I fear I have more complaints about this book than things I liked about it.
First, only one twist surprised me and then when it was carried out it ultimately wasn’t very important, therefore losing its value. The rest of the twists I predicted, so I wasn’t impressed.
I was not a fan of the writing style. I frequently found myself needing to reread parts to understand what was being said because many sentences were not clearly structured.
I also felt that it was very repetitive and therefore boring. It picked up at the end but with no real payoff. I really wanted to DNF but I received an ARC of this book so I pushed through.
The ending was pretty abrupt as well. I think a huge part of a great plot twist is how well the author can tie all of the lose ends up after the big reveal. And this didn’t really do that at all. It was just over…
I hate to be super negative about a book, but these are my honest opinions. Books are very subjective so just because I didn’t love it doesn’t mean you won’t!

First off, I was drawn to this book by the cover alone. Then the prologue got me hooked and I didn’t want to put it down! Definitely my kind of book!
The story follows the Chase family. Cole who is a neurosurgeon, his wife Maddie who is a nurse, and their three children. All seems normal until Maddie starts receiving threatening texts and phone calls saying her husband is going to kill her. Who are they from? And why?
This book is a good mix of family drama, strained relationships, lies, and murder! I enjoyed that it was written in multiple POVs with short chapters. It started off strong but slowed down a bit through the middle. The characters are well-developed, but I was hoping for a little bit more excitement. Some of the twists were predictable, but others had me guessing. It’s not always the obvious answer… or is it? The ending shocked me and wasn’t how I thought it would end! Overall, I enjoyed reading this book!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

When Maddie married Cole, a surgeon, she didn't realize that by marrying him she would be marrying his job also. Maddie used to date a friend, and fellow co-worker Alex until he cheated on her and she then met Cole who she went on to have twins along with their daughter Ellie.
When Maddie starts getting random text messages from an unknown number she gets scared and starts to question her safety and her marriage.
This is when the book takes an unexpected but entirely to logical turn. I knew the ending about 3/4 of the way through and I lost my excitement. It was very obvious who the culprit was and it left me disappointed that it wasn't someone different. There are a few other twists and turns and the ending well it just ended and left the reader hanging. Like no follow up and that part I still don't know who did it.
Overall a decent read and I liked it.

OMG once I started, I didn’t want to put it down it was such a fantastic page-turner of a psychological thriller. It was such a great unique story which I absolutely loved. It was full of twists and turns I really thought I knew how it was going to end but wow it was definitely a jaw dropping ending which I didn’t see coming. I loved everything about this and will definitely be recommending this fantastic thriller to everyone. This is one of my favourite thrillers I have read this year. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this great book.

Maddie is married to Cole, a highly sort after neurosurgeon and they have three children together, Ellie and twin boys Lucas and Jayden.
Maddie is a nurse and in between looking after the kids works shifts for the NHS, not as they need the money but more to provide her life with a job she truly loves and also in addition to this some time away from the crazy life three children and a marriage can throw at you.
Maddie has felt something a bit off with Cole of late, he is brash at times and seems angry and staying away from home for longer hours than normal. Maddie considers the thought that Cole may be having an affair quite possibly with the very attractive young intern he has been mentoring which would support his state of mind recently. But then she receive s a message stating that her husband is planning on killing her and Maddie feels her world is being turned upside down.
There were times I wanted to shout at Maddie, I won’t say n\much as this would give more of the storyline away but I felt I could see more of what was going on at times than she could. The tension and suspence keeps the pace of the book moving along nicely and with some interesting twists along the way the book is an entertaining psychological thriller that will hold your attention.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of the book, all options expressed are my own.

My Loving Husband by Sheryl Browne is a fast-paced, addictive psychological thriller that will keep you hooked from start to finish. The story follows a woman who begins to question everything she knows about her seemingly perfect marriage after a series of unsettling events begin to unfold. Browne masterfully builds tension, weaving in twists and turns that keep readers guessing.
The psychological tension in the book is well-crafted, and the sense of unease steadily builds as the protagonist uncovers chilling secrets about her husband. The characters are well-developed, and their motivations are complex, which adds depth to the suspense. Though the pacing slows a bit in the middle, the thrilling conclusion more than makes up for it, delivering a shocking and satisfying resolution.
Browne's writing style is engaging, and she does a fantastic job of capturing the fragile nature of trust and the darkness that can lurk behind closed doors. My Loving Husband is an exciting read for fans of psychological thrillers, and it’s perfect for those who enjoy twists that keep them on the edge of their seat.

Maddie finds out that her respected surgeon husband, Cole, may be having an affair. He denies it, but Maddie is receiving strange and threatening messages suggesting that he is involved in other nefarious things as well, and even wants to kill her. Maddie is desperate to protect her children, but she is also having difficulty reconciling the messages with what she knows about her husband. When the woman with whom he was supposedly involved turns up dead, will Cole take the blame? How far will Maddie go to preserve her family?
I mostly enjoyed this book, though I wanted Maddie to behave a little more rationally and less emotionally. Having two people dead at the end seemed a bridge too far -- I was disappointed in how the book ended, with too much left hanging.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

I figured out the "who" very early on, which took away some of the suspense for me. The main character felt a little naïve, which I found frustrating at times. Unfortunately, I didn’t really connect with her or Cole, so I wasn’t fully invested in the story. The plot was quite predictable and slow-moving, and while I did finish the book, the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying.

