This would be a great tool for schools and libraries to provide support to children with new family dynamics to help explain the changes.

Changing Tides by Julia Moscardo is an engaging book for all young scholars. This is a beautiful story about two families that become one. The children are the focus of the book as they navigate new feelings and being new siblings. The setting is a vacation at the beach and how everyone is patient and understanding as they learn to slowly trust each other. This is a terrific book to open conversations about celebrating blended families. I'm grateful to read an early copy of this book on NetGalley.

Netgalley ARC - 4.5 stars rounded up. This was a very sweet story and I do like that they build something beatiful and find shared interest and get along. The art is very pretty and I especially like how the water is illustrated. Only reason its not 5 stars is honestly the description/summary is unnecessarily misleading and hints at drama - there is not much drama to be found.

A sweet, short story about a blended family. The reader gets to watch two step-siblings take a trip to the beach together and slowly get used to each other. They eventually find that they like each other more than they like playing apart.

The book was beautifully written. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

Lula's *favorite* place is the beach. But when a beach trip rolls around, Lula's father tells her that Simone and her son Theo are coming along too -- the four of them are now a family! Lula's not sure how she feels about sharing the experience (and her toys!) with someone else. But when she and Theo navigate both their rocky new sibling relationship and a brewing, big storm, they find that they're stronger when they work and play together.

I loved this book. Such a heartfelt story with charming, sweet illustrations!

Julia Moscardo, this is one of the most beautiful childrens books I’ve read in a LONG time! I taught preschool for five years, and wish I had this for my classroom. My four kids and I absolutely cherished reading this at bedtime. From start to finish, each page was delightful.

My 2.5 yo picked this one out (I let her scroll down the pages) because of the beach on the cover. It was a very cute book and the illustrations were pretty. There were however a lot of words on each page. This book would probably be best for 3-5 year olds! My toddler did like flipping through the pictures, but it was just too much to hold her interest right now!
