"Welcome to West Street" is a book about abuse, betrayal and murder.. Amanda escapes her abusive marriage while Mike is away in China. She takes her 2 kids with her to move to this lovely cul de sac in West Street. But all is not as it seems, and the people are not who they appear to be...
I gave the book 4 stars because the book is well written, enticing and a real page turner with an explosive ending you won't see coming. However it did seem to drag on in the middle until something happened so that's why I deducted a star!

Amanda moves to West Street where she lives in constant fear that her abusive husband, Mike, will find her and their two children. She hopes to keep their whereabouts a secret until divorce papers and a restraining order are in place. Amanda tries to keep her distance from her neighbors on West Street, but they seem determined to get to know her and learn her story. Amanda regrets spilling her story to Caroline who she is sure has told all the other neighbors. When Amanda's son disappears, she makes a desperate return to the old family home, after which Mike turns up dead, and Amanda may face arrest.
This story had a lot of twists and turns, most of them improbably or completely unbelievable. I did not find any of the characters particularly likeable and was a bit disappointed in the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

"Welcome! I hope you'll be happy here," I say, standing on the doostep and holding out a freshly baked cake. Amanda smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes. The new arrivals to West Street clearly have secrets. But that's ok. Because so do I ...
Caroline twitches aside her curtains to see the new family moving in. A mother - beautifully dressed in expensive clothes - and two young children. Where is her husband, she wonders? But Caroline believes it's important to be welcoming. It;'s important to know everything that's happening in West Street.
Amanda unpacks another box and breathes a shaky sigh. Her son is refusing to speak. Her daughter misses her friends. But we're safe Amanda tells herself. West Street is peaceful. Anonymous. Nobody knows who she is.... do they?
Amanda and her two children move into a house that needs some TLC. Her husband, Mike, is not happy that she's left him and that's making things difficult for her. West Street is a tight-knit neighbourhood, but there are lots of secrets being kept.
It did take me a few chapters to get into this book. The characters were typical nosey neighbours, the pace was fast in this twisted read. Amanda's son got on my nerves. I felt the ending was far-fetched.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope, published by Bookouture
Well, there was some drama and backstabbing in this novel, it was excellent. Easy to get into and didn't want to put it down. Loved (or hated) the characters, they were well described, I liked how they interacted with each other. The setting was great. I liked the journey the author took us on, story was told primarily by 2 of the main characters. I was surprised by who they actually were and what they had done as the story progressed. It was a fun read. Amanda's son was atrocious, and I'm sure most readers wanted to do some major discipline.
I've read several books by Nicole Trope and will continue to pick up her books. This is well worth the read.

⚠️TRIGGER WARNINGS: Domestic violence and brief mention of child loss.
Thank you @bookouture and @nicoletropeauthor for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This is my second Nicole Trope book and WILL NOT be my last. This is your typical domestic thriller! If you're a Freida McFadden lover, you need to check out this author. ! She had me hooked from the VERY beginning. I knew I had to know what was going to happen next. The plot was so well written that I felt like I was watching it on a movie screen. And let me tell you about these twists and turns. There were so many times my jaw was to the floor through this book. I HIGHLY recommend checking this book out when it releases on 4/22. You will NOT be disappointed!

WOW, The ending had a big surprise I didn’t expect!
Would I Recommend It?
Yes, if you like stories with mystery, danger, and surprises, this is a good book to read.

haha this book was fab. a domestic thriller with a touch or two of over the top crazees to it. but the type that when this is done well its just hits the perfect spot and finds its place nicely within the genre.
i couldnt wait to keep reading this book and finding out both the plot as it unfolds and how it does so with all the characters and their secrets.
Amanda has come to West street from a previously beautiful home. but she had to leave her abusive husband and come somewhere that she could hide. and to this derelict street she arrives. its seems ok. it will have to be. but behind all the doors lies people with their own issues to hide. and busy body Caroline who turns up with a cake is one such person. she seems finds if a little nosy...doesnt she? nope! read on everyone you are in for a wild ride.
Nicola tells this story so well. its was excellent and i wanted to know more every page i read.

Quick read with a fast paced story that I finished in a few hours. I struggled with the parts that involved the kids and while I can see why it was included in the story, it wasn’t a good part for me. The dual story lines of Caroline and Amanda were fun to read! Thanks to #NetGalley for this free copy of #WelcomeToWestStreet for my opinion of the book.

Amanda and her two children just moved to West Street to escape Amanda’s abusive husband while he is away on a work trip in China. She also received an anonymous text implying her husband was having an affair, so now she is planning her exit. Her new neighbors are Caroline, Mary, and Gemma who seem tight knit and full of their own drama and secrets. Amanda’s son, Jordan, is already causing problems in the neighborhood rebelling against his mother, screaming at her and his video games until late into the evening. He insists on going to live with his father; meanwhile, he is treating Amanda horribly just like his father did.
The secrets start to catch up with the 4 ladies on West Street, someone goes missing, and someone is murdered.
Personally, I love Nicole Trope’s writing style. This book was an easy to follow, compulsive read for me. There were a couple interesting twists and I enjoy the multiple points of view. I’d give this book a 3.55/5 because it definitely could have been more thrilling, but I also wanted more of a backstory from all the 4 main lady characters in this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoture for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

My first book by this author and I enjoyed it! I love a good twisty thriller and this one was fantastic. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author!

