Soo good! Dare I say better than the first book. I was not a fan of Genevieve in Phantasma, but now I love her! This book had it all! I never knew what was coming next. Kept me on my toes! I could not stop pistening

“Our vows may have said ‘eternally,’ but as I told you then, nothing is ever truly eternal. Except my longing for you.” ❤️‍🔥✨

This book devoured me. 🖤🔥 Following Genevieve (Ophelia’s sister from Phantasma), Enchantra took everything I loved about the first book and made it even better. The hunt in this book? Way more intense than the trials in Phantasma. The stakes are high—like love high. ❤️‍🔥 And the fact that the people of Hell are watching everything unfold through those eerie looking-glass mirrors? Obsessed. 👀

The Labyrinth vibes? Love, love, LOVE. 🌀✨ The environment is constantly shifting, keeping you on edge the whole time. It also gives Hunger Games energy with its brutal survival aspect and Ready or Not (deadly hide and seek) intensity. 7 deadly games—and everything is on the line. 😵‍💫🔥

Genevieve started off insufferable to me, but I grew to love her. She’s stubborn, strong, and her arc?? Chef’s kiss. ✨ Also, hello, curvy heroine representation—we love to see it! 🙌🏾💖 And Rowin? That guy. 🔥 A shadow-wielding MMC who’s 1 of 7 cursed siblings? Sign me up. Their fake relationship turned very real, and the tension was TENSIONING. 😮‍💨🔥 Touch her and die? Oh, he took that literally. 👀

Also—sibling drama, found family, two outcasts finding each other—ugh, my heart. 💔 I desperately need a prequel on Barrington Silver and Tessie Grimm—their story has to be insane. 👀❤️

I need more of this world ASAP, I’m soooo sat for book 3!!🖤🔥✨

I love this author and this series, it is so much fun!! Second installment in the wicked games series focused on Genevieve, and I loved her characterization and growth throughout the novel. Marriage of convenience is my favorite troupe, so I allllllwaysss eat it up. I loved the new cast of characters in the novel, and loved all of the fun sibling dynamics this had to offer. Overall, just had a really good time! I think I may have enjoyed more if I read versus listening, but felt that the audio narration was easy to listen to and engaging. Can’t wait for the next one!!!!

Thank you to Bookoture and NetGalley for an advanced listener copy in exchange for an honest review

I was absolutely BLOWN out of the water by this book and by the narration. This is probably one of my top listens of the year. NOt only was it well written but there were places I think that my heart STOPPED BEATING because of the tension. The peril, the decisions, the passion--Kaylie Smith sure knows what she's doing with these books!

*Enchantra* is the kind of book that pulls you in from the very first page and doesn’t let go. This book takes the intrigue and tension to new heights while still delivering on the unforgettable chemistry between its main characters.

Genevieve Grimm is a force to be reckoned with. After her sister becomes the head of the family, Genevieve feels like she’s adrift, so when a mysterious invitation to Italy comes her way, she jumps at the chance. But what she expects—a glamorous escape filled with passion and luxury—is quickly turned upside down when Rowin Silver, the fiercely handsome and brooding son of the palace’s owner, slams the door in her face. Rowin, though infuriatingly rude, is undeniably captivating, and their push-and-pull dynamic had me hooked. The tension between them is electric—she’s not about to let some arrogant man (gross) tell her what to do, and that defiance makes her such an enjoyable heroine.

The concept of the book is what really sets it apart. The Silver family is trapped in an insidious game of “hide and seek,” where only one person can win, and the rest face eternal punishment. Genevieve must decide whether to join the game or risk being trapped forever, but her best chance of survival is Rowin—who, despite his secrets and dark past, reluctantly becomes her partner in a fake marriage that serves as a cover for their alliance. The labyrinth they must navigate is both literal and metaphorical, as they face twisted challenges, mysterious family dynamics, and their undeniable attraction to each other.

This book was so fun and I loved how seamlessly it combines danger, romance, and mystery. The plot is fast-paced and filled with twists, but it’s the growing relationship between Genevieve and Rowin that really steals the show. I loved watching them go from enemies to reluctant allies, and their banter and tension were some of the best parts of the book. Rowin, the quintessential broody MMC, is so much more than just a handsome face—there’s depth to him that gradually reveals itself, and it kept me invested in his character until the very end. As for Genevieve? She’s an absolute powerhouse. She's fierce, independent, and unapologetically herself, which made her such a refreshing protagonist.

Enchantra is just as fun as Phantasma but better because the found family trope will always be top tier.
I was hooked on this storyline once the marriage of convenience took place. This was so much fun, and I am eagerly awaiting book 3. Which brother will it be about, though? I wouldn't mind either tbh.

Laura Horowitz is a phenomenal narrator and had me so entertained and engaged.

🔥 5 Stars – Utterly Addictive! 🔥

I don’t want to give any spoilers so I will leave you with this… Book 2 cranks up the tension with a deliciously dark hate-to-love romance, razor-sharp banter, and a found family dynamic that hits right in the feels. The stakes are higher, the chemistry is off the charts, and the narrator? Absolute perfection. If you love enemies who can’t stop sparring (or staring), moments that gut-punch you with emotion, and a story that refuses to let you go—this is the book to devour.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the chance to listen to the audiobook of Enchantra by Kaylie Smith.

I was eager to read the sequel to Phantasma and Wow! What a fun read this was! Genevieve and Rowin are an explosive match! We have the opportunity to learn a bit more about their world as well as both of their families. The wicked games they’re playing was fun to experience.

The narrator, Laura Horowitz, did a great job voicing the different parts. She changed her voice to match the characters and emotions.

