A beautifully illustrated book of animals of the National Parks. I really liked that they tell you which park that you might be able to see that animal at.

This book features an animal that can be found in National Parks for every letter of the alphabet. Each letter is displayed on the page, in both capital and lowercase, followed by the name of the animal, a fact about the animal, and which National Park(s) the animal can be found in. The art is colorful and gorgeously depicts each animal in natural environments.

This is a great celebration of the beauty of nature and an introduction to the wildlife that resides within our National Parks. Libraries and classrooms serving elementary school students will benefit from the inclusion of this book. This also is a great gift idea for families with young ones who frequently travel/ camp and love nature.

I love a beautiful ABC book and this one had lovely illustrations featuring the animals and diversity of United States' National Parks. As I was reading I thought about the special challenge it must have been to select one featured fact about each animal. As a book for the youngest readers I thought the illustrations were well done and the language was careful, and as an adult I appreciated the culminating map.
