A father paints his toenails purple and describes how his family reacts to it. Children can count the toes, find them hidden in the picture, and follow the toes throughout their day. I did not particularly enjoy this book, but I think that children will likely find it silly and like pointing out the toes on each page as they learn about how it's okay for everyone to paint their toes.

This is a superb book suitable for young children to teach them how each member of a family reacts when their father decides to paint his toenails purple.
It explores different reactions, like finding the nails funny, embarrassing, outrageous, but lessons youngsters need to learn when confronted with something out of the ordinary.
