This was a cute easy read that did a great job of pulling me in and wanting more. Definitely excited there is more to this series. This book was both funny and spicy and Carissa and Colby were an enjoyable couple to follow along with.

Loved Colby and Carissa’s story. It’s hysterical that their first meeting was a fight over the last box of Lucky Charms.

Colby’s story is heartbreaking. Carissa is doing her best to climb out of a hole that her parents put her in. Together they have an incredible banter and spark.

The team of guys is definitely a highlight in this book. I enjoyed the unique quirks of each character. I thoroughly look forward to each of their books.

I love me a good hockey romance, and i really enjoyed both the main mmc - colby and the fmc - carissa.

I loved the story it gave, and the romance between them both, it was a nice fluffy romance which i always enjoy and welcome.

The tension between them, i was like yes give me more i need to see what happens what is he gonna do.

A very cute enemies to lovers story about Carissa and Colby. Both have major trust issues and some past baggage to deal with. Their first encounter is hysterical, and sets the tone for the remainder of their relationship. Lots of laughs, some emotional moments, some nice steamy scenes, and of course some cute hockey players. Overall, a great sports romance!! Looking forward to more in this series.

Carissa and Colby’s story left me with all the nice warm fuzzy feelings, in the end. The beginning starts with them not liking each other, at all, and actively avoiding or showing some kind of disinterest. Then things take a turn for the better and life is sunshine and rainbows until major events change everything. At this point I was clutching my chest wanting everything to go back to the way it was before sh*t hit the fan, but authors hate having no drama, so that didn’t happen… for a while at least. In the end, I was happy and was looking forward to the future this couple was forming so quickly!

I love a good hockey romance / workplace romance that pulls on all the heartstrings. Even if it hurts in the moment, that’s how I know it’s going to be good! Susan did a great job with Off Your Game and I loved getting to see the change in Colby and Carissa as they got more vulnerable with each other.

This was such an enjoyable experience reading this book. The story of Colby and Carissa was funny, sexy, spicy, and I couldn’t put it down.

Colby is the captain of the Chicago Red Tails hockey team, and lately he can’t seem to get the puck in the net. They’ve lost the last four games and tonight’s loss was because he didn’t get his bowl of Lucky Charms before the game! One thing for sure, he needs to get to the grocery stat and buy some. Except once he gets there, a beautiful woman has the last box in her hands. So he tells her that his sick child wants Lucky Charms to help him feel better. Of course she doesn’t fall for the lie, and Colby offers her money for it, lots of money. She won’t give in and tells him to go to another grocery store to get some. They end up in a verbal fight and Colby leaves empty handed.

Carissa can’t believe that guy in the grocery store, what a jerk! She needs her Lucky Charms before she starts her new job for the Chicago Red Tails.
Carissa is the new marketing liaison for the hockey players. She doesn’t know a thing about hockey and hopes she can keep that secret for a while. As her boss shows her around, the last stop is an introduction to the players. They’re all very welcoming until they get to the last player, Colby, the Lucky Charms jerk! Colby continues to be a jerk to her but Carissa is convinced she’ll eventually will win him over.

The story of these two characters, is so enjoyable that I could not put this book down!

A cute sports romance that delivers all the fun and charm we love in a hockey romance. It’s full of playful banter and irresistible chemistry that makes this an enjoyable read.

I really liked Carissa as a main character, she was relatable, witty, and had the biggest heart. However, I did struggle a bit with Colby. While there were moments where I could see his appeal, the way he handled the third-act breakup felt a little off to me. His turn against Carissa seemed too quick and harsh, making it difficult for me to fully get behind him.

That said, my favorite part of the book was the undeniable chemistry between Carissa and Colby. The tension between them was electric, and their interactions were absolute perfection. You could feel the connection between them in every scene, and it was impossible not to be swept up in their love story.

Off Your Game follows Carissa, the new marketing rep for the Chicago Red Tails hockey team, and Colby, the captain of said hockey team, as they go from arguing over the last Lucky Charms box, to hating each other and finally, to falling in love.

This book wasn’t for me. I have read countless hockey romances and I’m usually a big fan, but this book rubbed me the wrong way from the start.

First of all, for a book that was self-published before, there is a serious need for more editing. There were a bunch of typos and the overall writing, dialogue and plot could have been more planned.

Second, Colby was unbearable and then the best guy in two seconds. I did not like at all the way he spoke about women and the comments he made. He constantly referred to them in very demeaning ways in which they really did not deserve. I understand his frustration over the Lucky Charms, but it was over the top and did not validate how he was acting towards Carissa who was just trying to do her job and be nice to him. I had trouble getting over how mean he was at the start because it was so unwarranted and she did not deserve it at all.

And then, all of a sudden, he’s kind and she gets over how mean he was so quickly and they kiss but he leaves her on her own with no explanation. After that, he doesn’t do any grovelling, even as he was about to go sleep with two random women, and she forgives him immediately. Another weird pacing thing was when they would sleep together right after talking about very traumatic family issues; it didn’t sit right with me.

