This fantasy book was so good! The story was very well written and I loved the magic and fantasy in this book! I highly recommend!

The protagonist, Ash, is a human woman marked by a dragon, a symbol of destiny that comes with both power and danger. As she navigates her newfound abilities and the complex relationships within the dragon world, she encounters a dragon king named Kamen. Kamen is both powerful and tortured, struggling with his own responsibilities as a leader of his kind. Their relationship grows intense as they become entangled in the fate of the dragons and the future of their world. However, some readers may find the pacing a bit slow in places, especially when it comes to the development of the romance. While the story introduces a great deal of intrigue and mystery, it might take a while to fully grasp the extent of the world-building and the characters' relationships. Overall, Dragon Marked is an enjoyable read for fans of paranormal romance and urban fantasy. The romance is steamy, the stakes are high, and the dragons add an exciting mythical element.

This was such a good book! I loved every single moment of it. The cover is what hooked me at first and it definitely did not disappoint!

Rich and well developed fantasy world that see,s just at the tip of your fingers it is so real. Merrill finally gets his story, and no surprise that it is full of adventure, action, suspense, and dragons! Plus of course some very sizzling slow burn as he meets his mats. The invisible Entity blasts into the story, what the heck is it? And will it finally be defeated? Many tense and emotional moments, a must read!

Thank you to the publisher, NetGalley, and Donna Grant for this arc in exchange for an honest review!
This book ultimately fell a little flat for me. It was slow at first and difficult to get into, but it picked up a little further than the halfway mark. The world-building was excellent; I was not confused at all about where we were, who the characters were, or the plot/setting, which is super common when reading any type of fantasy book.
A big part of what makes me love a book is whether or not I connect with the characters, and, unfortunately, I was not able to connect with them in this book. I felt like every character had the same personality and felt the same emotions. This is where the book fell really flat for me because I felt like I was reading the same character over and over.
The romance between the main characters was adorable, but I just wished there was more action and emotion overall.

Ah! So damn good! I loved every second of it and I loved the romance between the main characters! The fight scenes were very descriptive and it felt like I was watching a movie. Highly recommend, especially if you are just getting into Romantasy and don't know where to start!

Dragon Marked.
I read this book as a standalone and it is worth stating it is the tenth book in a series. Although this is clearly reflected in the already founded relationships within the book, I was really impressed with how well it read as a standalone.
The breakdown of descriptions at the beginning of the book was incredibly helpful and the history was covered well at the start of the book so I didn’t feel like I had missed anything too crucial.
This is a good book in which Merrill and Katla (both holding themselves accountable with guilt and remorse) end up working together to take down Villette. The spice was A*.
Their time together is them helping each other accept and heal from the past.
I did find some aspects of this a tad repetitive, but I understand that this story is somewhat of a redemption for both of the MCs and this was an important part of their journey.

Such a fun one, forbidden secrets, a shared enemy, and an impossible connection. I loved every part of this and can't wait for more.

I loved the balance of action and emotion! I couldn’t put my kindle down, and will think about selling this in my bookshop! Donna’s writing is enrapturing, I felt as though I was there with the characters.

Donna Grant's mesmerizing paranormal romance, "Dragon Marked", kept me hooked late into the night, eager to uncover what happens next.
The story brims with thrilling challenges and deeply emotional moments that will captivate both romantics and adventurers alike.
Mirrell, an empathetic and powerful Dragon King, and Kayla, a compassionate and beautiful Druid, are irresistibly drawn to each other from their very first encounter. With every turn of the page, their bond deepens as they help one another heal from past traumas.
Fans of the series will also appreciate the appearances of other Dragon Kings and their mates, whose stories were featured in earlier books. These characters play supportive roles that enrich the narrative of this exceptionally well-written tale.
Donna Grant masterfully concludes the story with a deeply satisfying happily ever after.
A special thank you to DL Grant LLC for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Dragon Marked by Donna Grant is Book 9 of the Dragon Kings Series. I have not read any of the first 8 books in this series; however, Grant did an excellent job of looping me into the world and story so that I didn’t feel lost. The first half of the book was spent developing the 2 main characters, Katla and Merrill, as well their backstories and the unique setting. The second half was when the plot and action picked up and the book became a page turner for me.
I would highly recommend this book to fantasy lovers and kinda wished I had read the series from the beginning. There is a splash of romance hinting at where Katla and Merrill’s relationship will lead but this book is definitely more plot driven.
Lastly, I want to thank DL Grant, LLC and the author Donna Grant for providing this eARC to me through NetGalley.
At the end of the ARC, the author requests that review be posted on release day April 15, 2025.
On that day I will post this review to Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads, and my Boookstagram account @BooksByTheGarden.
Prior to that time I will reshare posts by the author.

