Enchantra by Kaylie Smith and narrated by Laura Horowitz is the second book in the Wicked Games. A spicy fantasy romance and it was an obsession for me. This was an audiobook that I just loved and the Narrator Laura was superb, she made this audiobook even more special.
This was packed with deadly intrigue with a spicy romance, Enchantra will transport you to a world of feisty heroines and morally gray love interests, fake dating, forbidden desire and family secrets. Just Superb from start to finish. It took my breath away!
Another 5 star read/audiobook.
Big Thank you to NetGalley and especially Bookouture Audio and Second Sky/Forever for my Audiobook and ARC.

3.5/5 - I really loved Phantasma (solid 4/5) but this one didn’t hit quite the same. The whole “games” part felt super repetitive and dragged a bit in the middle. I liked the beginning and the end way more.
I still don’t really vibe with Genevieve as a main character - didn’t love her in book one and didn’t change my mind here either. BUT I’m always down for enemies to lovers, the sibling dynamics were so good, and I’ve officially decided I love the “my wife” trope now 😂
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC ❤️

I adored Phantasma when I read it last year, so I couldn’t wait to read Enchantra. It more than lived up to my expectations. I loved both Genevieve and Rowin. Their characters were incredibly well developed, and the chemistry between them was perfection. I also really enjoyed the Silver family in general. They created a great host of varied characters for Genevieve to interact with. I also really enjoyed the game that the characters partake in. It was intense but still felt fresh and original. One of the elements I love most, though, about Smith’s writing is the imagery. Smith knows how to paint a decadent scene and doesn’t skimp on the details making for a luxurious experience. I combo read the ebook and audiobook for this. However, I definitely found myself more drawn to the audiobook. Horowitz’s narration is truly special. She draws you in and keeps you rooted in the story from start to finish. Horowitz also injects so much energy and life into the characters that you can’t help but want to read more. Overall, I loved this story and can’t wait for the third installment.

The Wicked Games series continues to hold me utterly at its mercy. Enchantra blew me away. Between high stakes games that were even more diabolical than those of Phantasma and the marriage of convenience to none other than a shadow daddy, I could not have been any more bewitched. The imagery that Kaylie Smith evokes with her writing is spectacular in and of itself and I felt like I was transported right into the Silver estate with the entire family. I really enjoyed the development of Genevieve and Rowins characters as they navigated the consequences of playing the game whilst chemistry boiled between them. The way Rowan reacted when he and Genevieve drank the passion fruit juice? Holy mother of God, I was on my knees. Every bit of tension and spice after that point was out of this world and the audio even took it to the next level. I cannot recommend these books enough. I'm pretty sure I cycled through every single emotion in these pages and I am only more eagerly awaiting the next.
The audio for this series so far has been second to none. Laura Horowitz has quickly become one of my favorite narrators and I love the way that she brings the characters to life. Every action seemed to be intensified with her voice and she masterfully evoked such feeling for each of the characters. This is one of those audiobooks that I will always recommend because listening to Enchantra is truly is own experience.

This was such a fun read!!! I loved the first installment but this one?? *chef's kiss* there's something about second books in series that focus on the second sister that speaks to me.
The FMC, Genevieve, is forced to participate in some deadly (literally) games in a fancy manor while she pretends to be in love with one of the owner's sons, who are all cursed to kill each other until only one remains alive for Hell's entertainment.
I loved Genevieve so much (I also loved the curvy rep) and the bonds she forms with some members of the Silver family, specially her relationship with Rowin Silver (the MMC). I only wish it had developed through a longer time period since it felt more insta-lusty than anything else, however in the context of the story and the amount of time in which it takes place it kind of makes sense.
Bonus: there's this animal companion that i just adored!
The audiobook was incredible as well, Laura Horowitz, the narrator, did amazing job.
I can't wait for the next instalment, hopefully it features both pairings from this book and the previous one.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for providing me with both the e-arc and audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

🌶🌶.5
4 freaking stars! I did not want to put it down. I loved Genevieve. She was stubborn but also relatable. The sibling dynamic and the games kept me hooked! I hope we get some of the Silver siblings' stories!
Thank you, Second Sky, for sending me a physical ARC and netgalley and bookcouture for the ALC. Laura Horowitz did a phenomenal job of narrating! I loved this book even more than the first!!

Really loved Enchantra! Its such a great read.. I loved the first one but this one I enjoyed more The author grew as a writer and it shows. Loved the idea of hide and seek meets the hunger games with marriage of convenience and enemies to lovers. Love that this series dips it toes into dark romance. Such a fun time reading i

This was a fun read, but I don’t know that I liked it quite as much as Phantasma. It felt very similar with just a couple tropes swapped out.
That said it was still entertaining, I especially loved the family aspect of the game. And I was screaming over Rowin more than once- what he does with his shadows… OMG.
Thank you to NetGalley & Second Sky Books for the ALC.

Enchantra was everything I didn’t know I needed it to be!
In complete honesty, I was going to read this but I wasn’t *dying* for it. I didn’t love Genevieve in Phantasma, so I just wasn’t super hopeful. I LOVE when I’m wrong about a book. I ended up liking it more than Phantasma! The audiobook is fantastic, Laura Horowitz does an outstanding.

