A refreshing series that not only deals with romance but artfully portrayed family dynamics. Olivia wats to stay home, where she's happy, but her family would like to see her well settled. When her crush from younger years, Ben returns, Olivia is still smitten, and this time it's reciprocated. She's mature, she lovely, she's love his adopted child, and she's everything he wants. They have to break rules, which they do, with the support of the her unusual family to get their hea.

When I requested this book, I didn't realize it was part of a series, but after reading this book, I will absolutely go back and read the first two in the series. This was such a sweet (and closed door) historical romance. I loved the love story between Olivia and Benjamin.

I am so happy that we were able to get Olivia’s story in this book. She has been one of my favorite siblings from the very beginning, because she is so spirited and wild. Benjamin is a down-to-earth commoner that has an adopted daughter and is a past friend of the older Taverston siblings. His introduction in the last book was brief, but we knew already that there was a history between Olivia and Benjamin. It was really exciting to finally get a few more details about that as well as to see how they have grown as people since then.

This love story was so hard to read at times, because the characters want to be together, but because of social status are forced to live apart. They are perfect for each other and I just wanted to shout at them to be brave and fight for their love.

I really loved that we got more of a side story with Hazard and also with Alice. They are great characters and I loved that we got to see a little bit more about them throughout this book.

Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book.

Everyone expects Lady Olivia Taverston, the winsome sister of the Earl of Iversley, to be the most sought-after debutante of the London Season. Yet Olivia cares nothing for attracting suitors. Suitors lead to marriage, and marriage means leaving behind everything that she holds dear. Not even the prospect of a love match excites her. She fell in love once. It hurt. She won’t do it again. Naturally, a lady must marry, but Olivia can’t pretend to be happy about it. Especially not after he reappears—and he’s handsomer, kinder, and more annoyingly noble than ever.
I hadn't encountered this author before but I was attracted to the storyline. What a great story, although it seemed a long story I found it rolled along well. Apart from the usual Americanisms this is a most enjoyable story. The characters are very well drawn and I grew to really like the Taverstons and their friends and am disappointed I didn't read the previous books. Although it is not necessary to read them in order I think it would be beneficial. I hope there are more books from this author, maybe Crispin? Many thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an ARC of Waiting for Love.

This third book in The Taverstons of Iversley series was an emotional and well written class difference historical romance. The characters were complex, determined, and strong-willed. I enjoyed that a beautiful love overcame all obstacles. I highly recommend reading!

This is the third book in the historical romance series that brings us the Taverston family. Personally I think they are better read in order, just because it helps to know the family dynamics. But you would still enjoy it on its own.
This time its our heroine, the only girl, and she is the youngest. Naturally her big brothers are determined to find the best possible husband for her. Unfortunately the one man she wants, doesn't qualify.
Our hero recently returned to England, with his adopted daughter. He knows, because of his past, and his place in society, he must be grateful for the position he holds.
This is definitely an interesting family who are not afraid of doing their own thing. It also points out just how foolish the rigid rules of the "ton" were. A thoroughly enjoyable read with wonderful characters. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. The last brother will be fun.
Great fun.

Olivia's story was worth the wait. It was also a page turner to see how it would end with her and Ben. Love that this series continues to include characters from previous novels and you get a feel on family doing their best for each other. Free ARC from NetGalley for honest review.

I love the Taverstons, a family that stands together through thick and thin. I especially enjoy the fact that they draw others into their circle, making them one of their own. Lady Olivia only wants one thing. To be allowed to remain at Chaumbers among the people she loves and longs to take care of. Unfortunately, her family is determined to see that she finally gets her season and marries a powerful lord. The return of her brother's friend, Benjamin, with his adopted daughter in tow, only adds to her confusion, given that she finds she is still attracted to him, even after their last disastrous encounter. To make matters worse, he is now her brother's steward. There is a sweet romance that brews throughout the plot, and in spite of the difficulties family members encounter, there is wit and a highly entertaining outcome, which left me laughing out loud. I received a copy of this heartwarming and enjoyable romance as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Being the only girl with three brothers, Olivia is used to them assuming they know what is best for her. They don't ask her what she wants. All that she wants is Benjamin, but he is not part of the aristocracy. Their story has the push pull tension as they try to deny their feelings which draws the reader into the story more completely!

What does a guy do when a 14 yr old girl tells him she has a huge crush on him? Well if you are a true gentleman, like Ben, you let her down as gently and gracefully as possible allowing her to retain her dignity. Thus Olivia goes off to lick her pride and wounded heart until Ben returns years later with a child in tow. Even though Ben is much older, he develops feeling for Olivia in this lovely story. There are a few drags in the pace but it generally is an even flow. As part of an ongoing series, this story includes some family characters but can stand alone. If you love reading about siblings, this is a great series that you don't want to miss out on.

3.5 I thought Olivia was lovely. She had a free spirt to her that really reenforced her love of the country and how much she truly belonged there. I like that even though it was her crush that might have been the driving force for her in the beginning it was actively called out that she had been to young for him before his return. That the woman she became was who he fell in love with. I liked Benjamin too, how can a man who bonds and actively participates his daughters life be bad. So much better than almost all contemporary single father troupe books I have read. I like that unlike the previous books, the couples didn't meet till half way through the book. However, this had a pacing issue to me that made it slow in some spots. Jasper was still Jaspering as well... so that's annoying lol.

I really liked how much she bonded with his daughter based on the memories that brought her joy. She wanted others to have that as well. Which was also shown with how she helped take care of the tenants around the country estate.

This is mostly closed door in my opinion but also somehow the most descriptive of the three.

I can't wait to read the next

I would like to thank Netgalley and Dragonblade Publishing for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an enjoyable class difference romance, but the romance did feel a little second to other plot lines.

