It's a beautifully written novel. The problem comes in the entertainment factor. There isn't much storytelling to speak of. Honestly, it was another DNF for me.

Has Pierpont ever been around kids? From the book it doesn't sound like it. I finished the book, its easy to read when you might get distracted like on a plane.

When I saw this recommended for fans of Curtis Sittenfeld, I knew I was in for a treat. The dynamics of an American family are superbly rendered in Pierpont's debut. Well done!

A sad story about a family that falls apart after the husband's infidelity.

The premise of this book seemed like something I would like but I found the characters on all sides a bit skeevy and ultimately could not finish the title.
