This is just a kit for book clubs—please note that the book itself is not included. I’m really excited to dive into the book and can’t wait to start reading!

I thought the book was included with this but the content for book clubs is great. I will keep an eye out for the book and this would be a great supplement

I can't give feedback to this one. Because all i'm getting is a kit.I'm not actually getting a book.
When I download to my, net gallery shelf. There's nothing but a kit with photos. There's no book, so i'm not sure about this one. My apologies

I was delighted to get an email about this book club kit for a book I recently read and loved. If my book clubs were reading this book - especially one I help lead - I know it would be a hit.

Even still, I got a lot out of reviewing it myself. The author interview was insightful. The bookmarks - brilliant. I thought about my answers to the questions. One change I'd suggest would be to put the author's questions first. I think that would flow best. And I have bookmarked some of the recipes to try.

Please make more of these, because I would absolutely love to find one for the books that were voted in by my clubs!

This book club kit has everything you could ask for! From what to serve to eat/drink, an interview with the author, cute printable bookmarks, discussion questions, activities (that murder mystery one though!), a word search, and books to read next, it’s an all-in-one kit for your next book club!

the book club kits are brilliant. and i know its meant to be for that specific purpose but actually i think the book club kits are great for avid readers too. or for those times you love a book or cant stop thinking about a book. the questions help you sort it all out in your own head. and of course these questions are brilliant starters for the conversations round the book club group. also the interviews both individual and book clubs will get great insight from. the what to read next resource is such a genius idea. im always using this sentence on google and am overjoyed when this function on goodread comes up with a new similar author or book for me. so to have this round the book club table is a great idea. it all sparks more ideas and discussion. and i really think both book club and the individual will love these added extra kits.

This is a wonderful book club kit from WeAreBookish - I really enjoyed this book when I read it last year and so it was a great experience to reflect on it using the questions from the kit as prompts. I also found the author interview informative and the recommendations in the “what to read next” section very accurate with thoughtful thematic similarities highlighted!

This is my first time reviewing a book club kit so I do have to admit that I'm not sure what most kits include but I loved this one! I loved reading the author interview. I've never read any of her work but it made me want to read this book and maybe even something else of hers. I loved the printable bookmarks, I feel like we don't have fun things like that anymore in a world of digital downloads. The word search is cute and the recipes and game ideas were awesome. This kit really made me want to start a book club or be part of one who has fun like this! I always thought book clubs were boring and all anyone did was sit around and discuss boring books but I had no idea they could be something like this!

This kit was really great.
The ideas and extra made it very special and the book club more interesting than just simply talking about the book.
From the Trigger Warnings to the book marks and recipes and the activity ideas. Great!
The interview and questions were also great but seen that many times before which made it less special but still a must have for a book club discussion.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Breaking the Dark" by Lisa Jewell and would give it a solid 4-star rating! The mystery woven throughout the story was anything but predictable—it was a thrilling ride filled with supernatural elements and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat. The introduction of the detective's unique abilities added an intriguing layer to the narrative, making it nearly impossible for me to guess the outcome. Each twist and turn drew me deeper into the plot, and I was constantly surprised by where the story led. For those who appreciate thrillers featuring morally complex female protagonists, this book is a must-read. If you’re unfamiliar with Jessica Jones, have you been living under a sunshine covered rock? She is the ultimate dark and twisty morally gray the world sucks but I am going to still work towards helping it quasi-superhero. This book absolutely served that energy! Overall, "Breaking the Dark" is a compelling supernatural thriller that I highly recommend to fans of the genre!

I also recently had the pleasure of exploring the book club kit for "Breaking the Dark" by Lisa Jewell, and I must say, it is an absolute game-changer for any book club! This kit is packed with fantastic resources that will elevate your reading experience and make planning a breeze. One of the standout features is the amazing author interview, where Lisa Jewell shares her insights and inspirations behind the story. It adds a personal touch that will spark engaging conversations among club members. The leading discussion questions are thoughtfully crafted, encouraging deep dives into the plot and characters, making it easy to facilitate meaningful discussions. Additionally, the inclusion of activities like a murder mystery party is a brilliant idea! It brings an interactive element to the book club, allowing members to immerse themselves in the suspenseful world Jewell has created. And let’s not forget the "Bites and Sips" section—it offers delicious snack and drink pairings that perfectly complement the themes of the book, making your gathering even more enjoyable. Overall, this book club kit is a comprehensive and thoughtful resource that simplifies the planning process and enhances the overall experience of reading "Breaking the Dark." I can't wait to implement these ideas at our next meeting! Highly recommend it to all book clubs looking to enrich their discussions and have a blast while doing so!

This book club kit would make a great addition to any meeting on Breaking the Dark by Lisa Jewell. I liked that it included a wide variety of activities including discussion questions, bookmarks and food and drink ideas which made it much more interactive and gave some ideas of how to host a really engaging book club meeting,

I thought the interview with Lisa Jewell was fascinating and I always find it interesting to get a glimpse into the writing process from authors. Personally I've never really got into Marvel so this book doesn't overly appeal to me but I can see the fusion of Marvel as well as crime fiction being a lot of peoples cup of tea.

Overall this is another great book club kit and I can see a lot of people really enjoying this book!

I was interested in this as I saw Lisa Jewell discussing this book at an in-person event prior to publication, and I read and thoroughly enjoyed Breaking The Dark. I’ve also advised various authors on bonus content and book clubs discussion questions.

This book club kit is fine, the Q&A with Lisa Jewell my favourite part, the ads for other books my least favourite. Some recommended further reading, choice Lisa Jewell titles and other books looking at similar themes as Breaking The Dark would be nice.

I’m not sure how this kit will be made available to the public? As a free download or bonus content in a special edition it would be great, but I certainly wouldn’t pay money for it.

Thanks to Netgalley and We Are Bookish
