Vengeful CONspiracies offers an intriguing mix of suspense, intrigue, and personal stakes, though it doesn’t quite hit the mark in terms of pacing and emotional depth. The story centers around Sadie Sabatini, who’s trying to put down roots in Wilson, Texas, after a turbulent past. When her former team members show up, bringing trouble with them, Sadie is once again pulled into a web of deception, revenge, and old enemies.

The premise is strong, and the underlying themes of loyalty, trust, and the consequences of past decisions are well explored. Sadie is a compelling protagonist—determined, resourceful, and loyal to her team, even when it puts her own safety at risk. The dynamic between her and the other characters, especially her former teammates, adds depth to the narrative. I appreciated how the tension built as Sadie discovered she might be the target of a con herself, keeping me engaged throughout.

That said, the pacing felt uneven at times. The first half of the book is a bit slow, with too much buildup and a lot about Sadie’s past decisions. There were moments where I felt like the story could’ve moved forward more quickly, and I found myself wishing for more action or immediate conflict. Once the mutual enemy is found dead, the story picks up, but it takes a while to get there.

The mystery surrounding the dead enemy and the race to uncover the truth was the highlight of the book. The twists were clever, and I did enjoy how the alliances shifted, keeping me guessing until the end. However, the emotional stakes didn’t feel as high as they could have, especially considering Sadie’s personal journey.

Overall, Vengeful CONspiracies is an enjoyable read for fans of suspense and thrillers, but it could have benefited from a tighter plot and more emotional depth. If you’re looking for a fast-paced mystery with some clever twists, this will definitely satisfy, though it may leave you wanting a bit more.
