I absolutely loved this book! It swept me away from the first page and was full of emotion and nostalgia and lovely characters. The writing is warm, vivid, and filled with heart. This was my second book by Shari Low and it definitely didn't disappoint. Moira’s journey is both poignant and empowering, and the themes of friendship, choices, and second chances were handled with such care. This is one of those books that will linger long after you've turned the last page. A total gem!

its Shari low, welcome. need i say more? not really. i could simply leave this at five stars MUST read and that would be enough. and probably better then i could ever go on to do in a review of her work. why? because she is simply one of the best. and if you see her name to a new book you must.just.read it.
and then spend time thinking over it and wondering if it will be embedded in your heart forever. and then when she brings out a new one you get to go back and google all the old ones and be once again reminded of all her great works and wonder if this new new one will now be the favourite.
so do read this book. read it now. and just feel better for doing so.
i want to hug the woman featured in this book. i want to know them in their past and in their present. i want to know more and heal more and just hang out with them. i love how we get to know so much of who they are both together and then how theyve lived since all those decades before.
this is another best book. i truly adore Shari low.

Another absolutely fabulous book by Shari Low. She never fails to deliver on wonderful characters and a well finished story.

Moira decides that it's time to go back to Hong Kong and meet up with old friends and look up some old haunts so she sends letters to her 2 oldest friends that she spent her youth gigging in Hong Kong with and she heads off. When the time comes for then to meet, there are surprises all around.
Will the ladies reunion be all that Moira hopes it will be and will they reconnect like the old times.

A beautiful book about the power of love and relationships. Full of hope.

One More Day of Us
I absolutely loved this book. Being stationed in Hong Kong in the early ‘80’s it brought back many happy memories and was very evocative of the time there particularly the heat and intense humidity.
In present day Glasgow Moira now a retired cruise and pub singer thinks back to 1990 when she was a hotel singer in Hong Kong and met lived and worked with two other girls in their early twenties Carina and Lisa. Having lost touch with them over the years Moira decides to book a holiday of a life time to return to Hong Kong writing to them both to join her there.
The story goes back to their time in Hong Kong and to their present lives in 2025, it does this seamlessly and we learn much about these three and their subsequent lives.
This is a beautiful engaging and engrossing story of love and deep friendship. A wonderful cast of characters that are so well described you instantly can picture each of them and it is a joy to read.
I well remember going to the hotel lounges/bars to watch and listen to the acts and they were all wonderful and this book captures the atmosphere authentically and stirred up a lot of wonderful memories for me.

A typical Shari Low read. Initially it starts with Moria in Glasgow and a need to reconnect with her 2 friends she met in the 90”s in Hong Kong. She invites them to join her on the 35th anniversary. What ensues is a story of love and loss, new friendships and love also set in Hong Kong, Glasgow, Ireland and Dubai.

If you like Hallmark movies, then you’ll love this story. I’m not usually a fan of such books, but this was a sweet, if predictable read.

The characters are all likable and the book ends exactly how you would expect it to, but overall, it was an enjoyable read. I would absolutely recommend it if you’re into syrupy mindless reads.

You always know what you are getting with Shari Lows novels, and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed the dual timeline between present day and 1990s Hong Kong. The characters are rich, funny, and well developed. A great novel to enjoy by the pool.

Once again Shari Low has written a book that captivated and kept me reading all night. This is a story of friendship, family, secrets, and second chances. Three women meet and share a wild year in Hong Kong living their best lives. When they each go their separate ways, life gets in the way and they don't meet up again for 35 years. The week long reunion in Hong Kong brings revelations, some sadness, new friendships, and renewed friendships.
Absolutely loved this story, the characters were all unique and well developed, the plot while a duel time line, flowed smoothly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great, feel good story.

Superb novel and one that kept me turning the pages long into the night wanting to find out what would happen. In 1990 three young performers in their early 20’s are in Hong Kong living their best lives and loving their jobs. Moira , Lisa and Carina are all very different but enjoy life together and making the most of every day. Fast forward to present day and Moira, now a retired singer is looking to meet up with her friends and invites them to meet up again in their old stomping ground, however despite not seeing each other for many years they all are set to go.

The story is one of many life changing events which revolve around the characters and their friends and family. As with the author’s other fabulous books there are some old faces that make a return appearance and we are able to delve further into their lives. The sights and sounds of Hong Kong are brilliantly described and the meeting up of three women there tells the story of how life has changed them and their families and helps them become friends again in different ways.

Many tissues are needed for this and a good amount of time before starting another book as I will be thinking about this one for some time to come. Highly recommended.

LOVE THIS BOOK! We’ve met Ollie in a previous book and his mum Moira has been mentioned. This is the story of Moira returning to Hong Kong to revisit her youth…and she’s invited Carina and Lisa who she spent those wild times to come along for a reunion. Carina arrives but Lisa doesn’t….instead her daughter Stevie turns up and she has questions she’s ready love to know the answer to. This book was yet again brilliant and a thoroughly enjoyable read.

What a beautiful story. Another fantastic read from Shari Low, Moira met Carina and Lisa when they worked as singers in Hong Kong living the dream and partying hard, when Moira decides to go back to Glasgow they all go there separate ways and don't see each other again but thirty years later Moira sends them an invitation to join her for a week to go back to where they met but can they rekindle their ,friendships. A story of love,loss and so much more heartbreakingly beautiful and well written with warmth and charm,fabulous characters who you couldn't help but fall in love with. A worthy 5🌟read

I love this author! I can always be guaranteed of an absolute page turner every time I pick up a book by her! In this book, we find ourselves in a dual timeline story, switching back and forth between the 1990's and present day. In the 90's, Moira, Carina and Lisa are singers in Hong Kong. They are living the dream in a job they love. In the present day, the young women are 30 years older and have lost touch, but when Moira heads to Hong Kong to celebrate her retirement she invites her old friends to join her and relive some memories from their time there together.

This was such a wonderful read! I love how this author writes her stories, you know there are going to be so many likeable characters, a gripping storyline, life lessons learnt and a secret that will inevitably be revealed before the end of the book! I loved Moira, Carina and Lisa's characters in the 90's. They behaved exactly how you would expect 3 young women abroad to behave!! The Hong Kong scene sounded great, and I could just picture the nightclub with the clubs and the bars that they performed in as I read! In both parts of the story, we were also treated to some amazing descriptions of Hong Kong's scenery and I really wished I could have seen it for myself! Their storylines, in both times, are so well written. I felt like I knew the characters right from the very beginning and settled into their stories very quickly. I also felt all their ups and downs with them, and shared their tears and laughter. The characters were all so likeable, and I could feel myself rooting for each of them to do what was right for them.

The storyline flowed so well, and I honestly couldn't put it down once I'd started it. It is an emotional read, but there was also some fun moments which lightened the mood. These were definitely the kind of women you would want as best friends and I really hope to see more of them! It's a heart-warming story of friendships, life and self-discovery! Would definitely recommend!

This is the Shari Low book i have read and I enjoyed it so much that I downloaded more books. I enjoyed the way the story followed the 3 main characters through a specific period in their lives and how retracing their steps brings a new and deeper understanding of each other. I would highly recommend this novel.

I was so excited when I seen Shari Low had a new book coming out! I just love her books and this was another cracking read.
The story goes between 1990 and the present day when 3 girls meet in Hong Kong for the first time. Miora, Crina and Lisa. They promised to meet up 30 odd years later. A fantastic read where Shari can transport you to Hong Kong.

Really good book that i will recommend to others.
