I'm sitting here and contemplating my existence... wondering why I, a lowly gal, have not been inadvertently trapped inside an enchanted mansion and forced to participate in deadly games. So i guess instead I'll thoroughly enjoy reading about those exact circumstances.

I DEVOURED this book. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when going into this after Phantasma and can I just say that it did not disappoint. It was so different to the trials of Phantasma while still providing the same similar feelings that the first book elicited.

The world and atmosphere Kaylie has created for this series is next level brilliant and immersive, I actually can't get enough of it. An exquisite gothic mansion on a vast estate in Tuscany? I'd be going deadly competition or not!

Genevieve is a force to be reckoned with. Her confident, sassy, and determined demeanor was everything I didn't know I needed.... as was Rowin, I don't even have the words to explain how much I devoured Rowin as a character. The attitude and snark hooked me and the introduction of his shadows dragged me to the pits of hell... if that's what it means to be bad, then I don't want to be good. The dynamic between these characters is absolute perfection, and had me kicking my feet the whole time.

I'm already sat, impatiently waiting for the next installment of this series and for whatever it brings. I'm here for the ride.

Enchantra, the second installment in the Wicked Games series, is a captivating fantasy romance penned by Kaylie Smith and narrated by Laura Horowitz.

I believe this book is equally impressive as its predecessor. I particularly enjoy the concept of the most cunning, strong, or perhaps clever character who manages to outsmart the rules. The spicy romance between the main characters is well-crafted, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. I am eagerly anticipating the release of the third book.

Laura Horowitz’s narration is exceptional, adding a unique and special touch to the story. I highly recommend this book and give it a solid 4-star rating.

Thank you to Bookouture Audio via NetGalley for providing me with this opportunity to read and review Enchantra.

Enchantra was such a surprise! I absolutely devoured this! Actually, I enjoyed this a lot more than Phantasma. The plot felt faster paced but also just so well balanced! The quiet moments between Genevieve and Rowin were sometimes full of tension, sometimes vulnerable and sweet. The deadly games kept everyone on their toes and me on the edge of my seat. The spice comes in in the later half of the book, but because the interactions between Genevieve and Rowin were so charged and the tension so delicious, it kept me fed until something more happened. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters in this one - the Silver siblings are complicated, and we get to know each of them without it bogging down the story. I'm invested to the point where if the author wrote stories for them, I'd be down to read! Rowin was a great MMC - the attitude, the banter, and sarcasm... THE SHADOWS. I'm sat. 😂 The ending felt a tad rushed to me but I was also just binge reading like my life depended on it. Highly suggest this one and can't wait for book 3!

I listened to the audiobook and felt like the narrator was perfect for this book! she did a wonderful job.

CW: Violence, death/murder, sexual content.

A huge thanks to Bookouture Audio, Second Sky Books and NetGalley for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

Huge thank you to Forever and Kaylie Smith for this ALC!

Last year, I devoured Phantasma in one sitting—so when I say Enchantra was one of my most anticipated fantasy romance sequels of 2025, I mean it. And guess what? It did not disappoint. 🤩

💀 What I loved the most:
The family dynamics were giving EVERYTHING. While Phantasma had those Caraval-esque vibes with a sister on a mission, Enchantra takes a darker turn with a whole family cursed for eternity. 👀 The sibling chaos? Chef’s kiss. Messy, emotional, hilarious, tragic—it was all there. 💜

💀 What to expect:
⚔️ Deadly games
❤️‍🔥 Forced proximity
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Sibling dynamics
✨ Underestimated FMC
👹 Demons, curses, & secrets
⛓️ Marriage of convenience

🔥 Steam level: Open-door scenes—YES, there are “mine” moments

💀 Do I need to read Phantasma first?
Not necessarily! Enchantra is set in a new country with fresh characters. You’ll get a full story here (although those last chapters do link back in a juicy way). 😏

💀 Let’s talk romance:
This one delivered. The tension? ✨Immaculate.✨ The banter? So fun. The slow burn and the heat? Balanced perfectly. I was obsessed with Rowington and the way the marriage of convenience trope was handled. Dark, broody MMC? Check. ✅ Protective energy? Double check. ✅✅

💀 Do I recommend it?
If you’re into spicy fantasy romance books with high stakes, morally gray love interests, and heroine power-ups, this one’s for YOU. 😎

💀 Perfect for fans of:
💜Kerri Maniscalco
💜Scarlett St. Clair
💜Lexi Ryan

💀 Read if you like:
❤️‍🔥 Marriage of convenience
⛓️ Cursed families
⚔️ Fantasy romance with spice
🖤 Shadow daddies & slow burns

I was so excited for this book. I absolutely loved Phantasma. But sadly it fell a little short. I was expecting it to start where Phantasma left off. It did not and I was disappointed.
But it did get better and ended just fine.