This is the third book in the Taverstons of Iversley series. Lady Olivia is the youngest, with three older brothers. She's always had a crush on one of her brother's friends, Benjamin. The family has been in mourning so she hasn't had her debut yet. Ben's been living in Canada but he's back, with a little girl in tow.

I enjoyed watching both of them try a fight their attraction to each other. Ben feels like a future with Olivia will never happen because he's now the steward. Honestly, they are perfect for each other because both of them are caregivers, and both are very interested in the well-being of the tenants and villagers.

Hannah, the two year old is adorable and instantly loves Olivia, calling her "Olly". I love the entire family and I'm glad they were featured heavily in this book.
I can't wait until Crispin's book!!

Thank you to Dragonblade for the copy of this book. Opinions are my own.

Class divide...

Lady Olivia is nineteen, young and blond and was once infatuated with Benjamin. She told him and he let her down as gently as he could. He is eight years older then and she was fourteen. Now, she's nineteen, he's 27 and a single father to a little girl that was orphaned in Canada. Benjamin is painfully aware of the chasm that exists between the Taverston's and himself, the son of a poor laborer and now the family steward. Though the family is close and accepts him, he knows better than to cross the class divide. Olivia, on the other hand is so very young and sheltered at just nineteen.

I'm enjoying this series.
Recommend.

Everyone expects Lady Olivia Taverston, the sister of the Earl of Iversley, to be the most sought-after debutante of the London Season. Yet Olivia cares nothing for attracting suitors. Suitors lead to marriage, and marriage means leaving behind everything that she holds dear. Mr. Benjamin Carroll has returned to England after an admittedly hare-brained attempt to make his fortune in Canada. A failed business venture not only left him bankrupt, but also made him the adoptive father of his deceased partners’ little girl. Thankfully, he has a lifeline. Jasper Taverston, the Earl of Iversley, an old Oxford chum, has offered him the job of estate steward. The only complication is Jasper’s little sister. Years ago, her infatuation with Benjamin progressed from silly to embarrassing.
The third book in the & it’s easily read on its own. Characters from previous books do appear but family members should as they don’t just disappear. I liked both Benjamin & Olivia & enjoyed their tender romance, whilst their chemistry didn’t sizzle it was definitely there. The pace was generally good but for me it did lag at times. A well written romance which whilst it wasn’t a page turn for me it did leave me feeling satisfied
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

This series is not merely a collection of four romance novels, but instead it is a portrait of a family changing and growing. As each novel is released, the portrait becomes richer with more characters entering the family, deeper relationships, and new challenges that the family faces together. The first book, Counting on Love, was a lovely novel, but the following two books have really elevated the whole Taverston saga to a permanent place in my heart and mind.

While Holding onto Love still might be my favorite book of the series (it’s a close call though!) Benjamin is my favorite MMC. His POV is nuanced and complicated. His kindness and loyalty resonate from the bottom of his heart, and it is especially sweet to see him with his adopted daughter. While Oliva is the spirited youngest sibling who can ride horses like the wind, she also shows maturity that is usually missing from young debutantes in historical romance. She is never bratty over her circumstances and tries to do what is right for her family.

Since the beginning of the series, the family has grown beyond the four Taverston siblings. Now their inner circle includes spouses, family of their spouses, and close friends, such as Viscount Haslet, and Benjamin. Amongst their shenanigans, they love and look out for one another fiercely. Sometimes I am shocked to remember that these are fictional characters, because it feels like such an honor to know them.

One of the strengths of this book is that the protagonists from the earlier novels were very present and drove the plot. Along with the memories and romance between Oliva and Benjamin, the family dynamics made up a large part of this story. I love epilogues, so I enjoyed seeing the married life of the two brothers and their wives.

I loved that much of this book took place at Chaumbers, as it was an important and special place for all, but especially Olivia and Ben. It’s a charming, imperfect place. Of course, as it is Oliva’s debut season, I also was entertained by the fantastical elements of the ballrooms and the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. The marriage mart storyline is always enjoyable, especially when it sets up opportunities for a jealous MMC.

Carol Coventry does not back away from angst and grit. While it means that I found myself a bit moodier while reading it, it is worth all of the difficult feelings to be able to experience the resolution in its full effect. While all the elements of romance are there and masterfully constructed, the way she includes weightier topics sets it apart from the genre. It just hits differently.

I really do enjoy this series and all the family dynamics ! This third book was much more focused on the family and the budding romance and wasn’t as complicated as the 2nd book. I don’t know why we had so many pages of Benjamin’s backstory in the last few pages but I can live with that 😂 I do believe this author wants to include a lot of historical facts in her book which is nice but I’m more here for the romance when I’m reading HF

Also - still waiting for my favourite character’s story . I have some ideas 🤔

This is such a good example of when historical romance addresses class struggle! The pacing worked well and even though the impediments to their relationship were somewhat frustrating, the payoff was very fun!

I love historical romances and this one was very good. I have enjoyed reading this series so far and love watching Olivia get her Happy ever after! Although the book was great some times it did fall a little flat!

Historical romances just get me. I am 100% sure I was born on the wrong continent and in the wrong era.

With my third book into the Taverston story, I am truly invested in Olivia finding her HEA. Like a great series of historical fiction, the Taverston family bucks ton tradition and appreciates everyone, no matter their social standing. "Waiting for Love" is the story of Olivia and Benjamin and the Taverston's push for Olivia to finally enter society and find a match that is advantageous to all.

This was an enjoyable read but without heat. Unfortunately, at times it read a little too slow without the heat and longing to keep you engaged for that long. If you however enjoy a sweet romance, this is the perfect book for you.

Thank you to Carol Coventry and Net Galley for an ARC copy for an honest review.
