Thank you to NetGalley and Pen & Sword for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
TLDR: A great literary tool for aspiring video game developers. 4 stars
The funny thing about this is that I am not a developer or designer in any way for video games. Simply, I am a gamer interested in knowing the how, why and what of the industry. This book definitely gave me insight into the process.
The book itself is a great tool fo those wanting to make their own game, starting all the way from the beginning in the ideas and ending at the release of the game. A good introductory guide, but not something directed at veterans of the industry. I do however think that some of the upper management might need a little insight (that this book can give) into the process so we don't run more studios into the ground ...
Regardless of my opinion on the industry ... This is a great and informative book that confirmed some of my suspicions on the process and some surprises into it.
Highly recommend it if you also want to know some of the inner workings or if you are an aspiring developer wanting to start off your journey with a little extra help.
I give this 4 stars. Highly informative with easy to digest text and lots of pictures to make a clearer picture.