Very fast read/listen. No spice for the first 65% ish but then it gets to about 2 peppers. I love these storylines. I liked the family competition aspect way more in this book than the games in Phantasma. The FMC was so spunky and fun.

The first 50% of the book absolutely flew by and I think it would make a great movie.

The audio was good- I think the narrator fit the FMC perfectly and I found a great balance of speed and cadence at 2x

Fun twist towards the end.

Can I say this is better than the first? I actually enjoyed both books immensely. I also loved how Kaylie introduced other characters that make me excited and hopeful that they are getting their own book as well! They are right that this book seems so heavily inspired by the movie "Ready or Not." I would also say to read this series if you are a fan of the Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco. I am honored that I got to be one of the first people to listen to the audibook and can't wait to see what she writes next!

I listened to the audiobook copy of this title and I have to admit that I found it fun. Another game, different stakes, new players with just a hint of Ophelia and Salem in the background.
Vivi and Rowin definitely had chemistry. And I do like a fiesty, smart mouthed FMC. The siblings were interesting and the whole time I was thinking they needed their own books.
In all honesty, this is a good middle book in a trilogy. I’m not sure where the next book will take this story but I’m always willing to find out.
I received an ALC of this title, all opinions are my own.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for an opportunity to review this book!

I adored Phantasma so I had very high hopes for this book. Exceptionally narrated by the impeccable Laura Horowitz, you can't go wrong with this one. I did think the set up was a bit rushed, and Genevieve acted so immature and silly for a big chunk of the beginning so it nearly turned me off, however the story did pick up and Rowin quickly became a book boyfriend worth swooning over.

Overall its a decent sequel. The deadly games idea of this book series continues to entertain.

I was lucky enough to get an advanced listener copy of Enchantra and O M G!!! If you listened to Phantasma on audiobook you know just how amazing Laura Horowitz is. She is JUST as incredible in Enchantra, and if you haven’t been audiobooking this duology I highly recommend going back and reading them this was. Laura brings Kaylie’s stories to life in such a unique and talented way that always gets me in my feels!

I absolutely adored Phantasma and I’m always nervous for a sequel to come out with a series that I adored the first book in. But Kaylie absolutely slayed and left no crumbs with book 2. It was very true to the world while also bringing us to a new setting. There were too many good parts of the story to list them all, but some of my favorites were the Silver siblings, the banter, the crazy tension between Rowin and Genevieve, and the emotions that it was able to bring out in me.

Also I will ALWAYS be a Blackwell girl, but Rowin was *chefs kiss*

Omg this book was amazing! I loved the first one and was so excited to listen to the second. Genevieve's journey to finding herself was inspiring. I cried so much but was still extremely satisfied with the ending. I need more ASAP!

Like Phantasma, this was a gripping, enchanting book filled with betrayal, enemies and deadly contests. I would like to know where to apply for a Rowin because I think I prefer him to Salem.....

x Deadly Trials
x Marriage of convenience
x Touch her and die
x Forced Prox
x Enemies to Lovers

There were occasional plot holes I would have like developed more, but overall I had a great time both listening and reading this book. The narrator did a wonderful job and when reading the KU version I found the pacing easy to follow and language engaging.

dare I say I enjoyed Enchantra even more than Phantasma? I absolutely loved the story, the fake marriage, the games!! This was so fun. I loved it!

Omg omg omg! What a book. I loved the first book in this series Phantasma. It was the first fantasy book in a while that really had me hooked and book 2 was as good.

The story was fun and deadly from start to finish. Vivi is a strong female character who doesn't need anyone to save her. She doesn't take no for an answer and she believes in herself. I love her strength and confidence.

Kaylie is exceptional at world building. The Silver estate and how it changed for the games was fascinating. Kaylie's description is so vivid I felt like I not only knew the labyrinth in the garden but that I had been there myself.

Rowin and his siblings were a blast. As one of 6 siblings (all brothers) I get the big family dynamics. loved Ellin and Sevin the most. I loved how Ellin and Vivis relationship unfolded. Being the only girl is tough and I really connected with Ellin on that front.

This was everything I want from a gothic fantasy romance book and more!

I switched between the audio and the ebook version of this book and the narration on the audio was fantastic. I found myself listening more and more even though it is slower than I read because I just loved listening to the narration!

