incredible. The diversity of the characters? Phenomenal. The plot itself? Impeccable. I truly do not have a single bad word about this book. It was so easy to read, there were different perspectives which helped increase the understanding of the characters. There was plot lines, and relationship developments, and although there is smut, it’s appropriately placed and just feels *right*. I don’t know which character I’m more in love with, I love every single one of them. I really love a strong female lead, and Rylee was exactly how I want to be: fearless, outspoken, and a bit of a handful. If I could only read one book for the rest of my life, this would be it. The emotions this book evoked in me was something I’ve never felt before; I cried, gasped, laughed, and screeched in happiness.
I NEED the sequel more than I need air to breathe, and the wait time is gonna feel like forever! If I could rate this 100 stars, I would.
