Overall I enjoyed this story - I love a good dating app story. Add in best friend's brother and I am a goner.
CJ Bloom & Alexander Cendese did an excellent job bringing these two to life. I wish the story was written in a bit of a different format, I found the 'different parts' with the switching perspectives to be a bit distracting.

June has had a crush on her friend's brother since she was a teen. That's how long she's been keeping that crush to herself. June and her friend, Avery, are interning at Avery's father's company. Avery's brother, Beau, also works there. Avery isn't serious at all about the job, but June does a great job and wants to succeed. June overhears something that could be detrimental to the company. The company has a new app called Midnight. June tells Beau anonymously to meet her on the app. They end up talking often and Beau falls in love with a woman he doesn't know who she is. When he does find out, the book gets even better.
I really liked this book. The spicy scenes are hot. This one had deep emotion mixed with laughs and fun. Once June and Beau got together they had a great connection. The writing was great, and the conflict to keep me listening from start to finish. Avery kind of drove me crazy sometimes. I hated that Neil and Beau enabled her. She did have a big heart and she just didn't have a care in the world. CJ Bloom and Alexander Cendese were phenomenal. They really brought this book to life. My copy of Meet me at Midnight was provided by Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this story so much! Very cute quick read and I’m excited for Avery’s story. I do feel like the female narrator was a little robotic at times but I still it was still a great listen.

Even the openings of Max Monroe books are fun 😌 starting one is like getting a hug from an old, familiar friend that knows exactly what to say to get you to smile and chuckle. The warnings didn’t lie— I COULDN’T put this book down and I DID lose sleep 😂
Love a friend’s sibling trope. Obsessed with the long-term, unwavering pining. Absolutely swooning at the gentle and caring MMC (loved the dual POV). At first I thought that the premise was a bit reminiscent of our favorite Big D*ck Brooks and Whorgie, but quickly found that the story was all it’s sweet and charming own.
From chapter one, I had known that they had done it again— amazing audiobook production with very fun and engaging duet narration. The first few lines already had me actually laughing out loud. While the writing is very funny, it’s CJ Bloom’s delivery that realllly brings it home. Alexander Cendese did an awesome job, too.

Rating: 3 stars for story / 3.5 stars for performance
Format: Audiobook - duet narration by CJ Bloom and Alexander Cendese
Thanks to NetGalley and the author for this ALC - all opinions are my own.
This was a first for me by this author. The story was okay. It felt a little predictable. I really enjoyed Juniper's character. She seemed driven and her crush was believable. Bo seems a bit more shallow as an MMC and I wish we had a little more emotion from him in regard to Juniper. The side characters were hard to get on board with, especially Avery. There was nothing really redeemable about her and I found it unbelievable that these two would be friends or that she and Bo were raised by the same parents. I will try another story from this author because I've heard good things so this may have been a bad one to start with.
CJ Bloom did an amazing job with this performance and she was the reason I was able to continue on with the story. She can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, especially when it comes to the unique tone she gives to each character she portrays. I wasn't a big fan of the male narrator. I got frat boy vibes the whole time, no matter what the scene entailed. I also felt his parts were a bit rushed and since it was a duet narration it was impossible to adjust the speed to accommodate the variation between the two.

Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe is a hilarious romcom that you’ll want to keep reading without putting it down. Max Monroe always writes funny stories, but I particularly enjoyed this one because the humor was incredibly well balanced with the romance and the characters who also had real life challenges.
This story is dual POV, with the female and male character alternating Parts instead of Chapters, which was a fun switch up in the romcom space.
I listened to the audiobook version of this story which was brought to life by two narrators, C.J. Bloom and Alexander Cendese. These two work so well together in audio. And I love that the male narrator does all of the Male POV’s quotes (and so does the female narrator for her part), regardless of which POV we are in. I listened at 1.75x speed (my normal audiobook listening speed is 1.75).
Thank you NetGalley Dreamscape Audio for this advanced listener’s copy.