💀 paranormal romance
💜 marriage of convenience/fake relationship
💀 set on an enchanted italian estate
💜 shadow mmc x sunshine fmc
💀 forced proximity
💜 deadly game of hide and seek
💀 seven cursed siblings + family secrets

Kaylie Smith has outshined herself with her second release in the Wicked Games series. This take follows Genevieve Grimm who we met in Phantasma and her husband of convenience Rowin Silver. In this sequel we are treated to another dark gothic romntasy and even more twisted games that will have you on the edge of your seat. I really liked the marriage of convenience angle with this and found Rowin to be such a mystery. But as things unfold he isn’t quite the grump he portrays himself to be.

Although the time frame is short, I do love how Genevieve and Rowin developed feelings for one another. The forced proximity worked very well in this. Loved all of the twists and secrets uncovered in this book and Rowins family were so entertaining.

Laura did an amazing job of narrating as always!

Kaylie Smith has done it again—𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔 is a dark, seductive fantasy that blends magic, danger, and undeniable chemistry into a deadly game you won’t want to escape. When Genevieve Grimm accepts an invitation to an Italian palace, she expects luxury and allure—not to be thrust into a cursed competition where the price of losing is eternity in Hell. Her only shot at survival? Forming a reluctant alliance with the infuriating (and gorgeous) Rowin Silver. The tension between Genevieve and Rowin crackles on every page, evolving from verbal sparring to smoldering attraction as they navigate the twisted rules of Enchantra. Smith's gothic world is lush and atmospheric, full of glittering deception, ancient curses, and high-stakes romance. With vivid world-building and sharp dialogue, this enemies-to-lovers fantasy hooked me from the start and left me begging for more.

Huge thanks to Second Sky/Forever and NetGalley for the ARC! Enchantra was one of my most anticipated reads this year, and it did not disappoint. I’ll read anything Kaylie Smith writes—bring on the next one!

If you know me, you know I have zero patience for fake-strong heroines who constantly need rescuing by men or the plot gods. So imagine my joy when Enchantra handed me Genevieve Grimm—our confident, stubborn, curvy, messily delightful main character who doesn’t wait around for anyone to save her (though she might let a shadowy immortal detangle her hair if he offers).

Set on a mysterious Tuscan estate full of secret rooms, hedge mazes, masquerades, and demon-fueled reality TV, Enchantra throws Vivi into a deadly game where her only way out may be a marriage of convenience to Rowin Silver—an Azriel-coded, shadow-wraith immortal with serious “touch her and die” energy. The banter? Immaculate. The vibes? Elite. The animal familiars? Adorable. The drama? Delicious.

Kaylie Smith absolutely nailed the sequel. The worldbuilding continues to be lush and gothic without feeling overwhelming, and the characters—both old and new—shine. The Silver siblings are peak murder-found-family chaos, and I especially enjoyed the dynamic between Ellin and Sevin. I do wish we got more on Barrington Silver and Tessie Grimm, and I’d kill for more exploration of the rift between identical shadow twins, Remi and Rowin.

Compared to Phantasma, this one leaned much more romantic in tone, which I loved. The slow-burn between Vivi and Rowin simmers—secrets are shared, vulnerabilities surface, and when the dam finally breaks? It’s worth the wait. They actually communicate, which is a rare and wonderful thing in fantasy romance.

The ending had my jaw on the floor (hello, twist), and I was absolutely feral over the cameo from Ophelia and Blackwell—crumbs, yes, but I devoured every one.

This was so addicting I could not put it down. Phanstasma was a favorite of mine last year and I kept wondering where book 2 would go and how it could possibly live up to the hype and wow factor of book 1 - well I am here to tell you that it did! Enchantra was so much fun. The Hunt was an interesting premise and I loved the Silver family - they were dysfunctional and outrageous. Genevieve was such a great FMC that was stubborn, confident, had no filter and did whatever she wanted. The romance between Genevieve and Rowin was 😍🌶️ 🥵. I would say my only critique on the book was that I would have liked a bit more of the background on Barrington/Tessie story. For those of you that enjoyed Phantasma you will definitely want to check this one out too!

Note: I did a side-by-side listen to the audio with the physical book. The audio narration was terrific!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the ARC!

Wow, this was one wild and crazy ride! I really enjoyed listening to this one! It hooked me in from the very beginning and kept me hooked the entire time. I loved Rowin & how he made Genevieve feel seen and special. I couldn’t put this one down!

I absolutely loved the first book and so I was super excited to get chosen for this one. Firstly, the audio is fantastic. Laura is one of my favorites and she just portrays the characters so well.

Second, I love that this is different from Phantasma but set in the same world. Genevieve and Rowan are PERFECTION.