I just felt overall that everything was too easy and didn’t really have much obstacles. It didn’t keep me engaged. The obstacles that happened were things that could have easily been avoided or did not make any sense; no marketing rep would have an unlocked phone in a charity event with many compromising pictures on it. And they were also basically having sex on the dancer floor surrounded by hundreds of people; this conflict just felt so forced.

I had trouble getting through this book, but if you want to read a very fast-paced romance book about a PR rep and a hockey captain who start off hating each other but quickly fall in love, this book is for you!

You know the ice hockey romances go hard. I really enjoyed these characters and their trajectory. The plot is a bit standard and you know exactly whats gonna happen, but sometimes you just need that. Sometimes you just need to enjoy a lovely, cheesy, hella spicy romance that you know will suit your exact needs.

This was a cute sports romance which I’m always a sucker for. But it just fell flat for me. I had a hard time connecting with the characters. Also the plot kinda just jumped around and I had a hard time following along. I did however laugh a few times. Wasn’t the best also wasn’t the worst 😉

This was my first hockey romance read. Though I do consider this a reasonable read, I felt like it lacked depth to the main characters and had a weird ending. Parts of this book were funny and cute, while other parts just felt cringey. It is a very easy to read book and I appreciate the way the author wrote it. I really wanted to learn more about the characters past, so I could get to know them better. The setting fit the story, which I liked! it was cute, spicy, romantic and humorous at times.

This book is about a female main character and a male main character. The male character is a hockey player named Colby, who plays for the Chicago Red Tails. The female character, whose name is Carissa, is a marketing representative for the same hockey team that Colby plays in. Before she became the representative, she met Colby by accident at a store and they had a debacle over some cereal. She did not know he was a hockey player and he was in disbelief that she didn’t recognize him.The characters were somewhat interesting but not enough to have me continue the series. Like the whole thing starts because the dude is so stressed out about his Lucky Charms. I get the reasoning but maybe plan better? They don't magically disappear. And there are other stores ... you're in Chicago, I'm sure there's a 24/7 store open with you cereal. You shouldn't absolutely loathe someone because she wouldn't give you her box of cereal. Like how entitled can you be?

Not to mention the kind of cheating. Like you were so pissed at her about something (I can't even remember what) that you were ready to take two girls to your room WHEN SHE WAS IN THE HOTEL. That's a dick move even when she's not there but even more so when she is. And it's not like you weren't doing anything with them in the bar. You spent an hour with them and at least kissed one on the neck ... I'm betting there was even more done. Colby is lucky Carissa even looked at him after she caught him pulling that shit. I can't even with it.
The hockey romance in this book was such a thrill! The forbidden nature of their relationship added an intense level of tension that made every moment feel high-stakes. I loved watching the characters navigate the challenges that came with their secret connection. It kept me on edge, wondering how they would make it work despite everything standing in their way.

Off Your Game by Susan Renee is an enemies to lovers, hockey romance.

Carissa is the new social media manager for the Chicago Redtails, working hard to get out of debt. Colby is the captain of the team, attempting to work through childhood trauma. There were some great moments, but overall this book was just okay for me. It just did not make sense how the characters went from hate to love WAY too fast with no real transition period. There were definitely some funny and sweet moments, but the plot was just a miss.

It was an ok read.( I see no changes since the first release.) To much swearing though in the book (the word fuck is said 324 times)- kind of kill the mood when reading it so often.
The story between them was doing ok. The only thing that I really didn't like was when Colby liked her and wants to be with her (they kiss at some point and have some touches ). And then don't see each other and don't speak for some days and he just decide he wants a threesome with some random 2 girls(one resemble Carissa).
And the end, I think he nedded to do more so she can forgive him. It was rushed.

enjoyed this book! I liked the struggles both Colby and Carissa had in their personal lives. I liked the twist with carissa and what was happening. I would of loved to see more of Colby towards the end but I really enjoyed it. I liked the writing style, I liked the plot, and I enjoyed watching them grow, I'd of loved to see more of it in this book!

In the book “Off Your Game”, you follow along with Carissa Smallson and Colby Nelson. Their first encounter is at the grocery store and Colby goes to buy Lucky Charms but Carissa got there first and won’t sell them to him no matter how much he offers. He has a ritual before his games to eat lucky charms and the last game he didn’t eat them and they lost and he also played like crap in his opinion. As fate would have it, Carissa is hired to be the social media manager for the team and her job is to make them look good. On her first day on the job who does she run into? None other than Colby and he makes it quite clear that he will not be her friend now or ever. How long will that last? You’ll have to read to find out! Their energy and chemistry is great. I rate this book 4 stars. Looking forward to adding it to my bookshelves.

this book was super cute. the only complaint i have with it is mostly regarding the ending. it felt weird and rushed. i would have also enjoyed learning more about the characters themselves rather than just focusing on the romance.
