This book was Gory, chilling and spooky. I never could have guessed which way the story was heading!
Some of the dialog is a bit cheesy, but otherwise very descriptive. "He pushed the Spinning blade centimeters from her cheek." "It's excellent for cutting off noses, and you should be pleased to know that it's solar powered. I'm very concerned about the environment."
The main character. Mason, seemed like quite the bada**. She was very smart.
I also, very much enjoyed the different perspectives of the kills!
Thank you to Netgalley and to the author for giving me the opportunity to read "The Mirror Man".

This book was a little gory, but a good amount of creepy. I didn't like the dialogue of the character it just didn't sound quite right. It was a short fast read and the plot was great so I was able to stay engaged.

1.5 stars for the interesting kills, otherwise I had a really hard time with this book. The dialogue was SO cheesy. Who talks like that? Also, it felt like it was trying to be progressive but was almost offensive...SO many stereotypes. I also just didn't buy any of the characters. They felt very one dimensional and the main character sure wasn't acting as if all of her friends had been killed and she had almost been killed TWICE.

This book was chilling. Not a lot of things really spook me, but this one did, and I'm still jumpy, even hours after finishing it. So spooky!

I had such a hard time putting this story down! It’s a brutal, graphic, insane slasher story with a great lineup of diverse characters.
“He pushed the spinning blade centimeters from her cheek. “It’s excellent for cutting off noses. And you’ll be pleased to know it’s solar powered. I’m very concerned about the environment.””
Mason was an awesome FMC, she seemed like she had a pretty solid head on her shoulders and didn’t want to lose it to the killer. I really liked the multiple perspectives throughout that gave insight into the murders and investigation.
I couldn’t be sure which direction the tale was heading and there were definitely a few red herrings that got me for sure!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and BooksGoSocial for a copy.

This had all the ingredients for an amazing story, the slasher villain, a killing spree, a masked murderer, but I just couldn’t deal with the dialogue. It was so cringey and unrealistic. People don’t talk like the way these characters did, and honestly it was hard not to roll my eyes and keep going. I liked the surprise toward the end where the murderer was actually someone Mason thought was dead (always a good plot twist), but other than that this book felt very young and I wasn’t a fan. It tried to be like Scream, but I just found it too juvenile to indulge in. I can definitely see people liking this book because of how much it resembles slasher films, but I just wasn’t a fan at all.

I think I am learning I heavily prefer horror when it is under 200 pages and shorter, as I am a very impatient reader. This story starts off intense, and then begins to slow a bit, and I was wanting it to stay in the intensity zone. Because of that, I am putting this one down for now. I am not getting sweaty palms from this and it is a bit long for my taste.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide honest feedback voluntarily. I received a free eARC of this book.

Great read for teenager/young adult. The connection between Dr Titus and the main plot was in my opinion unnecessary. I’d forgotten all about him and got a little confused when he reappeared in the epilogue! I did enjoy it though.

Definitely gives a Hostel meets Saw meets Scream. I enjoyed reading this, however it was predictable. The plot twist did make me second guessing myself but overall and motive was weak. I could definitely see this turned into a tv series and I would tune in every Friday. I like how the author connected the beginning to the end. Overall, I would recommend!

I saw one part of the twist coming but not the other, so I really liked this book. It was like a slasher movie, really intense and a quick read. I'm going to read more books by Wil Forbis for sure.

A spine chillingly fantastic read!
I read this gem in one sitting as it was impossible to put down and I HAD to find out WHO the Mirror Man is!
Thrilling, creepy and tense this story has it all, keeping you guessing until the shocking revelation of an ending.
Highly recommended for fans of movies such as ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and ‘Scream’ but for avid readers like me.
Well written and slightly gory, this book will have you up all night.