Wow! A neighborhood where everyone knows TOO much! Amanda just wants to be anonymous and get through her divorce. I didn’t know who to trust in this one, and couldn’t wait to see what would happen! What a great thriller!

I could not stop reading this book! I found myself sneaking away at work just to read a couple more pages! This brought back memories of watching Desperate Housewives on Sunday evenings.
This is about a wife leaving her abusive husband.... who winds up dead meanwhile her child goes missing.
As someone who reads twisty thrillers non-stop, I'm normally very good at spotting what the twist will be. This had a couple of twist that I even I didn't see coming.
This is written in multiple perspectives. I found myself rushing through the other characters that weren't Amanda and racing to get back to hers. She is a very likable character.
Any fans of Hendricks and Pekkanen's Wife Between Us or Liv Constantine's The Last Mrs. Parrish will love this book!

Lived this book and I feel very fortunate to have been able to read it early, so many turns I had whiplash by the end. Not the ending I was expecting at all. Highly recommend

I received a complementary ARC of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the author and the publisher.
This one pulled me in right from the first page. It was full of some really great twists and had a bunch of unexpected things happen to Amanda, who is trying to escape a terrible marriage. The neighbors in the small cul-de-sac that she's moved herself and her kids to hide away from the abusive husband who is returning from China on a business trip. But she makes the mistake of trusting and confiding in one of the women who is now her neighbor, which she regrets immediately. She's not even sure why but she ha the feeling that she's said too much. This book is a fast paced domestic thriller!

Five Stars from start to finish! Totally addictive and full of twist and turns. This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. The secrets and lies that come out had me hooked!

This is an OK thriller. Maybe good for readers starting out in thriller genre. Amanda moves into West Street with her two children, but is this a good street to move to?
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoutre for ARC.

Nicole Trope has once again proven that she’s an exceptional storyteller and a master of psychological tension. Her ability to weave a gripping narrative that demands your full attention is nothing short of remarkable. Be warned: once you start this book, you won’t be able to put it down—it will completely hijack your day in the best way possible.
As a lifelong lover of thrillers, I can confidently say this story stands in a league of its own. It's hauntingly original and thought-provoking and pulses with an undercurrent of poetic justice that will have you questioning everything—from the people you trust to the very weight of your words. It challenges your moral compass and stirs a quiet reckoning with the lessons we think we’ve learned from the past.
This is not just a book—it’s an experience. One that will leave you reeling long after the final page. I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who loves thrillers, twisty narratives, or stories that demand introspection.
Honestly, if this book had included a hundred extra pages describing how consumed I was by the story, I would’ve devoured those too. That’s how good it is.

This is a real rollercoaster of a ride. If you love a book that you can’t put down, I would highly recommend this book.
I loved the pace and fear that was created. The only thing that stopped 5 stars for me was the ending. It was a little predictable and speedy. But otherwise, a highly entertaining read.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me an advanced copy of this title for my review.

Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope is a highly recommended psychological thriller. It must be said that Nicole Troupe can be relied upon to always write a page-turner.
Amanda and her two children have moved into a house, sight unseen, in an attempt to escape her abusive husband. Her husband Mike is abroad on business and will return home to find divorce papers. Amanda's son Jordan, 11, is angry and yelling about the situation while her daughter Kiera, 9, is usually happy but struggling, missing her friends. Amanda is sure that this is the safest place for them to be.
Caroline, a neighbor, is watching the new family's every move. They have secrets on their street and like to keep things quiet. She also likes to have readily available for her use all the information about everyone. Now she needs to find out the secret behind the new family moving to their street.
This is another fast paced, twisty, domestic psychological thriller that will hold your complete attention throughout. It is full of characters with secrets and you won't know who to trust. It becomes clear that things may not be what they seem to be but the question about what is really going on isn't answered until the shocking ending.
The narrative unfolds through the point-of-view of Amanda and Caroline. You can feel Amanda's pain and fear over what is going to happen. Caroline is a completely different character who comes across as cool as a cucumber but with something to hide. The reliability of all the characters will be in question at some point during the novel.
You may have to suspend disbelief a time or two, but the drama and twists in Welcome to West Street will be worth it. Thanks to Bookouture for providing me with an advance reader's copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary and expresses my honest opinion.
The review will be published on Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

This is the kind of thriller that hooks you immediately and doesn’t let up. Amanda moves to West Street looking for peace, but from day one, something feels off. The neighbors are just a little too curious, always watching, always asking questions—and that quiet suburban vibe quickly turns claustrophobic. Nicole Trope nails that creeping unease where even small talk feels threatening.
The pacing is tight—no filler, just a steady build of tension and twists that genuinely caught me off guard. Amanda is a strong, believable protagonist, and the emotional layers in her story gave the suspense real weight.
The ending was satisfying, smart, and hit all the right notes. I flew through this in a day.
Fans of domestic thrillers with psychological edge, buried secrets, and overly friendly neighbors who might be hiding something will love this.