So... I may be the odd one out here but I did not enjoy this book. I was very excited to get approval for it and dove straight in only to get slapped in the face with the most boring info dump that is first 30% of this book. I literally had to force myself to read at least 10% of the book per day in order to finish it. This book is part of a series but I was under the impression that it could act as a standalone which I guess you can say that but in my case it wasn't very successful. Perhaps if I had read the other books, this would have a higher rating, but I found it to be boring and depressing on repeat. You would have one chapter that wails about Katla's sadness and regrets then the next chapter would be Merrill's sadness and regrets. Only to follow up with another chapter from the other dragon kings' POV about Merrill's and Katla's shared sadness and regrets. The relationship development didn't really make much sense to me and seemed a bit far-fetched. Sadly, it was a miss for me and now I feel like I need to pop a Prozac just to shake of the woe is me melancholy of this book.

Enjoyed this one. Haven't read all the others in the series but wasn't lost. Struggled a bit with the names, but might just be me. Really like this author and her writings and would recommend this one.

A beautiful continuation of a story line, filled with found family, redemption and fated mates. I loved the opportunity afforded to both the main characters in their redemption arc, but wish it had come with a bit more of their self-acceptance of their redemption, however I know there is another book coming in the series in which the opportunity may present itself. Overall, I would have loved more overall development with Kalta's powers, I felt her finding her powers felt a bit flat and would have loved to see more of her blossoming powers throughout the story. The book has a singular open door spicy scene, but it is well done and making you wish for more. The story does end in a slight cliffhanger, but thankfully the next book come out in July. I would recommend this as a quick, intriguing read for the fantasy lover.

Wow, just Wow!
This book is the continuation of Donna Grant’s Dragon Kings series. Our featured dragon Is Merrill, whom we heard talked about in her earlier Dark Kings series. In this story we learn how much Merrill has taken on over the millenniums. But hiding inside he is becoming more and more angry, enough so that he has distanced himself from the other dragons and the Kings. Wandering on Zora, he chances to see a woman who he feels he must meet. The woman is Katia, who help the evil Villette in her quest to destroy all dragons. With this setting up an incredibly interesting story which also brings in other characters that have been featured in prior books.
Dragon Marked is an excellent book, but if you haven’t read at least the prior books in the Dragon Kings series, you may not understand or appreciate all that is happening. But…if the storyline sounds interesting, start reading because every book builds on the ones before. Donna Grant has created and entire Dark Universe encompassing Celtic Warriors, Druids, Fae, Reapers, and Dragons. For the most enjoyment start at the very beginning with her Warriors series. I cannot wait for the next book in any of her series!
I was given an ARC through NetGalley, and this is my honest opinion.

It's pretty embarrassing to admit that when I first chose this book, I was unaware it was part of a series. However, I felt privileged to read this book. I have a deep fondness for dragons
I loved this book as my first book from NetGalley. It was like a dream come true!
I was concerned I might struggle to engage with it because I didn't read the previous books, but my worries were unfounded.
I found it easy to follow the plot and adored the setting, not to mention the dragons. This story is so enchanting that I’m eager to read the rest of the series now. I would recommend it to any enthusiastic fan of fantasy or romantasy.
I will certainly explore more works by this author.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
Nowhere does it say this is book 9 in a series!! 💀 HA! I’m dead! Welp, though this is part of series, I still kept on reading and it ended up being like a stand alone! So that was nice!
However, I feel like as a reader, I should have read the previous books just so I have a better visual of characters, plot, and world building. I think I would have appreciated the greatness behind it! 😊❤️
The world building was FLAWLESS nonetheless! It was easy to imagine, simple yet complex, and the author gives you a visual for returning readers or new!
I do have to say…if you were hoping for ROMANTIC romance…you came to the wrong place. This romance is on an emotional level that will pull at your heartstrings and make you feel everything! The possessive dragon is a plus! 😮💨🤌🏼😍 Not only for yourself but for the characters!
I do wish there was some comedy mixed in with some banter from these characters…? I felt like it felt rushed almost. It did FEEEEEL like an enemies to lovers story. Like maybe the authors heart was just trying to put closure on some characters or side story from the series…? But I wouldn’t know cuz this is the only book I read! 🤷♀️
Also, Merrill darling, you need to TAKE your own emotional advice that you give others.
But again, we are being told the emotions, I wasn’t seeing them act them out soooo.

A very good read, would definitely recommend to anyone is is a lover of fantasy, dragons, and romance.
May be worth it to read the other books in the series for a little more background on Katla, but can also totally be read as a standalone.

Love these dragon kings. This was Merrill and Katlas story! It was a good one, but then I haven’t read a bad one yet! Follow them as they set out to redeem themselves and maybe find love while they do!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

Dragon Market by Donna Grant is such a good story. I really enjoyed every second of this story. Such an amazing experience reading it!
