Let me tell you, this book was awesome. It hit every area that needed to be hit. It was the epitome of a confident woman who also happened to be plus size. Nina was a fantastic character, and I loved how she evolved throughout the story. She started out as a player before realizing she had finally found her person. Hell, this book inspired me to become a content creator. And the GOAT Wesliegh Siobhan delivered an excellent narration. If you haven’t already, make sure you pick up this five-star book. Peace and blessings.💙

4.5⭐️ OMG Ms Wesleigh Siobhan you brought this book to life girl!!! The spice was EXTRA SPICY 🥵 lol i had to cut the volume down in my car everytime i played it because something was always being said or done.😅 And i loved the forbidden romance trope. The love between the main characters was so genuine and sweet and they had me dying laughing when they were together. The charisma was amazing 👏🏾 this book was SUCH A FUN TIME!! 100% recommend!

A confident plus sized FMC, a down bad MMC, and forced proximity? Sign me up! I honestly love the character of Nina, her squad of supportive friends, and the love story (it is spicy!). I did feel like the book dragged on for a bit and was longer than I’d like (it took me about 30% of the way through to really start enjoying myself). This was an extremely fun listen and Wesleigh Siobhan is TALENTED! I legitimately want to listen to everything read by her now. 3.5 bumped to 4 due to the amazing FMC and representation!

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook!

OOOOMMMMMGGGGGoodnessss!!! This book absolutely did not disappoint. I wanted to read this book because I read the first one and was so impressed and enjoyed it!! So of course I needed in on the second one! And, I knew when the audiobook started I was gonna enjoy it because because Wesleigh Siobhan(she's my FAVE) was reading!!!!

This book was so lighthearted and enjoyable.

I enjoyed the topics that were touched on. And how the author corrected the misconceptions of bigger women not finding love because of their size. I loved how Nina dated effectively, built a "team", enjoyed herself and found her forever.

The way Russ loved, protected and risked it all for Nina was EVERYTHING!!!!

The love story was so bomb!! The spice was on point!!!

Danielle Allen has made a true fan out of me with this one! Nina’s story was everything I wanted and more. Nina was such an intriguing and character side character in Curvy Girl Summer that I was sat for her book. I loved seeing her go from hot girl to lover girl.

Russ is THE perfect man. I love him down!! The way that he consistood ten toes down for Nina was everything.

The audio was phenomenal, Wesleigh Siobahn is a fantastic narrator. Her narration took this book to a whole new level!!

I love this series with my whole heart, I cannot wait for Jazz’s book!!!

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the free ALC. My opinions are being left voluntarily. What a series this book did not disappoint.. I love when a book shows a strong af plus size woman owning and controlong her sexuality, and standing up for herself. This was steamy af early on and man it did not take the the foot off the gas. I loved the plot it kept me interested. My only teeny tiny thing was could have been shorter felt a tad bit too long.

5/5☆

I had so much fun listening to this audio. Wesleigh Siobhan’s narration was perfection for this story!

Plus Size Player was upbeat, empowering, and overall just fun from beginning to end. After reading Curvy Girl Summer I knew the follow up story would NOT disappoint. Danielle Allen gave us positive body representation, spicy scenes that left us wanting more, and growth of the FMC! The banter between the FMC and her “roster” was relevant with current pop culture references that made me chuckle, and not in a cringey way!
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this ALC! I can not wait to add a physical copy of this book to my bookshelf.

Baby, let me tell you how I had such a good time listening to this book! I read Curvy Girl Summer last year and knew I had to read this one. When I got the advanced listening copy I knew I had to press play immediately! (Other book plans be damned! LOL) What I am learning about Danielle Allen is she will get to the action immediately and I love that. She had me stressed from the beginning! I loved Nina's confident character. She was focused on her career while having fun and setting clear boundaries while doing that. Plus, she really knew how to pick her roster. But when the one rose above the rest... well he was my forerunner the entire time. Their chemistry was palpable from the start! I even got embarrassed a few times listening to spicy scenes to my car but this book was so good I didn't care. I enjoyed this book experience so much that I hated when it came to an end.

Wesleigh Siobhan was the perfect choice to bring this audiobook to life. She nails all the characters even the male ones. (Please tell me I not the only one who went crazy for the way she said "Nina?!")

Rounded up from 4.75 stars

I cannot stress enough how I loved this book. It was a great follow up to Plus Size Player and I loved how the storylines were concurrent. We gotto see Nina and all her men.. trying to juggle it all. Loved the narration by the great Wesleigh Siobhan,

OMG, this book was Amazing! The love & growth between Russ and Nina is soooo good!

Nina has her starting five and Russ just happens to be one of them or could he be THE one? And maybe - their paths cross more than they thought.

Beautifully written and super fun to read. Danielle Allen - you have done it again! When’s the next book?

Love love love! Nina knows exactly what she wants in life, work, and love until they all collide! I absolutely loved the first book in this series (this reads as a standalone), so I was super excited to listen to the next one! I love how the author uses body positivity, diversity, and girl power vibes in her books! I hope she continues this series, because the spice and the depth are actually there! And I loveeeeee Wesleigh Siobhan as a narrator so that's an automatic 10/10 for me!

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC!

Let me start by saying that Danielle Allen is really talented at creating compelling characters! I was on Team Nina the whole book, both in her career and her personal life. I also loved how this book (the second in the series) intertwined with the plot of the first book exceptionally well without giving away too much. If anyone accidentally reads #2 first, nothing will be spoiled.

