Such a cute addition to the series! I loved the characters, their romance and of course the banter! Once again I would have liked more magic from the building but overall, and adorable closed door romance

I really enjoyed this book! LOVED the Sophie and Peter and getting to revisit with Willa and Archer. There were times that it was a little slow, but it picked up on the back end and was really good! Lots of "talking in their heads" as my sister calls it. I loved how Sophie and Peter had to get out of their comfort zones. I really really loved the epilogue. I wish Allison and ???? could get their own book.

THANK YOU ARC Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for this advanced copy.

I am obsessed with the Only Magic In the Building series, and have so much fun reading them as they have been released. Sophie and Peter had the best friendship, it was written so well. Jenny Proctor did an amazing job with her installment in this series. I loved it! Thank you to NetGalley and Jenny Proctor for the opportunity to read this!

This story was set in front of a beautiful backdrop-The Serendipity's rooftop garden and I just loved getting to know Sophie-who tends the garden- and her best friend Peter. Watching the two of them figure out their relationship was fun and inspiring.

Honestly, friends to more will get me... Every. Time. It is by far one of my favorite story arcs to read.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this book!

This was so cute, the plot was fun and unique and I really liked the characters. I didn't love how heavily it relied on the miscommunication trope though that gets annoying fast

I didn’t initially realize this book was part of a series collaboration between multiple authors but they include enough backstory to not feel like you’re missing part of the equation thankfully. Petals and Plot Twists reads like a hot tea on a chilly day: warm and comfortable. Peter and Sophie transition well from childhood best friends to their relationship and I liked that it didn’t immediately go into physical intimacy but continued to build emotional intimacy within their new dynamic. Overall it was an enjoyable, light read.

Thank you Victory Editing for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I love friends-to-lovers stories and this was such a fantastic one! Sophie and Peter were lovely and watching them evolve from their friendship to much more was a wonderful journey. Loved it!

A sweet friends-to-lovers story! The romance was cozy and whimsical, and I was glad it was dual POV so you got to hear from both Sophie and Peter about how their relationship had evolved and changed over the years of their friendship. This would be a great beach/pool day book to enjoy in a single sitting.

Read if you like: A little bit of magic, closed-door romance, he falls first

Thanks to Netgalley and Victory Editing for providing me with a copy of the book.

The story of Sophie and Peter, best friend who live at the Serendipity. I liked how it was told from both points of view and look forward to the next books in this series.

This book! First of all, thank you for the arc! This is only the second book in the series I’ve read and I’m obsessed. I love the Serendipity’s shenanigans, pushing couples together. It is so fun and I really enjoyed Sophie and Peter’s story. Their friends to lovers romance was truly amazing. If you’re looking for he falls first and harder, friends to lovers, everyone sees it but them, or even just a sweet romance, pick up this book!

When I learned Jenny Proctor had a book in the Only Magic in the Building series, I knew I had to read it. Friends to lovers is one of my least favorite tropes, but Jenny Proctor does it so well—I just loved Sophie and Peter!

Sophie has a talent for growing plants and is responsible for the lovely rooftop garden at The Serendipity, but when it comes to love, her talent lies in picking the wrong guy. When a rare flower that only blooms in the presence of true love appears in the rooftop garden, she enlists her best friend, Peter, to help her use the flower to find her soulmate. What follows is a delightful and often hilarious journey as Sophie discovers that her soulmate has been there all along.

Men falling first is becoming one of my favorite things, and Peter fell hard for Sophie. I loved how the magic in the building caused problems so Peter had to crash at Sophie's while his apartment was rewired. I don't think she would've looked at him as more than a friend if it hadn't been for the forced proximity. How did she miss what a catch that man was for so long?

Peter is the perfect best friend—steady, supportive, and, as it turns out, maybe something more. The chemistry between Sophie and Peter is undeniable, and I was rooting for them from the beginning. He was patient while Sophie learned to trust her heart and believe in herself.

If you enjoy sweet, lighthearted romances with a sprinkle of magic, this is a must-read. It’s a feel-good story that will leave you smiling long after the final page. I received a copy from the publisher, Jenny Proctor Creative, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

This was a very beautiful love story. It’s got the friend to lovers trope which is one of my personal favourites. I loved the way the two characters learnt to overcome their inhibitions and embrace what was in front of them all this time. It was very well written with both main characters exuding green flag energy.

Peter is an absolute sweetheart and I love reading about stories where there’s a lot of respect and admiration that the main characters have for each other without unnecessary plots like betrayal, miscommunication or silly antics to incite jealousy. These two shared a beautiful friendship since childhood and it was so apparent in the story with the way they understood each other. The moments between the two as friends and as they got conflicted with their feelings for one another were very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Overall it just had a lot of positivity.

This makes me incredibly sad but at about 50% I just can’t use my time to keep going. I typically love. Jenny Proctor’s books but there is something about this one that is rubbing me the wrong way. I’m really really hoping that after a break for a while I may want to come back to try again!

As a huge Jenny Proctor fan, I was so excited to read this book! It did not disappoint and was so cute! Sophie and Peter's friendship is written so beautifully, and the way their relationship evolves is perfect. I can't wait to read the rest of the books the Only Magic in the Building series.

Thank you netgalley for and arc of Petals and Plot Twists by Jenny Proctor

4.5 stars
Ahh, this was the cutest book. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it because sometimes friends to lovers can be hard but I adored this story. Petals and Plot Twists is the third book in The Only Magic in the Building series.
I adored Sophie and Peter. They had such a sweet relationship and they really understood each other. I felt for Sophie as she tried to figure out her life and her hopes for the future. Peter was a sweetheart as he tried to figure out his own life while supporting Sophie. I like how they stood by each other and tried to help each other out.
The romance was sweet and fit them both. They were just friends but were both hoping for more. I felt like their interactions and feelings made sense especially as they were scared to lose the other person. There were times when Sophie frustrated me because I wanted her to see Peter, but I grew to understand her.
This was a fun book and I would totally recommend it! I am loving this series and I can’t wait to read the next book. Petals and Plot Twists is a closed door romantic comedy.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

First of all I’d like to thank NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book before release!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a book.

Sophie and Peter have been best friends for years. However Peter has been hiding a secret from Sophie… he’s been in love with her for years and can’t bring himself to tell her. When green finger Sophie spots a blooming flower that she has never seen before she’s instantly curious. She finds out that the flower also holds a secret… the flower blooms for couples in love. Which is great, right?

With Sophie feeling like she is the problem in relationships, she decides to make a plan, to find her soulmate.

This book gave me all the cosy, cutesy vibes needed. Jenny Proctor is an amazing author. The book is written to absolute perfection. My kind of book.
