This book was amazing! The world-building pulled me in, and I was hooked the whole time, constantly wondering what would happen next.
She’s dead set on wiping out all vampires, so she comes up with a risky plan—making a deal with a vampire lord to get closer to them.
Tropes to expect:
🔥vampires, fae, witches, and all kinds of different creatures
🔥enemies to lovers
🔥marriage of convenience
🔥they are probably fated mates? Not sure, we gotta wait for the next book now🥲
It’s a 4.5⭐️ for me and I loved every second of it

I had literally no idea what to expect from this. Victoria J. Price is a new author for me and I was completely blown away. Read this whole thing in one setting. It was seriously so good.

A sassy witch, a brooding immortal, and all the sexual tension—what more could you ask for? This book had me hooked from page one. The banter between Rae and Aiden was chef’s kiss, the worldbuilding was top-notch, and every twist caught me off guard in the best possible way. I was literally yelling at the pages, just kiss already! And now I’m desperate for book two!

I LOVED this book. 🥵🔥 I couldn’t put it down! This book has literally everything — world building, twists, and the romance… wow. So good! The chemistry between Aiden and Rae is unbelievable. If you’re looking for an addictive urban Romantasy then this is the winner. Never Run From An Immortal is my new obsession.

Thank you for this ARC, provided by NetGalley.
This book felt like it would be enjoyable for readers that liked “The Dark in You” series by Suzanne Wright and the “Demon Days, Vampire Nights” series by K.F. Breene.
Right from the start, I found this story challenging to get into. The world-building hits you over the head with its different groups of creatures and factions and doesn’t really let up. It felt like every second sentence introduced a new name, character, subgroup, position, or leader, making it hard for the actual story to come through.
The FMC was the typical snarky, sassy heroine that this genre is teeming with. I found her far too cocky and grating - I can get behind a character like this, but she somehow felt hollow. Her dialogue and overall attitude made her feel like a walking cliché of a cocky urban fantasy heroine that I’ve seen a thousand times before. The very played-out quips and generic dialogue that was often used didn’t help much with my impression either.
The MMC fit the stereotypical cold, focused leader type. I did enjoy the marriage of convenience/fake relationship aspect once it got going, but since both characters felt like archetypes rather than fully developed characters, their interactions weren’t all that interesting to read.
That said, the world itself had sparks of intriguing lore built into it and I found the action quite enjoyable. The chemistry between the two leads was felt, and I did like scenes of them as they worked together.
Unfortunately, the plot felt convoluted and messy, making it difficult to follow. Lore and character details were randomly dropped in a way that felt more like scattered exposition than meaningful world-building. The overwhelming amount of information, combined with disjointed smaller plot points, made it hard to stay engaged with the main storyline.
I’m disappointed I didn’t enjoy this more because I love urban fantasy and saw real potential here. There were moments I liked - glimpses that were really fun - but overall, it didn’t really entice me to continue the series.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc!bI adored this book! If you loved the world building in Crescent City by SJM and House of Devils by Kayla Edwards then definitely check this one out. I absolutely love this type of urban fantasy that blends advanced technology and fantasy elements in such a fun way.
Our FMC, Rae, is a jeweler and our MMC Aidan is the Vampire Lord, leader of the vampires who have terrorized humans forever and the last person that Rae wants to trust. Demesia is on the brink of war, and after being thrown together Rae and Aidan need to work together. Aidan is missing magic that only Rae can find, and Aiden has resources that she needs to accomplish her goals (which we learn about throughout the book.) Loved the marriage of convenience trope in this!
I loved the dual POV, Aidan’s chapters were honestly my favorite! I loved him and Rae together. They had so much chemistry and great banter.
The plot was fast paced and had so many twists I loved it! The worldbuilding at the start was a bit confusing but I ended up catching on pretty quick. The ending was freaking fantastic and I will be patiently waiting for book 2 because I’m so excited to go back to these characters!

This book gripped me from the title and held my attention through the entire thing! I loved the writing, characters and the plot! I cant wait to read more from the author! Thank you for the ARC!

