Alexis Carew joined the Navy as a midshipman on the Merlin to get away from the inheritance laws on her planet. In the Navy, she found a place that she fit in despite being the only female on the crew. Her had work and determination kept her going through pirates, conspiracies, and firefights. But will she survive in the Navy off the Merlin? Will need to catch up with this series when I have time.
