Great story! Kept me hooked the whole time. The narration was great and really helped the immersion in the story. Perfect for any lover of thriller stories.

"Serial Killer Support Group" by Saratoga Schaefer is a fun read for readers who enjoy lighthearted suspense or thriller novels!

Thank you for the advanced audiobook copy.
This book sounded very interesting so I thought I would give it a try. Cyra’s sister was killed and the police are not helping. She decides to join a serial killer support group so she can find her sister’s killer. The audiobook was excellent and narrator was excellent.

I thought that Serial Killer Support Group was an interesting read, in a good way. Listening to the audiobook, it was dual narrated and the male narrator, who voiced the serial killers sounded the part. It was a quick read that kept my interest and was almost like a thriller.
It is refreshing that it is so different than other books that I have read and had some twists sprinkled in.
Thank you NetGalley and Spotify Audio!

Unfortunately, I just found this book very slow and boring. I listened to 10% of it, then had to DNF. I thought it was going to be fun but it wasn't.

This was such a fun time and unlike anything I've read before! This would be perfect for book clubs and I highly recommend the audiobook as I was even more engaged because of the narrator! Will absolutely be reading all future works by this author!!

The premise of this debut novel was so interesting and unique! Our main character joins a support group for serial killers in order to find out who murdered her sister.
There were a couple of fun twists that I did not see coming. I also enjoyed our main character Cyra's personality and motivations.
I did have a bit of a problem with some aspects of the novel. I did not enjoy that we learned some things about the different serial killers before Cyra did via flashbacks. It felt like that took some of the fun of discovering things *with* Cyra away.
I also felt like a few things just happened because the plot needed them to, not because those actions had been naturally set up for the characters to do.
Overall, I give this one a 3/5. I am not mad that I read it, and I think that the setup and twists alone make this a fun read! The cover, title, and description are also all very likely to attract readers.
Thank you to Spotify Audiobooks, and NetGalley for loaning me this free audiobook in exchange for a fair review!

This was a quick read and it tried to keep the twists and turns going until the end. However, I didn't really enjoy it. The characters were not likable and the way the backstories were included didn't really feel like they fit. It just wasn't really for me.

Cyra's sister was murdered and she is hell bent on finding the person responsible. She gets word that there is a potential that whoever had done this might be a serial killer due to a certain signature. With some insider information, she finds out about a top secret serial killer support group that she infiltrates, convinced that one of the attendees is the culprit. Set on vengeance, Cyra is ready to do whatever it takes to find out what happened to Mira and get her own revenge.
This was a fun little listen! I thought Cyra was well rounded and semi relatable character, until you get deeper into the story, iykyk, and the people she meets along the way added a lot to the story. This was definitely a unique plot, but I do wish the execution would have been a bit better. I found some parts to be a bit boring, and oh my gosh I was craving a romance with Mira so bad in the group and thought that would have made the story a bit more entertaining. Otherwise, I enjoyed my time with this read overall, and would definitely recommend it to my thriller/mystery friends for a good "whodunit" type mystery with a female revenge aspect.
The audiobook was a good listen overall! I liked narrators, Abby Craden and Timothy Andres Pabon, but there were some volume discrepancies when doing the other characters voices with the side characters being a bit louder and I'd have to quick turn my volume down, but not a big deal at all!

It's an overall good and entertaining thriller. The premise is fairly original, and I liked the execution.
I had to consciously suspend my disbelief to get in the story, but once I did, it was quite enjoyable.
There is a lot of angst and guilt but I found the characters well constructed and their dynamics interesting.
The story has plenty of suspense and twists and turns, and it's a short read, so worth the time if you are into the genre.
I listened to the audiobook version and the narrators were really good.
To me it's a 3,5 overall.

Serial Killer Support Group delivers a gripping plot with stellar narration. The protagonist’s shift between herself and Mistletoe is fascinating, evolving in unexpected ways. The ending? Absolutely perfect

This book had a killer premise (pun intended). With a bit of a Dexter vibe, it follows a group of, well… less-than-law-abiding individuals trying to keep their darker urges in check. One of my favorite touches was the author’s use of parasitic nicknames for each member—it added a creepy, clever twist that fit right in.
I wish we got a little more dirt on their pasts. The author gives us a peek into their origin stories, but I wanted more.
For me the narrator was a bit over the top in voices, as I listened to the audiobook. Overall, it was an okay read with some fun (if you can call serial killers "fun") elements, but a little more character depth would have made it better.