I love a good paranormal romance and it's always interesting to see what authors do to differentiate their story from so many paranormal romances that have already been written.
In this story, you have Vampires, Fae, and humans all sharing a city. Each of the group is broken down into different orders based on how they believe the city should be "ruled" or run. The humans are sick of being on the bottom and some of their orders are looking for ways to get rid of the vampires and fae. The Vampire Lord has a big secret and ends up teaming with a human woman that likes to use spells to change her appearance.
In some aspects, I suppose this could sound like some other paranormal romance books, but I thought the author did a fair job of keeping things interesting and different. I wish they would have gone a little deeper into some aspects of the world building, but maybe the next book will add to it!
I give this book 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4) and I look forward to when the 2nd book is released!
Thank you #NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

ARC review thanks to Netgalley.
3.75 stars
This took me a bit to get into with so much world building but once I got into it the story got real good. The ending was a little predictable but I still enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing where the story of Rae and Aiden goes in future books.
My only criticism is that the story felt a bit disjointed in parts as character thoughts and feelings are talked through before suddenly moving on to what they are physically doing. It felt like my brain felt like it was in one place before being jerked somewhere else.

This is a page turner for fans of urban fantasy and romance from an author I had yet to read from! I am so excited to see that there are other titles in her repertoire that can fill the hole that Never Run from an Immortal has left behind in my reader’s heart.
Plot: Set in a contemporary, magical world with a gritty, urban vibe, this book delivers intrigue with a fast moving plot as we along with the main characters try to explain mysterious disappearances of Fae, Humans, Witches and Vampires alike.
Characters: Our leads meet pretty early on in the story- Rae, a human thief, and Aidan, our vampire lord. They both hold secrets that are revealed along with the nefarious plans of others within the occult orders that rule the city and the continent. They decide on a partnership/marriage of convenience to get the information they both want 🫣
Fave Moments: The tension in this book is what enemies to lovers is made of. I felt like the romance and spice was balanced with the plot of the story. The female character is strong, powerful and smart. I appreciated her character and also her growth.
Growing Edges: My only critique is, that with any fantasy book, this world is so multilayered with different factions and magic that at times it was hard to keep up with everyone’s motivations, which brought me out of the story at times. These moments didn’t last long though and I just held on for the rest of the ride.
This is the first book of a series that ends on a cliffhanger and can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you to NetGalley for the e-ARC ❤️

This book was called Never Run from an Immortal by VIctoria J Price
The story follows a rebellious, metalworking FMC named Rae who is running from a mysterious past; and her unlikely alliance with a Vampire lord named Aidan. I see this book as similar to Bride by Ali Hazelwood or The Crescent City series - it’s a realistic, modern setting with a host of different fantasy races.
This world involves several competing factions of vampires, humans, witches, and fae all trying to gain control of the world in which they live. Rae, as a leader of one of these factions, is trying to protect her loved ones and give them an even playing field in a world that is inherently unequal.
At the beginning, the lore was a bit confusing to me and I had to kind of sort through information about what the different Orders were and how they interacted with each other. For example, there’s several different “types” of vampires and several different factions of humans, and it was kind of confusing figuring out how all of that worked. More than that, I didn’t understand who the leaders were of these factions or orders. I had to kind of keep pushing through and it was an amazing book otherwise. I was sad there wasn’t a map but this also could be because this is an ARC read and not an officially released book.
The female main character is a great example of a flawed heroine who is also very capable and has very many tricks under her sleeve, which unravel throughout the story. Several surprises are revealed about the character, the circumstances of her life, her motivations, etc.,
This book ended on a cliffhanger, and I feel like it was just set up for the rest of the series, so I’m so anxious to read the rest and find out what happens to our characters.

Amazing- where do I begin? Victoria J. Prince is a brilliant writer, she had me hooked within the first few chapters of Never Run From An Immortal. She created relationships between the characters that felt real, with strains and triumphs that other writers cannot accomplish. It was well paced and such a fun read for me, there was never a dull moment where I felt like I should take a break. I guarantee I will not be alone in this statement, please Victoria Prince write the next book soon!
The story follows Rae, a powerful fierce female, her every move calculated, planned, and her thoughts hidden. She created relationships between the characters that felt real, with strains and triumphs that other writers cannot accomplish. This was my first experience reading one of her books - I am hooked!

Book Review: Never Run From an Immortal by Victoria J. Price
Enemies to allies (and maybe more)? Fake marriage? Forced proximity? A morally gray couple full of sharp edges? Yep, sign me up.
This book throws you straight into the action—literally with a Boom! (IYKYK). The pacing never slows, and the tension—both in the plot and between Rae and Aidan—keeps you hooked.
Rae Farren, our smart-mouthed Witch FMC, has the kind of attitude I respect (and a vocabulary I appreciate). Aidan Vale, our broody vampire lord, might be lost without his mojo… but is Rae the one who can bring it back? Their dynamic is fiery, their banter is sharp, and their rough edges might just fit together if they’d let them.
The world-building was immersive, and I appreciated the glossary-style definitions that helped set the scene. The only thing that pulled me out for a second? Everything had unique names—except "weed." It just felt a little too normal for this world, but that’s a small detail in an otherwise well-crafted setting.
The ending? Twists. Plural. One I saw coming, but the other? Not at all—well played, Victoria J. Price.
Special shoutout to Ru and Quinn because they stole every scene they were in. Absolutely worth checking out when it releases!
Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the e-ARC!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book. A gorgeous 3 star read book from me. What an exciting plot, vivid storytelling and relatable, rich characters. I couldn't put this book down – absolutely loved it.

