This book is for both amateur and professional singers and the general perspective is being in touch with your voice and love for singing and bringing it out.
I expected more and specific tips and exercises, but I still got a lot of value out of it and found the approach interesting.

The book was not what I was expecting which is a positive and a negative of sorts. I was kind of disappointed because from the title I thought there would be actual exercises to help with the singing aspect. I kept waiting for it but it never came. On the other hand, this was a deep dive into finding yourself and your inner voice which can be applied to things other than singing. It was a pleasant surprise and I found myself highlighting quite a few lines.

How to Sing Without Thinking isn’t just for singers—it’s a wonderfully written guide to getting out of your own way and trusting your inner voice, whether literal or metaphorical. It blends vocal technique with personal insight in a way that felt refreshing and completely unpretentious. I especially appreciated how it wove in deeper themes about resistance, mindset, and self-awareness. Even as someone who doesn’t sing professionally, I found myself underlining so many lines that hit home. It’s one of those books that lingers with you long after the last page.

Y’all, this book is like a spiritual spa day for your voice—and your brain! 🎤✨ I thought I was picking up a singing manual, but BAM, next thing I know, I’m having breakthroughs about life, creativity, and why I overthink everything. 😂 It’s deep without being boring, smart without being snobby, and totally lit a fire under my butt to start singing more and doubting less. Whether you sing in the shower or on a stage, trust me—this book’s got magic. 🌈🗣️📘