As the title implies,(yes, I had Lavender Haze stuck in my head the entire time I read this one) this book was full of nods to Taylor swift lore and songs! June was quirky and fun but didn't feel like she fit into the wealthy, priveleged world of this book. Otherwise, very cute story and good chemistry between the two main characters.
g2g play Midnights album on repeat!

Avery has been Juniper Perry’s best friend since kindergarten. Juniper’s parents never seem to have time for her. She was practically raised by her Avery’s parents; they loved her and were good to her. Juniper and Avery are working at the same company and rent a condo together. The drawback of being raised with your best friend is you become part of the family. Juniper is head over heels in love with Beau Banks, Avery’s older brother, but he thinks of her as his little sister.
Juniper is a marketing intern in the Banks family business, where Beau is an executive. Beau has moved into the apartment next door to Juniper. Oh the temptation. No one knows Juniper is struck on Beau; she’s managed to keep it secret for years; afraid she would lose her best friend. He has dark honey-colored eyes and adorable dimples.
Juniper is rocking it as an intern at Banks and McKenzie Marketing. Neil Banks is her new boss. The company is testing a new app called Midnight. Users can chat with other members using a screen name. Beau goes by Thunderstruck and Juniper by ElizaBeth. They cannot use screenshots or save messages. Beau and Juniper are testing the app and start communicating with each other. Juniper knows she is chatting with Beau but he doesn’t know he is talking to Juniper. They chat for several weeks before deciding to meet at the condo’s gym.
Juniper and Beau are adorable characters. Juniper is so nice with strong work ethics and reliable. Beau has a wonderful personality, he’s sweet and so sexy. However, I did not like Avery; she is self-absorbed, no work ethic, and is spoiled rotten. This tale is hilarious.
Thank you to Netgalley and Max Monroe for providing this book in exchange for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Love in the app world can open a new world of possibilities when you are too shy or embarrassed to approach the object of your affection in the real world, but can it last or is it just an illusion in a world of text? This rom com is absolutely outstanding. I am well past the age and time of dating apps, but I totally see how it could be a safe and refreshing way to reach out to someone that you are afraid would never return your affection in the real world. The app is the newest product that the marketing firm is researching to come up with a successful marketing campaign to launch the app into the world with, but it is also a way for coworkers to approach each other when they might be too afraid to do so otherwise. Witty banter, too realistic anxieties revolving around dating and interpersonal relationships as well as awkward interactions not only entertain, but bring a reality to the story that I think everyone can relate to in their own way. I will confess that I am a big Max Monroe fan, but I have to say that this book especially in audio really is an outstanding addition to their catalog of books! The narration does such an amazing job of bringing the characters and their emotions to life in a way that only dual narration can do. It is so wonderful to have both a male and female narrator to make more impact on the characters and really bring the authors' visions to life. If you haven't listened or read a Max Monroe book, you absolutely should and I can recommend highly this one as a starting point! I do hope that they turn this book into a series as there is so much more that these characters can entertain us with! Hint Hint, Avery's story would be a great next book!!! I'd definitely sign up to listen to that one too!

Gosh I love me a fresh serving of #maxmonroe. #meetmeatmidnight was just the kind of audiobook I needed to pull me out of a reading slump. Is it predictable? Yup. Is it delectable? Also yup. And then there's the best worst part... the HEA followed by the build up for the next book that now I have to wait for! Gah! I loved the story of Juniper and Beau and can't wait to continue on their journey as we find out if the future holds any future for Avery and Henry.

I absolutely adored this book! This book is a slowwww burn, and for me, that made their relationship that much better!
💜Best friend’s brother

Juniper, aka June, has been in love with Beau, her best friend’s brother for years. Now they are working together and she has discovered some information that she needs to tell him anonymously. So she does that through the new Midnight app.
They exchange messages until they decide to meet and then things change for real for them. Will their flirting be able to resonate in real life as well?
I loved these two so much. Their flirty banter was the highlight of this book! The pining from June and the falling in love through the app for Beau was truly well done.
Avery, June’s best friend and Beau’s sister, had me cracking up continuously throughout this book. Her total unseriousness was hilarious!
CJ Bloom and Alexander Cendese were fantastic narrators for this book! This might be my new favorite CJ narration. Alexander is a new to me narrator and I can’t wait to listen to more.