Overall, I recommend reading for a fun time!

Where do I start with this review? I suppose it will have to be with an apology. An apology to Ophelia and Salem ... Vivi and Rowan have knocked you off the pedestal and claimed it for themselves. I adored this warring couple.

From the minute they met each other, I was hooked on them just as much as they were on each other. The adult games of hide and seek, where someone must die, were just a side plot to me. I was invested in them. Their cute games of two truths and one lie just melted me. Especially with some of the truths and lies! Then the ending, the twists, I was gasping it couldn't be. The meeting and then the ring, and I was cheering. Cryptic, I know.

Rowan and Genevieve make the ultimate sacrifices for each other, and I had no idea it was going to play out the way it did!!

Gosh, despite being 443 pages long, I felt like I had only read 20. I couldn't believe it was over when it was, I was so absorbed in the book that it made time fly. I mixed read this, part audiobook and then read a tiny bit. But it was worth it. I loved this more than the first (Sorry again, Ophelia,) it was the perfect follow-up. I am itching to get the 3rd book!!

So much to unpack without realising there was at the end of the book. It's going to be fun 3rd one!

I want more and more and more!! One of my top books of the year so far!!!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook... The narrator was again on point throughout the book and really portrayed the characters perfectly!!

I want to preface that this book is even better than Phantasma was!!! The whole storyline had me on the edge of my seat whilst simultaneously kicking my feet and melting!!

The mouth on Rowington Silver 🫠🫠🫠🫠 I think I have a new favourite Shadow Devil book boyfriend!!!

I love how the storyline threw them both together and we watched them grow together throughout the deadly games... The spicy scenes are to die for... I melted into my seat a few times...

Absolutely fantastic and probably the best book of the year so far!!

I absolutely LOVED Phantasma when I read it last year. I’ve been obsessed ever since… seriously, I’ve been telling everyone and their pet to read it. So, I literally SCREAMED when my ALC request got approved. Big thank you to @netgalley and @secondskybooks (shoutout to Noelle 🥹) for giving me one of my most anticipated reads of 2025: Enchantra by @kaylesmoon.

Yup, so it’s official… Rowan Silver has claimed the title of my new book husband. He is actual PERFECTION, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet him. Another sexy shadow daddy with major “touch her and die” energy. He’s got a wickedly delicious mouth and knows exactly what to say. His dynamic with Genevieve is chaotic in the best possible way. Just like Phantasma, the tension is intense, and there’s a lovely slow-burn happening.

The games of hide and seek (they call it ‘The Hunt’ in this one) had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The stakes felt incredibly high, especially when Rowan’s family was involved. The narrator delivered every voice and accent brilliantly… I was a bit skeptical at first, but they did an amazing job. Kudos to them!

Kaylie’s writing remains flawless. I expected plot twists (just like in Phantasma), but I was genuinely caught off guard by what happened. The last few chapters literally BROKE ME but also fixed me. Let’s just say I was very happy with how it concluded.

I feel like the spice level got upped in Enchantra. My mouth was literally OPEN at times, absolutely gobsmacked by how spicy AND FUN the scenes were! My dark fantasy girlies who love spice are going to LOVE THIS BOOK!

I will definitely be reading the book once it’s released because I’m sure I missed a few important details. Since I have hearing loss, audiobooks can be a bit tough for me so I can’t wait to experience it again in!

Thank you Bookouture Audio, and Netgalley for sending me the Audiobook for Enchantra for an honest review.

Laura Horowitz once again killed it as the narrator. It's always so mindblowing how she can muster up all these different voices and sound so good every time. Especially playing male parts. HOW 🤯 She can do no wrong! Great pacing. Clear and easy to understand/follow.

In regards to the story, it unfortunately did not hit like the first, but that's not to say that I didn't enjoy the book. It still kept me entertained, giggling, and kicking my feet. Especially with our new Shadow daddy. I also loved finally getting to know Genevieve in this installment. She's such a strong, sassy, relatable character. I loved how she gave everyone hell and took no one's crap. The banter and spice was top tier. The only thing I found lacking were the trials in this book. The trials in Phantasma had me on the edge of the seat at all times, but with Enchantra, it had me a bit bored. Too much sitting around. I almost didn't care for it and found myself skimming thru parts, wanting for something exciting to happen.

Thank you to Bookoture for the alc, all opinions are my own.

For a cut throat murder game in a gothic mansion, this wasn’t all that interesting to me unfortunately. The games were not high stakes, with the brothers forced to compete each year, and the names really just made the whole thing less interesting.

The marriage of convenience turned instant love was very sudden, with just clashing of spicy scenes.

Without a doubt, Phantasma is the standout of the series so far. However, Enchantra holds its own, maintaining a steady pace throughout, with a few moments that kept it from being a perfect 5-star read. But that ending?! It sets the stage for the next *hopefully* book(s) in the series in such an exciting way! 👏🏻

What I absolutely loved? The Silver siblings. Sure, they were crass, ruthless, and all trying to kill Genevieve, but who doesn’t love a high-stakes manhunt with a marriage of convenience, AND a dash of devilish intrigue? I couldn’t get enough of it! 🙋🏻‍♀️

What let me down? The manhunt itself. While the stakes were high, it felt underwhelming at times. There was just too much downtime during the hunts, which made the action feel a bit slow. The spice also felt strangely placed at times, breaking the flow. But those letters at the end?! Swoon.

I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to experience Enchantra through both the eARC and audiobook. Being able to switch between the two as needed, and the narrator was excellent! Huge thanks to Bookouture Audio and Second Sky/Forever for this impeccable reading experience.
