I knew right away who the "mysterious caller" was.
I get the author's attempt to shed light on an important and often overlooked issue, but I don't think it was explored deeply enough.
Sone of the characters were a little bit annoying and repetitive especially the main character.
The ending? Way too abrupt. It's not a bad book but it's definitely not one of ny favorites. I need to read other books of this author.
Thank you to NetGalley, author Sheryl Browne for letting me receive a digital advanced reader's copy of this book, in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions on this book are my own.

I am shook! I could not put this book down! I totally finished this in a day. Just when I thought I had things figured out, I was thrown for a loop. Having the views of the husband, the wife, & the daughter just made this book even more thrilling.

Maddie and Cole seem to have an ideal life—he’s a successful surgeon, and she’s a devoted wife and mother. But beneath the surface, Maddie knows something isn’t right.
Then, one morning, Maddie receives a chilling anonymous message: Your husband is planning to kill you. At first, she tries to convince herself it’s a cruel prank. But as secrets unravel and suspicions mount, Maddie realizes she might not be as safe as she thought. However, in this family, nothing is as it seems—and the real danger might not be coming from the person she expected.
My Loving Husband is an intense psychological thriller that keeps you second-guessing everyone’s motives. Sheryl Browne masterfully builds suspense, drawing readers into Maddie’s world of doubt, fear, and hidden truths. The story is fast-paced, with short, punchy chapters that make it impossible to put down.
Maddie is a well-written protagonist—her inner turmoil feels real, making it easy to root for her even as shocking revelations come to light. The tension escalates with every twist, leading to a jaw-dropping finale that proves not everything is as it appears. If you enjoy dark, gripping domestic thrillers filled with secrets and unexpected turns, this book is definitely worth the read.

This book has a lot of potential. The story follows Maddie, who's married to her seemingly perfect husband, Cole. The pacing starts off pretty slow, but as the plot progresses, the tension and suspense really start to build. The twist at the end isn’t totally unexpected, but it definitely adds some intrigue to the story. The book dives into themes of manipulation and control, and the characters become more interesting as their secrets come to light. While the pacing could have been quicker, the emotional depth and complex relationships make it a solid read for fans of slow-burn thrillers.

This is the kind of suspenseful book I love. Even when I guess something, there's always another twist to surprise me later. I found the characters easy to like and understand - sometimes quite scarily so - and enjoyed following the story through multiple points of view (Maddie is the main character, but we also get chapters centred on her daughter, her husband, or someone else in a few occasions).
Possibly my favourite of Sheryl Browne's books so far, although it's hard to tell as she wrote several others that I greatly enjoyed reading too.

I couldn't quite get into this book unfortunately so I did end up speed reading it a bit. I found basically all the characters to be unlikeable and Maddie to be very naive. So while it was a fun and fast paced read, I did guess almost all the twists and guessed what would happen at the end, although it did feel like the book should have maybe had an epilogue.

I loved the pace of the book. I writing flowed very well and was easy to read. The plot offered unexpected twists and turns to keep my attention. I would love to read more of her books

Overall, this kept me interested enough to want to know what happened at the end, but honestly I was a little disappointed in the ending 🥲 I was really hoping it would be someone less obvious. Most of the book just revolves around Maddie and Cole’s marriage drama and the people trying to ruin them, so I feel like it’s really a domestic suspense type of read. I was interested enough that I would read more of Sheryl’s books.

this story is a very addictive read intense addictive and very twisty an amazing read .Maddie has it all the perfect husband and two children her husband Cole is a surgeon so always busy. but what happens when your life as you think it is going to change first the text messages and then the cold calls who can you trust and who can you believe and have to fight for everything. I so recommend

I want to start off by saying how thankful I am to have received this arc. I think that Sheryl Browne has made a heck of a thriller, seriously…..so good! I felt compelled to keep reading until I had all the answers .