My 2nd Max Monroe book and this one didn't disappoint. At the beginning of the book there is a warning. It warns you that the book will have you laughing out loud and that is actually true! There were many giggles and even a few spit your drink out moments. I especially loved the opening scene of the book with a zoom call gone wrong and the words Pussy cat being uttered a LOT!
The premise of the book it quite simple. We have Juniper (June) who is infatuated with her best-friend's brother (Beau) and since she has practically grown up as an unofficial adopted sibling those feelings have never been revealed or persued. When a new dating app (Midnight) is launched and the family's marketing firm has first dibs at trying it out, June decides to use it with Beau. As the app offers anonymity she figures what could go wrong? With the backdrop of a marketing competition and the family dynamics at play can June have her happy ever after with her Beau?
The banter in this book is incredible and the characters were amazing. I really really loved Avery (the best-friend) she was just so rich girl extra and I was here for it. I also loved Neil the Dad. Omg if only all Dad's were like him. Avery and Neil really did provide a lot of the humour in the book.
The audiobook was done very well. It was dual narrated male/female but I especially liked that no matter who's chapters POV it was weather male or female the dialogue of the characters were always voiced by the correct sex of that character which made it more akin to a play or movie.
Many thanks to Dreamscape Media who provided me with a copy of this audiobook via NetGalley for review. All opinions are my own.

Meet Me at Midnight was fun, sweet, and hot all at once. Juniper and Beau grew up together, and Beau’s sister is Juniper’s best friend. Now the three work together at Beau’s father’s company, where all attention is focused on their new app: “Meet me at Midnight.” Juniper has secretly loved Beau for years, and when internal company espionage threatens the work he’s doing, Juniper turns to the still-in-development app to anonymously alert him. Their conversations turn steamy, and eventually, the passion boils over and surprises everyone. The pages of MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT practically turn themselves, and I’m eager for Beau’s sister’s story, coming soon.

Meet Me at Midnight

Meet Me at Midnight by Max Monroe was, beautiful, raw, powerful, real, inspiring and heart breaking all the same time.
Juniper and Avery are best friends, Juniper spends a lot of time with Avery’s family. Juniper has always had a crush on Avery’s brother Beau. Juniper was such a relatable character with how she was able to handle her feelings for Beau while still being professional at work. But the chemistry between Juniper and Beau is off the charts and had me hooked from the start of the book till the end. I loved that Juniper was able to have conversations with Beau without him knowing who it was behind the phone, I really think it made their bond stronger. However, Avery really pissed me off, she’s a spoiled entitled princess who gets everything she wants and barely has to do anything to get it all. I didn’t understand why everyone just let Avery get away without doing anything to earn the things she had in life. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I couldn’t stop listening because I needed to know what happened next.

This is a voluntary review and all my own words.

I really enjoy Max Monroe and this book did not disappointment. A little spicier than I like but cute story. The narrators were excellent. There was a lot of spice but also raw emotions and a good story.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advance listen in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
3.5 rounded to 4.

Juniper & Avery is are best friends and Juniper spent and still spends a lot of time with the family since her family are never there or care. She is super close to them and she is part if the family which includes Beau Averys brother who Juniper has had a crush on forever.
Juniper & Avery start interning at Averys family company and Juniper is taking it very seriously and Avery doesnt (as a side note- she was the typical spoiled I dont need to work its my fathers company just coming and going s she pleased and trying to get Juniper to skip work and go out partying all night. She was not a good friend/person in my opinion)
There is a app they are trying to market and Juniper hears the other guy trying to get Beaus pitch ideas to steal so she starts secretly starts messaging Beau to let him know and a secret texting relationship starts between the 2. The only problem Beau doesn't know who it is. and everything unfolds from there.
This wasn't my favorite from the author duo and I think my main issues were he was getting all hot without knowing who it was and was so into the mystery texter and one he knows who it is its like the clouds parted and there she was this whole time. and He NEVER thought of her that way it would be one thing if he kinda liked her at any point. and Avery was a big downer for me in this book.
Thank you Netgalley for this audio arc in exchange for my honest thoughts.