“We could be enemies or husband or wife of just fucking but never nothing rowington silver”his smile was brilliant.”Before you i was going to spend my eternity alone in the darkest spots of hell. I’d much rather spend an single lifetime in your light or at least for however long you’ll have me. I would of stood in this spot until I could no longer distinguish my soul from the shadows, until your light came back to me”.
Book Review
Enchantra: Kaylie Smith
🌕 🌕 🌕 🌕 🌕
🌶️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Kaylie Smiths’ Enchantra put a literal spell on me. This book was a literary masterpiece . If you enjoyed the first book demons, magic, and a gothic steamy love story your going to love Enchantra.
We follow Genevieve our curvy, spunky, sweet FMC as she recieves a letter in Italy while on vacation with Ophelia as an invitation that is meant for her deceased mother for a mansion in the country side. Vivi is looking for people like her. She doesn’t know that upon showing up she will encounter our MMC Rowington Silver brooding, tall, dark and handsome and the man literally shuts the door on her face. She learns that him and his 7 siblings have to play a dark magical hide and seek series of games where the winner doesn’t have to go to hell until the next game the following year a literal fight to the death and the favorite wins a trove from the devil Knox.
The banter, spice, forced marriage and fake relationship is amazing oh it’s all being watched from demons from hell through mirrors.
My favorite part of the story was the undeniable chemistry, baroque style, and with trials that were not handed to Vivi on a silver platter!
I also want to thank Kaylie Smith for giving me a complimentary ALC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review🥹
😇 “I need to feel you worship me.”
He smirked
😈 “I’m a creature of hell. Worshiping is not usually in my nature.”
“But for whatever time you remain in my bed, I will make it your shrine.”

A fun, quick paced romp through a enchanted house with twisty games and morally grey characters. This one lost points for me as I really don’t like the amnesia trope. Overall 3.5 stars.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
All I can say is…Blackwell who??? Rowin Silver is where the heat’s at!
If you loved Phantasma’s fast-paced, high-stakes plot and morally grey love interest, you will NOT be disappointed with Enchantra.
Enchantra follows Ophelia’s sister, Genevieve as she searches for answers about their mother. She gains an invitation from her mother’s mysterious friend to their manor, where she meets an unbelievably rude and equally hot guy, to later discover his whole family, and now Genevieve as a result of her stubbornness, are trapped in a twisted game where there can only be one winner…unless…
Fake dating galore!
I was FED. I finished the vast majority of this in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down!
If you loved Phantasma, you might just love Enchantra even more!

*Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the early audiobook copy*
Even if the competition trial is different from book 1 (Enchantra vs Phantasma) we have the atmosphere set, the magic system, the supernatural beings.
I already loved Vivi in the previous book, here we see her wonderful personality (fiesty and stubborn, she's an Aries for real!) as well as her emotional wounds.
The Silver family dynamic is delightful, I love them all, and their cute familiars.
The audiobook is perfection, Laura Horowitz does such a great job and makes the masculine charactere even more swooning.

I really enjoyed the first book, Phantasma, and was so excited to get my hands on the sequel. Enchantra delivered some fun twists and turns, especially with the marriage of convenience trope between the two main characters. However, the pacing felt a bit slow at times, and I found myself losing momentum in a few spots.
Overall, I liked Enchantra, but Phantasma still holds the top spot for me in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the free audiobook copy of Enchantra in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this one, dare I say, more than the first. I am an audio book person to my core so that may have been the reason but overall I was thoroughly enthralled. The storyline kept me enthralled and I may have been a BIG fan of our MMC. The side characters were some of my favorite while reading as well. Overall, loved it!!! The only part I was weary of and what brought it down to 4 stars in my eyes was how similar the game was to book 1. Other than that I loved everything else!! Especially the plot twist ending.

Even better than the first one! I love how strong of a female male character Genevieve is, she gives all the men a run for their money. Especially with her sassiness 🤭. This was fast paced and exciting all the way through! Marriage of convenience, he nicknames her Trouble 😍, more of the survival games we love. All the side characters are fantastic as well. Also Laura Horowitz did it again with an absolutely amazing audiobook, her voice makes you feel completely immersed in the book! 😍
Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for the advance listening copy! This was such a treat to listen to!
Out this coming Tuesday! April 8th!

Enchantra had me hooked from the very beginning. I loved Phantasma but Enchantra was so much better. I was so excited to read book 2 in the wicked games series. The narrator was fantastic in this audiobook. The chemistry and the slow burn of the two main characters was everything. The spicy scenes were fantastic. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I need to know what happens next!
Thank you NetGalley for an audiobook arc

Oh, how I love these books. I'm torn on how to rate this between 4 and 5 stars. Compared to book one, Phantasma, this had wonderful characters that I truly loved being together. Their banter had me kicking my feet constantly, I enjoyed their interactions not only with each other but the side characters throughout this book. But also compared to book one, this one did not come close to atmosphere. Phantasma had the more delectable worldbuilding between New Orleans to the House of Leaves Haunted Mansion with trials that had me captivated. Enchantra had fun games but didn't grab me as much, the characters really shined in this one. BUT THE ENDING!?!?!? No spoilers but OMG. I cannot wait for my besties to read this so we can chat about it and fangirl over EVERYONE.
Phantasma: 5 stars
Enchantra: 4.5 stars

The audiobook fur enchantra was absolutely fantastic! I cannot believe how well done this audiobook is! The narrator is impeccable and perfection.

Okay I LOVED this one! This series is SO GOOD! Again, this book is giving spooky gothic Caraval vibes. Instead of Ophelia, we get to follow her sister Genevieve who gets herself into quite the predicament leading to a marriage of convenience and another set of trials/games run by a demon. These games were more a fight to the death amongst siblings however they’re immortal so they don’t actually die - except for Genevieve. I had a lot of fun with this one - the sibling dynamic was entertaining, the stakes were high, and the fox familiar stole my heart. Could Genevieve and Rowin fallen in love a little more slowly? Sure, but I did still find their relationship enjoyable!