This book kept me reading through the night. It was a wild ride from beginning to end. I will be recommending this book to all of my fellow readers. Sheryl Browne is now a new favorite of mine!! Excellent!!!

This had me gripped from the beginning! The book was written so well and the story was great. I loved all the characters and I liked that you see from all points of view. As with all physiological thrillers the middle gives a little and then bam the ending gets you in a twist!!! Highly recommend reading to anyone

An excellent read for any and all readers! Author comes at you with both barrels and knocks you out of your shoes! Great job fleshing out all the characters. I give this book FIVE stars! Definitely recommend!

Very, very slow burn domestic thriller. I was totally engrossed at the beginning but the story of Maddie and Cole slowly lost its steam. Had it been shorter I would have enjoyed it a lot more. But the characters were complex and interesting and I definitely wanted to know how it ended.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Oh my goodness what a brilliant book this is from the very beginning. Extremely well written with a great storyline which kept me involved all the way with all the well described characters
I have read many books from this author and never been disappointed but in my opinion this has to be her best yet and what an ending it was.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for this fantastic ARC
which is now one of my best top ten reads for 2025.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book.

I loved this one, very gripping. Reminded me of the good girl.
just WOW!
Thanks Netgalley for the ARC.

My Loving Husband by Sheryl Browne is one of those thrillers that immediately pulls you in, setting up an unsettling atmosphere right from the first chapter. The tension is thick, and the ominous little hints scattered throughout make it clear that something isn’t right, even before the mysterious message appears.
The pacing is a slow burn, steadily unraveling the layers of Cole and his wife’s seemingly perfect life. There’s plenty of intrigue, deception, and the kind of domestic unease that keeps you turning pages. That said, while the twists are engaging, some of them might not be as shocking if you’ve read a lot of thrillers.
It’s a well-written, emotionally heavy read, but I found myself wishing for a bit of levity—something to break up the relentless tension. If you like domestic thrillers packed with secrets, psychological manipulation, and a creeping sense of danger, this one will definitely keep you hooked.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc. What would you do if you got a message on your phone saying, “Your husband is trying to kill you” ? That’s what happened to Maddie. She follows the clues, but lots of new information and mystery pop up. Who really is the most dangerous one in their family?
I love the multiple POVs, and the degree of suspense and twists and turns.

*3.5 stars*
Maddie’s husband, Cole, is a famous and highly respected surgeon, however he slept at work last night, and more and more his work life balance leans heavily in favour of the work side. Maddie works as a nurse so she understands the demands of working in the NHS, however, Cole really doesn’t seem himself these days, often distracted, sometimes angry.
Between them they have a teenage daughter Ellie and twins Lucas and Jayden, and there in lies the real problem for Maddie, because the kids are no longer getting any quality time with their father.
So Maddie already has concerns, and when her phone buzzes with an unknown number, the message shocks her to the core - Your husband is planning to kill you…
And so begins a nightmare for the whole family because that text is just the beginning!
You won’t know who to trust in this psychological thriller, and it certainly pulled me in - some of the twists I never saw coming, so I definitely enjoyed it, my only gripe is that I did find the ending a little abrupt.

This book is a whirl wind of suspense, suspicion and deceit. We follow the marital decline of of Maddie and Cole. Right out of the gate, the reader is feeling empathy for Maddie and soon for Ellie as well, rooting for their voices to be heard.
It doesn't take long for the reader to question every thing they think they know. This book does need a trigger warning of sexu@l abuse for those who may be sensitive to those topics.
The book snags the reader from the beginning, drawing them deep into these lives, twisting the narratives so when you think you have the story pegged, the rug is pulled. I do feel, even though the ending was wrapped up and not left open, it felt rushed. A lot took place in the last 2 chapters that had a back and forth narrative that left me asking myself - wait, what?
I can't give half stars or I would have given it 3.5. It was enjoyable for the genre but it was a familiar story that feels like it's been done before. That being said, it was still a good read and would recommend it.