So cute!!! A little office romance, a little in love with best friend’s brother with a lot of tea to spill!
The narrators nailed it! Lovable characters, fun plot and a love story for the fairytale books!!
The plot flowed well, the main characters had the best chemistry. The side characters are so lovable. I want to be a part of the Banks family too!!!
Thank you Net Galley for the Audiobook ALC! Thank you Max Monroe for a wonderful, happy Romance! And yes, I cackled many times!!!

The storytelling in What Happens at Midnight was a fantastic blend of heart and emotion with all of the customary humour and droll dialogue I’ve come to expect from the writing powerhouse that is Max Monroe making for a fun and engaging romance as lonely rich girl Juniper Perry falls for her BFF Avery’s older brother Beau Banks. Juniper had loved Beau since the day she’d met him when Avery had taken her home but to him, she was like another sister until she finds a way to reach out to him anonymously through a new messaging app, Midnight, where strangers can meet in secrecy with no names, no shame.
Who doesn’t love the idea a secret romance that begins that has no expectations or pressure especially one that allows for some wickedly flirtatious messaging that soon develops into more including spicy photos, well that is the beauty of Midnight – no screenshots allowed. I loved the hero and heroine who were both likeable and normal…. well, compared to Avery that was. Juniper was the kind of character who tugs at your heartstrings, and who you just want to hug. She was so desperate to be part of a family all while suffering from unrequited love for Beau who such a cinnamon roll hero, he would never have looked at Juniper in that way so as ‘Elizabeth’ she was able to flirt with him in safety leading to several amusing inner monologues from Beau as he tried to figure out who she could be. Already half in love with her from their steamy chats, Beau didn’t waste anytime once he found out the identity of his fantasy woman but Juniper was reluctant to go public scared of what his family would think and the longer this dragged on, the harder it got until it blew up in their faces. The one thing I didn’t like about this book was Avery. At first, I was amused by her high maintenance attitude but the more page time she got, the more selfish and self absorbed she became the more I disliked her. She was the worst best friend in the world if she couldn’t see what her friend was going through.
Dual narration for What Happens at Midnight was provided by CJ Bloom and Alexander Cendese who provided fantastic performances bringing these characters to life. CJ in particular was great as Juniper and I loved the sarcastic undertone in her voice when Juniper spoke with Avery, but she also portrayed her pain and fear at the thought of possibly having to choose between Beau or her best friend.

This book had me laughing from the start. I got to listen to the audio of this one in the narrators did a fantastic job. It was a duet narration so our girl said the girl parts and the guy said the guy parts and those two worked perfectly together to bring the story to life.
This is a best friend’s Brother romance. So our main female character had a crush on her best friend‘s brother from the moment she met him, but she hit it so that no one would know.
This is also an office romance on top of it because they work together and through working together, they get to meet at midnight.

Meet me at midnight had me giggling and kicking my feet! Best friends older brother & anonyms chatting? Sign me up!
Description
How good are you at keeping a secret?
Because I, Juniper Perry, have been keeping a big one.
For over a decade, I’ve been crushing on the guy with the easy smile, warm brown eyes, and charismatic charm. He’s all the perfect things that, when you add them up, spell out Man of my dreams. I know that doesn’t sound bad at all, but there’s more to this story... We work together. I’m a lowly intern, and he’s a high-powered executive.
He’s my newest neighbor. No joke—he’s temporarily living next door to me.
And to top it all off, he’s my best friend’s older brother. I’ve spent what feels like an eternity keeping my crush on him a secret, but recently, I’ve found a way to have him and my anonymity too. A way to chat and flirt and get close to him.
My best friend doesn’t know about these Midnight chats.
And he doesn’t know I’m the girl he’s talking to night after night.
Beau Banks might be completely off-limits, but what happens at Midnight stays between us...
