I love Max Monroe books. You know you’re in for a late night or a totally unproductive Sunday the second their newest release hits your Kindle—and this one is no exception!
This book delivers one of my favorite tropes: the girl who’s secretly in love with her best friend’s older brother. June has crushed on Beau for years, but when she starts working at her best friend Avery’s parents’ company, she finds herself suddenly sharing office space—and a lot more—with him.
Beau is competing for a big ad campaign involving a new anonymous chat app called Midnight. When June suspects his rival is cheating, she decides to reach out through the app and warn him… anonymously. What starts as a helpful tip quickly turns into flirty, witty daily conversations. Beau is hooked—but imagine his surprise when he finds out the mysterious woman he can’t stop thinking about is none other than June.
As always, Max Monroe delivers rom-com gold: hilarious banter, swoony slow-burn romance, and characters you just want to root for. If you love brother’s best friend tropes, workplace romance, or just really great chemistry, don’t miss this one! I enjoyed this so much after reading the digital copy I requested the audio version. A great way to make Sunday chores go by while listening to!
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for this free advanced copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily

I am a swiftie through and through and I can absolutely say this is a book Taylor herself would love to read. Its a perfect contemporary romance and has everything I look for in a great read.

Juniper and Beau are my new favorites! Listening to their love story was so easy, I didn't want to press pause. I loved the anonymous-ish love that they built through his Midnight app. Best friend's brother is one of my favorite tropes! Even in a beautiful romantic comedy (and trust me, Max Monroe knows how to write them!) it adds a little forbidden element that makes the drama build and I love that

This audiobook is so cute! The whole time I was listening I kept thinking how this would make a great movie for Netflix. I love the humor and relatability that so many of the FMC have in books by Max Monroe. I found myself chuckling and also rooting for the adorable two-some while I sat back and listened to their story unfold. This was a great break between my heavier historical fiction reads and provided enough depth to keep me entertained throughout.
I would definitely recommend this to those looking for something with romance and spice while also being light and funny. I would like to thank the publisher, Max Monroe, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

DNF at 78% I feel like I made a valiant effort at this point and got the full gist of the book.
There’s a lot to break down with this book and the first one is, if you make a disclaimer at the beginning of your book on how funny it is and how you won’t be able to put it down, you have some huge shoes to fill. Either my humor doesn’t align with the authors’ or other readers’ humor, but I really didn’t find this book super comical. It was cutesy at time, but never bust out laughing.
I think the concept of this book is very fun, but the execution didn’t work for me. This book is about a bunch of nepo babies working for their dad or BFF’s dad. The characters were very flat and there was no character development in any of them. There was no real reason the FMC and love interest should fall in love besides superficial reasons. I don’t need anything too crazy as a reason, but give me something more than she thought he was hot from the first time she met him.
I thought this book was going to be a Rom-Com, but it was more of a cringy erotica book. Out of no where, the characters are semi-anonymously texting each other and they start sexting each other. She knows who he is, but he doesn’t know who is on the other side of the messages. They send photos to each other and the dialogue is so cringy and overly spicy for a guy who has zero clue who is on the other side.
Once I was at 78% of the book, I realized I didn’t care anymore, I wasn’t vested in the characters or their relationship, and I felt like the story was pretty much done.
Thanks NetGalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Entertaining friends to lovers/best friend's brother romance. Unique and interesting characters, funny, romantic and steamy. I loved the dynamic between Juniper and Beau. Seth and Bethany each getting their comeuppance was perfect. Avery was a little over the top as a spoiled rich girl, but she has a good heart and I'm hoping she will be redeemed in her story next. Great read, as always, by Max Monroe. I listened to the Audiobook and found the narration good.

Just like hot sauce, this was spicy! I just loved how the MMC took control in the bedroom, but was a complete simp for the FMC outside of the bedroom. Also, I love that he was a goalie and in a leadership position (if not officially) and how these three sides of him mesh together. I also really loved that he could recognise when he was going too far with any of these three sides. Seriously, this is a guy I have always been looking for. Thank you Helena for bringing Roman to life. While this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading as part of the series as there was a lot of background to understand. I do wish that this was read as a duet though.

Big thanks to Helena Hunting for a copy of this audiobook. This is my honest opinion.