The spice felt a little too frequent and lengthy for my personal taste (got kind of repetitive, to be honest), but if you're into spice, you're going to love this book! The romance was also really passionate, and I was cheering for Nina getting her HEA!

The narration was excellent yet again. It was a little disorienting at first to have the same narrator as for Curvy Girl Summer, but I got used to it and didn't notice it after a while.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for giving me the chance to listen to this ALC and provide my unbiased review!

I could not get my hands on this book fast enough after listening to Curvy Girl Summer! This friend group is truly something special. To top it off, anytime I see Wesleigh Siobhan as the narrator it's pretty much an instant listen. She's that great! She has such a dynamic style of narrating every book, it's easy to get immersed into the story. Nina's story really grabbed me immediately. She shows up for herself consistently, but really the cherry on top of it all is the way the MMC shows up for her every time and unapologetically. The spice was just right 🥵. Nina's story really left me inspired she truly always has the right words and doesn't let other people's foolishness keep her from speaking her mind.

I’m usually not a fan of single POV romances, but Danielle Allen got me with Curvy Girl Summer, so I HAD to dive into book two. This was such a fun read! I loved that this book takes place at the same time as book one. It’s like seeing what was happening on the other side of the phone when Aaliyah was talking to Nina. The chemistry between Nina and Russ is evident as soon as we meet him. They definitely go through some situations, and at times Russ had me second guessing him.

I adored the relationship Nina has with her mom—I looked forward to their conversations every time Nina called her.

This audiobook is narrated by Wesleigh Siobhan and she is giving us a full cast!

Overall highly recommended!!

I received an ALC of this book, and Wesleigh Siobhan absolutely killed it—no surprise there. Her voice was a perfect fit for the main characters, and her range with the supporting cast made the listening experience even better.

Right from the start, I was hooked, especially when we met the main character’s parents. I loved them—her dad was the ultimate provider, making sure she was taken care of, while her mom encouraged her to take her time and grow into herself rather than rushing into anything. It was refreshing to see that kind of support instead of the usual parental pressure to settle down.

Nina was goals—confident, unapologetic, and secure in herself, her abilities, and her body. No matter what anyone said, she stood firm in her beliefs and decisions, always ready with a witty comeback. I admired how she built a career out of her passion and authenticity. The male main character frustrated me a few times, but he still earned a spot on my book boyfriend list.

My only gripe? The ending didn’t feel like enough after everything that led up to it—an epilogue would’ve been perfect. But overall, I loved this book, and it’s still a solid 5-star read for me!

Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for this ARC!

Plus Size Player is another delicious rom-com from Danielle Allen! I loved Curvy Girl Summer, but I enjoyed Plus Size Player even more. Nina and Russ' chemistry was through the roof! Wesleigh Siobhan did a great job of portraying both Nina and Russ. I could feel the tension and connection between them through the narration. I loved how they grew from a fling to a recurring hookup to being exclusive. I loved the way that Russ stood up for and supported Nina at every point in the novel, while acknowledging that she can do the same on her own. The forbidden romance aspect of this story was also super fun to read! This book is very spicy, but I really think the scenes elevated the chemistry between Russ and Nina. I'm not sure if Danielle Allen has more books planned in this series, but if she does, I will definitely be picking them up! I'd rate this 4.25 stars, rounded up!

I enjoyed seeing a strong female main character who knows what she's worth, went after what she wanted. She was a bit of a player and khe kept a whole roster of men, but it was cute seeing her realize that one of them had everything she needed

I absolutely ADORED this audiobook. The narrators were perfect and the book the was even better.

I loved how unapologetically real Nina was. The way the book dealt with fatphobia was so refreshing -- Nina never shut down or questioned how beautiful or worthy she was or changed how she carried herself despite all the negative rhetoric that came her way. She was hilarious and fresh and confident and just all around so self-assured in who she was, what she wanted, what she deserved. She never once questioned her identity or self-worth which was so nice to read/hear.

And my M-A-N Russ??? EXQUISITE. Just fine as hell and just as confident. He was such a strong counter-part to an already strong female lead. He took care of her but in the way that it only complimented the way she already took care of herself. He wasn't a knight in shining armor for her, he was more of a reinforcement and reminder of who she is. And who she is, is That Girl.

I absolutely loved everything about this book. Danielle Allen I was not familiar with your game, but I am now and I am OBSESSED.

This book joined my all time favorite list!!! What a breath of fresh air.

Nina knows exactly what she wants, and like to keep her options open in both her career and dating life. Until she gets a big opportunity for her career and one of her dating options may be the one.
Will she take the leap and how will it go?

OMGGGGG I LOVE NINA SO MUCH. Her confidence. Her passion. Her commitment. She doesn't allow no one to cross her boundaries and knows how to put people in their place. Danielle Allen's body positivity and self-love is so well done and I applaud her for writing such a powerful female main character.

Nina and the male main character's relationship is top tier. Their banter and conversations are amazing. Their chemistry is off the chart! The communication is out of this world.

The narrator Wesleigh Siobhan brought Nina and the story to life. The audiobook is prefect. I highly recommend it! Going to listen to Curvy girl summer now.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio for providing me with an ALC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was such a sweet and heartwarming story. It’s rare to see plus-sized women not only loved correctly but also fully in control of their own romantic journey, and this book delivered on that beautifully. I adored the tenderness woven throughout and the balance of spice in the intimate moments. That said, the story did feel a bit drawn out, and the drama was on the tamer side—not necessarily a bad thing, just not as gripping as I had hoped.
