In more work-related reading I’ve read most of Persuasive Copywriting: Using Psychology to Engage, Influence and Sell by Andy Maslen. I started off thinking there would be some revelations in there about how I could make my writing better and it turns out that I’m not that bad. At least, I understand the theory – whether I execute it or not is a call you are better placed to make than me.
Aimed at professional copywriters, it’s a detailed but easy to read book that would benefit people who are looking to write better at work as well. There are exercises (none of which I have done) so more dedicated people than me can practice and hone their skills.