Just finished reading an early copy of "Never Run From An Immortal" by @Victoriajprice and seriously, it was such a good read!
So there's this character Rae Farren who's totally into spilling blood - her enemies' blood, she'd point out. But in this place called Demesia, it's pretty much impossible to tell who's who anymore.
War's coming, and humans and supernatural creatures are about to go at it. Rae's desperate and makes this deal with the enemy, which is probably gonna end badly, but what choice does she have?
Then there's Aidan Vale, this vampire who fought his way to the top, but he's got this secret - his magic's been stolen and he can't let anyone find out or they'll come for his throne.
When Rae (who swears like a sailor) offers him a deal, Aidan's like "why not?" She could either save him or ruin him, but saying no seems worse.
They clash like crazy, but Aidan sticks with it thinking "keep your enemies close."
The book's set in this messed-up world with magic, tech, and tons of lying. It's got the whole enemies-to-lovers thing going on between a witch who doesn't hold back and a vampire lord. Great if you're into forced proximity, convenient marriages, and characters who are definitely in the gray area morally.
I couldn't put it down! The dual POV works so well. No boring setup - just jumps right into the action. The world's full of fae, humans, vampires, and witches all about to go to war. It’s just pure survival mode the whole time and I was totally there for it.

Beyond grateful to Netgalley and Victoria price for the opportunity to review this ARC.
What. A. Ride!
Set in modern times in the city of Demesia, the story follows Rae; a 28-year-old human, and Aidan, a young(ish) Vampire lord. Rae is frustrated with the power struggle between fae and vampires that always results in humans being taken advantage of, and maybe Aidan feels the same?
Once the two cross paths, they come to an agreement; in exchange of Aidan's resources, Rae will help him get back his magic that's been missing for 15 years.
In the midst of all this, humans and fae are disappearing from all over the city. Sparks and insults fly as the two begrudgingly work together, trying to find out what's happening to the missing individuals and experience a race against time to get their end goals met. Can they look past their differences and work together?
This book had me hooked IMMEDIATELY! The main characters choices may annoy you at times but it makes sense in the context of their experiences. Did I also mention the FMC is 28??
I read this in approximately 2 days and highly recommend for fans of urban romance (it scratches that itch that crescent City started).
I give it 5/5⭐'s and will 100% re-read this. In fact, I anticipate I'll get myself a physical copy once it's released on the 25th of April!
Already aching for book 2!

Five WELL DESERVED stars.
Standing ovation.
Chef's kiss.
I loved this book. In a genre overwhelmed with dragons, trials, and fairytale retellings, Never Run From An Immortal was a breath of fresh air. The world building was phenomenal, and the storyline was captivating.
I loved the slow burn, forbidden romance.
I loved the development of the side characters.
I loved the fierceness and the tenacity of Rae.
I loved that the storyline revolved just as much around friendship as it did romance.
Thank you, thank you for allowing me to read this ARC!
What a masterpiece!

Snark, attitude, secrets, power plays, and yep witches, vampires, and fae - all come together to create a highly entertaining, sometimes tense, sometimes emotional, and totally action packed fantasy with enough sizzle to keep things interesting. Ends on one heck of a cliff!

Super hot and the banter, yes! Rae just has a way with words, she is so witty. I love her so much. She gives Aidan so much sass.
I read this is one sitting, because I couldn't put it down. Their stories (dual POV) were so fascinating, as well as their pasts, plus lots of action. Loved Victoria's descriptions and writing.
I am definitely buying the kickstarter special edition of this book!

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, captivating and twisty read, Never Run From An Immortal may just be the book for you.
I loved the dynamic between our main characters - the banter was top tier 🤌🏻🤌🏻 Rae is a witch absolutely brimming with sass and confidence, and Aiden is a powerful, brooding immortal, and guess what? There’s a marriage of convenience trope thrown in here for good measure.
Thank you endlessly to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy.