A psychological thriller that is a true rollercoaster ride, packed with unexpected twists and turns that kept me turning pages late into the night.
The story revolves around what appears to be the perfect family—Maddie, a devoted nurse, her husband Cole, a respected doctor, their teenage daughter, and young twins. Their idyllic life, however, unravels when Maddie begins receiving unsettling information that casts doubt on Cole’s integrity. As suspicion creeps in, Maddie starts questioning everything her husband says or does. But Cole, too, harbors secrets of his own.
What follows is a gripping, escalating cycle of deceit, tension, and shocking revelations, leading to a conclusion that is both unexpected and chilling. The author masterfully blends suspense with deep emotional layers, creating a twisted and devious narrative that keeps the reader guessing at every turn. The characters, though flawed, feel raw and real, adding depth to the unraveling mystery.
With its relentless suspense and jaw-dropping final twists, My Loving Husband is an intense and unputdownable read. Well-written and thoroughly engaging—I highly recommend it!

Cole is a surgeon and Maddie a nurse their life seems to be perfect but Cole doesn’t seem himself anymore he keeps getting angry and not coming home until later and later saying he is at the hospital, Maddie thinks he’s having an affair and starts doubting everything he says she goes to her best friend Kelsey to ask for her advice who tells her to leave him. They have three children twin boys and a girl who they both adore and she can’t believe that he would jeopardise his marriage for a fling but not everything is as it seems.
It was very exciting like all her books are I really enjoyed it.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC

First as always, thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC!
This book mainly follows Maddie and Cole, but there are also chapters in the POV of Ellie and Alex in between. Maddie thinks she is happily married to Cole, and that she has a good life. But then there are these messages. Messages saying that her husband is actually planning to kill her...
It was a good book overall, I surely did not see the twists and turns coming. The topics the story brings to light are not always easy though, which made it hard to go on sometimes. A little trigger warning would have been helpful, maybe. But that is just my opinion, of course.

First of all, I will say I did not love the way this one was written. It felt super unrealistic at points and the dialogue felt kind of awkward at times. It often took me out of the story and I found it distracting.
Also, I feel like the ending was so obvious from the beginning 😅 It’d didn’t feel so much twisty but more like the author was throwing random sentences at the end of every chapter to try and surprise you…
Now, did I enjoy some parts of it? Sure, it had an interesting plot and some entertaining moments. But it felt like the author repeated so many things that the book could have been like, 50 pages shorter. Also, there were questions that definitely got left unanswered.

If you're looking for a devious and twisted read, you MUST pick up My Loving Husband by Sheryl Browne. She once again has written an intense, head spinning drama that was unputdownable. This book has left me shaken in the best possible way, and I couldn't stop thinking about it long after I finished reading it.
The story follows the Chase family, Maddie, Cole, their teenage daughter, and their twin boys. When Maddie starts receiving text messages that her husband isn't who or what he's pretending to be, she soons starts to uncover the truth about what is really going on behind her back. As she slowly starts to uncover truths she doesn't want to face up to, everything comes to a head and the explosion it causes leaves her and her family reeling.
The writing was captivating and the characters real. There were so many twists and turns my head was spinning. The chapters were short and easy to follow and it is told through multiple perspectives. This is a must read for domestic thriller lovers. You won't be disappointed.

Intense and crazy psychological thriller! How do you trust your husband who works late and does not spend enough time with your family? Then you find out he might want to kill you! This novel had me reading to find out who was behind all the messages and what exactly did they want! Browne always delivers. That ENDING!!!

Rounded up from 3.75 stars
Much more domestic thriller than psychological thriller, but this threw a few twists in to keep things interesting.
Positives:
- The main focus being the husband having an affair (or is he?) can result in a lot of repetition, but the pace of the book meant it never felt like it was going in circles
- Reactions and thought processes of the main character felt true to life
- Covered a topic that isn’t heavily talked about in fiction (spoilers so I won’t say what) in an interesting way
Negatives:
- a few of the scenes with dialogue felt disjointed, getting carried away with internal monologue between lines of actual dialogue; when the character would respond I’d find myself going back 2-3 pages to recall what they were replying to
- while it really picked up toward the end, it was a very abrupt ending
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book

The first thing to say about this book is the author really nailed the twists and turns you love in a thriller. I really enjoyed reading this however the ending did fall flat for me, I found it a little bit abrubt to finish. Overall though a good resd, definitely recommend to those who love a good mystery novel, however do check the content warnings if you need to.
📚I was able to read an advanced copy of title thanks to NetGalley, Sheryl Browne and Bookouture📚
📚All reviews and opinions are entirely my own📚

First, I want to say that I absolutely love the cover, It immediately got my attention. I enjoyed this mystery/thriller book, it kept my attention, and had a good ending. The characters were written well and I enjoyed this authors writing. I haven’t read anything else from this author, but I will be checking out more of her books.

When maddie recieves an anonumous message saying that her husband is going to kill her she is shicked and worried.
Being a surgeon he would know how to kill someone and probably get away with it ..
This is a tense thriller and one I enjoyed.
Even though I did guess quite early on the whos and whys it was an enjoyable read.
One for the holiday pile..

I didn’t like this book as much as I had hoped I would. It was predictable and repetitive. The ending was rushed but gave the story some redeeming qualities with those shocking plot twists.