I absolutely loved this book and think it's going to stick with me for a long time. I loved how risky our MC is and she freaked me out in the best way. I was definitely pulled out of my comfort zone by the choices she made, but I couldn't look away. The plot was wild and even though I did guess "who did it" I was completely shocked by all the other events. I also found it so interesting to get the chapters from the serial killers in the group. Definitely intriguing and will have me looking over my shoulder for years to come.

About the book:
When Cyra Griffin’s younger sister is murdered by a serial killer, Cyra knows better than to expect justice from the hands of the police department. With the investigation already dying its own slow death, Cyra follows the blood trail and finds her own way forward.
Using insider information (don’t ask) Cyra infiltrates a support group for serial killers by pretending to be one herself in the hopes of finding the person who ended her sister’s life. Proving herself to them comes at a cost, but it’s one Cyra is willing to pay in the name of revenge.
Unfortunately, the dangerous men in the group aren’t the only obstacle in Cyra’s path for vengeance, and the further Cyra descends into the deadly world of serial killers, the harder it becomes to hold on to her own humanity.

What I Liked:
1. Each killers story about themselves
What I Didn't Like:
1. Serial Killers are boring and bicker too much
2. Cyra not like other girls
3. Boring
4. Predictable
5. The ending
Final Thoughts:
I rolled my eyes so much reading this book. So stupid. I didn't know serial killers could be so boring. I just can't imagine serial killers getting together to NOT brag about their murders. They join the group and it's banned. Yeah, because serial killers listen.
So much happens in this book that makes little sense. Like a serial killer helping Cyra find the man that killed her sister.
I hated Cyra painted herself as this person out to save innocent people when she's out there killing people too.
I hated how it's beat over our heads that she's taken classes to fight when it's so obvious that it'll come up later and she'll need to fight someone. Of course she wins against this much bigger and stronger man.
The way everyone just throws names around is so comical. Jason gives up his name in like 2 seconds.
It's all so convenient that the group that's on the black web is right in the same area where all these killers live. Plus to get in was so unbelievably easy. It didn't make sense why the police (other than the one) didn't try to get into it more.
I did enjoy how the killers broke down their killing tendencies one by one.
This book did that thing that drives me insane in books;
Our character remembers something one way or forgets to mention it - acting dumb but when we get to the ending it's a reveled that they actually knew everything. It doesn't make any sense to withhold information from the main character in their own brain and no one does that in real life. She did it with PJ. She acted like she was remorseful and an accident when she hit him but at the end we find out that she did it on purpose and actually finished him off with a rock. It makes no sense to spin the inner narrative.

I loved this suspense novel about a woman who infiltrates a serial killer support group in order to find out who murdered her sister. The character development was excellent and the story kept me engaged and rooting for Sairah, the protagonist.

Entertaining and engaging - just go in with a healthy suspension of disbelief. This isn't meant to be realistic! Recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

Full of dark intrigue, this audiobook had me on edge from the start. With great narration, I recommend!
After the murder of Cyra’s sister, the most important person in her life, she finds herself in a world of monsters and killers. Infiltrating a group of serial killers seems like the next approach for Cyra. She is steadfast in her determination to find her sister’s killer… but getting caught up with these killers is bad for more than just her safety. Her morality and mental stability are also at stake the deeper she becomes involved.
This was mysterious and gritty. Cyra herself isn’t the most likable character, but it works really well. There are some twists, lots of suspense, and plenty of witty writing.

This book was fun and unique. 😊 loved the idea and the storyline. The main character was a badass and the narration was great too.

This was a dark story that blended satire with psychological suspense.
The story centres around a group of killers who meet regularly at 'support group' to navigate their unconventional struggles and suppress their violent urges. The story follows Cyra who's sister was murdered a few weeks prior to her infiltrating the group as she seeks out her sisters killer. With an ensemble of quirky, morally ambiguous characters and plenty of unexpected twists, it’s a gripping and quick read for lovers of unconventional thrillers.
I listened to the audio of this story which brought the novel to life, especially in the short alternative POV chapters.
Many thanks to spotify and tlcbooktours for an ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Good choice of a voice actor. They kept it moving and nothing felt over the top. I enjoyed the book and will be recommending. Thank you to the publisher for making the audiobook available.
