I listened to 20% of this audiobook but decided not to finish it. I’m guessing if you are an avid equestrian then this would be a lot more interesting to you, but since I know very little about horses it just couldn’t keep my attention. The writing style is well-done, the plot just wasn’t for me.

I love this series. I’ve read the books and enjoyed them. I love the audiobook version as well. It really brings the characters to life. Reinert is a great writer when it comes to including the equestrian world in her books. I’m a horse owner and rider and I can say she does a good job.
Great narration as well

Jules is back competing in this supremely satisfying eighth book in the Eventing series. The Maryland setting and Jules grumpiness about being away from her beloved Florida are both fun. I also enjoy the evolving relationship between Pete and Jules as they travel with a nanny and child rather than a groom. As always the horse descriptions are spot on, challenges they face are realistic and there are fun pop-ins by characters from other series. Barrie Krienik continues to provide smooth narration with great character differentiation and pacing. This new edition is a (fitting) level up from an already great original. Highly recommended.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a review audiobook. All opinions expressed are my own.

Flight is a warm, feel-good story—yes, even with Jules involved! Longtime fans of the Eventing Series know that trouble follows her like a shadow, but this time, she and Pete are navigating Maryland’s chill, cranky horse people, and chaotic motel life… together.

They’re chasing big opportunities (and dodging drama) while still being, well, Jules and Pete. There’s a quirky mare, some fried chicken, crossover cameos, and just enough tension to keep you flipping pages past bedtime.

Natalie Keller Reinert nails the horse world every time, and Flight is no exception. Whether you’re deep into her many series or just getting started, this one’s a treat. I am going to go back and read the rest!
