Love, love, love this book! Really helpful advice on dressing well, how to accessorise and when to call a tailor. I recommended it to a number of friends.

I was amazed by the amount of information and great tips in this book. The book is golden. No one ever told me those things and I thought myself too practical and uninterested to look for myself. Here I have all of the valuable information in one book. Thank you!

This is one useful and fun book from somebody who knows a lot about dressing and upkeeping the said dresses - the costume designer.
The costume designer´s role in making the movie/production is to: understand the character, getting the right fit for the actress/actor and save the day in the case of the wardrobe malfunction (including undergarments and shoes).
So Alison Freer knows what she is talking about and she is quite generous in letting her readers into her "workroom" to see quite a lot of her tips and tricks.
I have enjoyed this book thoroughly. It is very, very practical for the everyday dresser like me (less focused on the actual fashion, more aimed for looking the best in what you have/opt to buy) and offers functioning tips on how to decide on your style, to buy fitting dresses and to keep them at their best state. This one is a keeper.
The only parts missing for me are pictures/photos - I miss them in some topics and generally I love books with lot of pictures as my imagination works very visually.
But otherwise - 5 stars.

I am interested in Ms Freer´s new book already!
