This was a very well written, very fast moving historical fiction set in the UK during the war. It was not at all graphic or gory, focused more on the personal interactions between the main characters.

Wren (Serenity) was frustrated being stuck at home while her twin brother Tommy went off to fight for their country. She manages to join up with a newly formed secret group of specially trained women, but her participation must remain secret, even from her family. Even when Wren feels an attraction to one of her brother's friends, Edward, she can't be completely honest with him.

I did enjoy this book. I hope it is the beginning of a series, because I like this author's style.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

What a wonderful book. It’s my first by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. Wren is a determined young woman who finds herself signing the official secrets act and going undercover. Her brother Thomas is a pilot and his best friend becomes Wrens boss. A lot of cloke and dagger but then that was WW2. Thanks to Alice and her publisher. Thanks also to NetGalley

I enjoyed this romance set during WW2 with an undertone of British resistance and espionage. The WW2 backdrop is interesting and informal without being heavy.

Perfect for Saga and romance fans.

A good, easy read. Although the novel deals with a serious topics, undercover women during WWII in England, the author managed to write a light felt story where romance plays a big role. Not much tension but heartwarming.
I received a digital copy of this novel from NetGalley and I have voluntarily written an honest review.

. A fast paced and very enjoyable read that had me on the edge of my seat and constantly turning the pages. The Resistance Girls follows the story of a young British woman, Wren, during the midst of the 2nd world war as she carries out various tasks in service of her country. There were many twists and turns I didn't expect and I had the hardest time putting this one down. Wren is the main character we all want to read, she's strong, determined, and stubborn. She knows what she wants and goes for it. The supporting characters diverse and each add to the storyline in their own way. All in all an excellent read and I look forward to further books by this author.

An easy and enjoyable read that I quickly finished. There were plenty of twists and turns and it kept me guessing who the spy was and who were the goodies and the baddies! It was perhaps a bit far fetched in places but sometimes it's nice to plunge into a world like that and a happy ending is always welcomed!

I look forward to the next book in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers and of course the author for writing the title and allowing me to review a preview copy.

Wow this book was fantastic! Based on real events in WW2 a group of highly skilled and courageous women were recruited to hide in plain site. This book follows Wren throughout the war and her secret missions. Totally hooked from page one, this was a real page turner, it was tense and exciting and had me holding my breath in places when things got a little bit iffy for Wren. World War 2 stories that have some truth to them blow me away, I can’t imagine living through a war and also finding the courage as a woman to fight. A brilliantly told story, I cannot wait for the next in the series. If the quality of book one is anything to go by, book 2:is going to be a cracker. Highly recommend if I could give it more than five stars I would!