"Don't rush your first kiss...focus on making sure you find the right boy to give the first kiss to because, Juniper, it's an honor. Any boy who gets your first kiss should consider himself lucky not the other way around....you're not waiting to get it, you're waiting to give it. Don't settle for anyone who doesn't deserve the gift."
Juniper was 10 years old and had a crush on her best friend Avery's 15 year old brother Beau. Then he said the above to her when she was a teen crying on the beach after Avery kissed a boy Juniper thought she'd kiss to get over crushing on Beau. Now she knew she loved him.
Meet Me At Midnight, by the hilarious writing romantic comedy duo Max Monroe, is a laugh out loud listen. Surprisingly, it's also a sweet story about friendships, secrets and found family.
Juniper's been "adopted" into Avery and Beau's family since she was a kid as her parents are basically living in their own world. She doesn't want to act on her feelings and upset her place in the family; but when she finds out about sabotage that could ruin Beau's career, she finds a way to secretly be with him. Using a new dating app called Midnight, she anonymously texts him about the sabotage. Then the flirting starts and the problem is, after a while, Beau wants more and so does Juniper. But Beau doesn't know he's texting he's sister's BFF...until she agrees to meet him at midnight.
C.J. Bloom is wonderful as Juniper but as the sassy privileged often obnoxious Avery she gave her a sensitivity that surprised me. It's my first listen to Alexander Cendese and his charming Beau is the perfect romantic lead.
Avery's story is next and I hope she gets over her spoiled self. Meet Me At Midnight is a delightful listen anytime.

for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you @NetGalley for the ARC. Meet Me at Midnight was such a cute book. The audio was so much fun to listen to. This a friends to lovers, best friend brother romance. Juniper and Beau have been circling each other forever and when Juniper finds out that Beau is the man she has been talking to online, now is her chance to see if he feels the same way. So cute.

Dating apps meet Love is Blind??? Yes, please! I adored the hiding in plain sight aspect of the secret messages, and the story kept me coming back for more with how steamy the messages were. Beau and June were so adorable even in the flashbacks! I loved that he never thought about her as anything but a little sister before all of this started because 5 years is a big difference when you are in high school, etc. The one thing that I will note is that I always feel like the best friends overreact in the “best friend’s brother” trope, but who am I to judge since I don’t know what it is like?

I enjoyed the concept of the FMC and MMC getting to know each other over this anonymous app even though they actually already knew each other quite well. The FMC would have never had the nerve to act on her very long secret crush of the best friend’s brother without the app. I found the best friend/sister to be whiny and the two females didn’t always treat each other the best. The conflict was predictable but in the end they got their HEA and I really loved the wedding experience.

Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe is a cute romcom about a best friends brother secretly being the ultimate crush. When working on an ad campaign for an app that allows secret communications, these two start chatting. She knows it's him, but he has no idea who she is. Things between them start to get a bit spicy and as things progress there are challenges and really good things ahead. His family is her family from the beginning, but what happens when their secret is out?
I liked that we found out some future details about Juniper and Beau.

Oh my goodness this was such a good audiobook! I literally finished in two sittings, because I didn’t want to stop listening! Loved it!

Thank you for the opportunity to listen to this arc. So the narrators made this book! The plot was a good idea, the characters were also ok. It felt a little disjointed at times, also rushed and somewhat predictable. Overall I enjoyed it.

It was okay. I had a hard time connecting with the FMC and MMC.
FMC has had a long time crush on the MMC, her best friend's brother. They use an anonymous app to communicate.
Narrators were fantastic.

3.75⭐, 2.75🌶️
Okay, so this book started, and I was excited. I love a hidden identity and why Juniper stayed a secret with Beau at first made sense. Then things started to not make sense. The switch from mystery to spicy was very fast. And once Beau learned who she was, I think I blinked or all the spice was shoved into like 15% of the book, and a lot was closed door illusions.
What I didnt like about this book felt like I was just going through some picky bits. The best friend/ sister was not loveable at all, no matter how much the author tried to make her sound so. Im curious to see if she gets her own book and actually develops a personality that's not "spoiled brat." I couldn't fall in love with Beau cause he was too high up on a mantel - I feel like we learned more of Juniper's crush with him than him during this book.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC of this book in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you to Max Monroe, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for an ALC of Meet Me at Midnight!
I absolutely LOVED this book. The narrators were PHENOMENAL. I am a big fan of the format where male narrators narrate all male speaking parts, even during a female's segment, and vice versa. Listening is much easier for me this way. The narrators truly nailed the voices.
The book itself was laugh out loud funny. While I was absolutely cringing the entire time June was messaging Beau without him knowing it was her, their chemistry after he found out was off the charts. I loved the banter and the fact that June's best friend leaned so heavily into her character of being a nepo baby. The characters were very well written and stayed true to their personalities throughout the book. Everything was well paced and I truly could not stop listening, nor did I want this book to end.
I can't believe this was my first Max Monroe book, but I will definitely listen to/read more from them and I am so excited for the next book in this series!
5 out of 5 stars.

This was such a fun book! I loved the plotline and the way the romance developed in the story.
A perfect read if you're looking for a fast paced, fun romance book.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the arc!

Always love a Max Monroe book and this audio was so well done. The story was terrific and the narrators did such a great job bringing it to life.

The concept of this book and the title reeled me in! I am sucker for books just like this. SLOW BURN and I loved it.
