The second installment in the trilogy felt somewhat lacking, as it predominantly focused on the relationship between two main characters without substantial development for others or their story arcs. This concentration on the central relationship was particularly underwhelming given the predictability of its progression from the outset. Additionally, this second book suffered from the absence of the novelty that characterized the first, where the characters took on roles such as agents of death, ferrymen of souls, and the Fates.

This is the second book in the Servants of Faith series by Sarah Fine. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, Marked, and looked forward to reading this follow up book. The first book focused on Cacia Ferry and Eli Margolis, and did a great job introducing us to all the characters and their places in the Afterlife. This installment focused on Eli's sister, Galena, a brilliant scientist, and Declan Ferry, Cacia's brother. When the two are sort of forced together, their not so hidden attractions to each other get a chance to play out, amid lots of stress and betrayal.
Claimed was a well written book with likeable characters and action that just kept going and kept me turning the page and on the edge of my seat. The world building was, again, phenomenally done.
I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to reading the third book in the series, Fated.
5/5 stars.

I read the novels out of order due to my own mistake (I read Fated first - the third book in the novel, which was by far the best). The Keres of this series are very similar to Death in the Sandman series and the tv series in Dead Like Me. I found this novel to be fast-paced, and it kept my interest until the very end. As the second book in the series, it was a bit bogged down in the details as the worldbuilding expanded. Overall I give Claimed 4 stars.

Second book in a series. Galena fights to clear her name while battling for her life. ARC from NetGalley.

I was hooked from the first few pages. This a great sequel to the first book in the series. Excellent character development and exciting and engaging story progression.

This went to my "can't keep going list" also known as my DNF list. I struggled to get through the first book and honestly, I wasn't faring much better with this one. It was just as tedious and unoriginal as the first one.

Thank you to NetGalley and 47 North for a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.
This was #2 in the Servants of Fate series and it did not disappoint! I easily picked up the story where it left off and fell right back into the world of the Ferry's. This time we follow Galena Margolis a scientist working on a vaccine to save millions. When her life is at risk Declan Ferry stips up to keep her safe. This was an exciting continuation of this series and I look forward to checking out #3.

Claimed is the second book in the Servants of Fate trilogy and picks up pretty much right where Marked leaves off. Here, we move to Galena and Dec as the main characters, instead of Eli and Cacia.
While I thought Marked was unique and interesting in it's world building, the magic had worn off by the time I got to book 2. I'm not much into romance and this one was just a bit too much for me. Parts of the story seemed forced, and while I found it a bit tedious at times, I finished reading it nonetheless, simply because there was enough action going on to keep me entertained.
However, I'm not into it enough to want to read the final book... or am I? Honestly, I've got too many other good books waiting here for me to waste my time on mediocre. Sorry Ms. Fine, but your work just isn't doing it for me.
That said, this got lots of good reviews, and those who like a lot of romance in their stories may like it better than I did.
Thank you to NetGalley and 47North for providing me with an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was unable to finish the book, but thank you for the opportunity.
