Sing for Me is a formulaic love story. I requested it because of its musical summary. I found the romance to be fairly banal and standard for the genre. I feel like the story didn't know what it wanted to be when intertwining a supernatural angelic universe with music. Ultimately I had to slog through to the end and found the story to be forgettable. The novel is not bad, it just wasn't my cup of tea. 3 stars.

I really liked the cover and the story seemed interesting. But it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I did like most of the characters but the story was predictable and at times a bit boring. The writing was good though and I did enjoy reading it, but it could have been better.

I am double checking my work, and it seems like a lot of my original reviews never saved. The short go is this: Much better than I expected after seeing other reviews. Can't wait to see more in this series! Thanks, Netgalley!. But really, the characters were interesting, and motivated, the pacing was smooth, the romance was steamy, and the plot itself was captivating. I'll be seeing if I can find more by this author.

I looked and the cover and read the blurb, thats what got me to request this book.



However, only a handful of chapters in and I already wanted to give up on this book.



Everyone is doing a run through of the upcoming show. All seems to be moving slow until we finally get to the part where Madeline screams.



Quickly we find out that she is an angel, her guardian is a demon hunter and her friend wont remember any other this come morning.



Come morning and somehow Nataline remembers everything and we learn that she too has a gift.



What I cant stand about this book so far is the slow pace, lack of detail and that there is no connection to these characters.



Giving the book a second chance after a few days and I still couldnt get to the halfway mark. I still dont have any details on these characters. Why and how they are here. Whats to come. Etc.



I cant finish this book, and I was really hoping this would be an amazing read.
