I did find this interesting. It helped that I had read the previous book, although a reader could understand the story without having read the first one. I enjoyed the different places in the book, which seemed to be quite well researched. The idea that only one person in the world could translate or understand these ancient texts, seemed the usual slightly annoying US-centric world view, however when you put that aside, it became quite interesting. But how dumb was she, at times?! There were a variety of sticky situations that it seems to me were totally unnecessary, but there again, this is not the only book like that and hey. it makes the story.
Disappointing. Came across as self-published and in need of some strong editing. What started out as a great idea rather fizzled out.
I am really glad that I read this straight after "Judas the Apostle" as the second volume kicks off straight away from where the first finished. Non-stop action. Forget comparisons with other books of the genre, these two stand alone for "edge of your seat" drama and intrigue as we set out on a quest to discover the true meaning of the Judas Gospel.
