Parker and Scout's story was a good one! From the get go, you know that Parker has a thing for Scout. I wasn't sure at first how Scout really felt about Parker, but then I could see she was trying to avoid her feelings for him.
I loved how Parker let Scout set the pace of their relationship and didn't push her even when it could have gotten really bad for him. I did sometimes have an issue with Scout though, since she kept putting her job above what Parker needed. She needed to go to the lengths that he had been going for her.
I haven't listened to the other stories in this series, but would love to go back and see how these other couples came together. They seem like a really fun group.
I listened to this one and loved the narrators. They really kept me engaged in the story and I couldn't wait to finish it.

This is the fourth book in The New York Lions series, a Sports Romance. Parker and Scout's story is sweet, funny, and engaging. Parker is handsome, sweet, charming, and seductive. I liked his determination. Scout is beautiful, cautious, and smart. They are perfect together. I liked the banter, the slow burn, the sizzling chemistry, the humor, and the romance. The supporting characters are great. It's a great friends to lovers and forbidden romance. Emma Wilder and Robert Hatchet did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Thank you ValentinePR for my complimentary audiobook in exchange for an honest review!
Oooh I loved Parker!! This had so many great tropes: he falls first, only one bed, workplace romance, secret romance.
I loved getting to know both characters and enjoyed the fun scenes with the baseball team especially the minions! I also really liked the running coffee order joke.
This was really easy to listen to and had good pacing as a romance! I always love dual pov and seeing past characters.
I’m super excited for the next one with that bomb dropped at the end!!

Parker has a horrible crush on Scout but now that he has a shot will baseball try and keep them apart?! Will signing paperwork from management stop Parker from going after Scout or will he finally have the courage to ask her out!! Parker King is my new book boyfriend whew.. The chemistry +banter + teammate shenanigans keep into the audiobook also adding a secret romance whew this audio book had it all narrated by Robert Hatchet and Emma Wilder made this book and characters come alive!!

I have had Lulu Moore on my authors I want to read list for quite some time, so when the opportunity to listen to an ALC of one of her books arose, I immediately jumped on it. Bonus because it's a baseball romance!
While this was my first read by Lulu, it certainly won't be my last. And yes, I realize I jumped in at book 4 in a series, but these read as stand alones and Lulu's writing didn't make me feel like I was missing out on anything. That said, I do plan to go back and read the first three books because I did really enjoy this one!
Parker & Scout were too cute. The way Parker was so down bad for Scout, long before she realized he liked her was adorable. He gives off the best golden retriever energy! I loved that although he was nervous, he didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to connect with Scout now that she was single again. He knew what he wanted and went for it!
As someone who was a catcher in college softball, I always have a soft spot for the catchers in baseball romances. Although I 100% felt for Parker during the baseball scene when the ball didn't hit his glove like it was supposed to.. 😬.
I loved watching Scout and Parker's relationship be built on a foundation of friendship.
Robert Hatchet and Emma Wilder delivered an excellent performance and made this an enjoyable listen. I was able to listen to it basically in one sitting.
Thank you to Lulu Moore and Valentine PR for the ALC.

Loved this book so much! Parker was the absolute perfect book boyfriend, and Scout was such a fun addition to the Lions team. The voice actors were also super wonderful to listened to, not a single complaint there. Honestly, Lulu could write about paint drying at this point and I’m convinced it would be a masterpiece. Each of her series are pure gold. I am DYING for Millie and Tanner now, the way she has weaved those two into the last two books has been a killer tease!

Parker. My MAN. Forever a sucker for all things baseball and Lulu. The way she writes a completely smitten athlete makes me MELT.
The angst was top tier. Was rooting for them the entire time!
Bottom line, if Lulu writes it I’m going to read it and you should too.

Baseball is my favorite sport and there aren't nearly enough books in this sport. So I love that I found a new (to me) author to check out. And I really enjoyed listening to The Strike Zone by Lulu Moore, thanks to her and Net Galley for the ALC.
Parker King is the catcher for the New York Lions baseball team. He's been crushing on Scout Davison since she joined the team in their social media dept last season. But he hesitated to ask her out and when he was ready, she was dating someone else. Now that she's available, not only has the team thrown a wrench in things by making couples within the organization declare their relationship, Scout has decided to avoid dating for awhile. But Parker vows to break her down by becoming her friend first.
I loved Parker! He was definitely a boy obsessed. Everything he does becomes about getting Scout's attention or making her life easier. His protective in a quiet way and it was fun to see his crush develop into more.
Scout was a pretty strong female character which I always appreciate. She wasn't afraid to put her own career first and ask for what she wanted. She also wasn't afraid to admit when she was wrong which is commendable.
I loved the found family of the baseball team. This is book 4 so I assume the couples in the group are the previous books so I definitely want to go back and read those.
I really enjoyed Robert Hatchet and Emma Wilder as Parker and Scout. I think they fit the characters very well. This is done in dual but that didn't take away from the experience at all. In fact a couple times, I even forgot.

Can my review simply be that this book was perfection? Because it was! Parker falls so hard for Scout and patiently waits to to make his move. Scout is focused on work and doesn't want anyone to know about them. The secret relationship and the way Parker just loves Scout was everything.
Robert Hatchet and Emma Wilder bring the story life and capture all the sizzling, hot chemistry.

ALC (advanced listening copy) Review - 5 Stars!⭐️
This was my first book by Lulu Moore (even though this is the 4th book of the New York Lions series. It will DEFINITELY not be my last - I love her writing & the characters so much!
-Can you say golden retriever MMC??? Parker King = book bf material. Seriously a man obsessed. Scout is a badass too - I loved watching her feelings transform throughout the book.
-The banter between the players - this is why I love sports romances: the pranks the guys pulled on each other - perfection!
Easy to follow, so much fun with some good steam. 😏 The narration was perfect - inflections and pace of the narrators are perfect! And the ending makes me ready for the next book already. 👀
Highly recommend listening to this interconnected standalone book! ✨
Tropes:
-Baseball romance
-Friends to lovers
-Workplace/forbidden romance
-He falls first
Thank you Lulu Moore and Valentine PR for allowing me to listen and review this book. ❤️

This is the second audiobook I have listened to by Lulu Moore and I fell in LOVE with this one! The narrators Emma Wilder and Robert Hatchet were the PERFECT duo to tell this story. They have such great voices. They held my attention and kept me entertained during the entire audiobook. I seriously didn't want this book to end. The characters and story were well written and they were enjoyable.
Parker and Scout were absolutely amazing! Parker has been into Scout for awhile and now that she's single he's not going to waste anymore time being friend zoned. I loved how everything slowly falls into place for them. I loved getting to know them together and apart. They both were lovable and you couldn't help but cheer for them the entire time. All of Parker's friends are awesome.
This book will have you swooning, smiling like crazy, laughing out loud so many times and leave you wanting more! I can't wait to go back to the other books in this series. I would highly recommend this book!
Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Select and Lulu Moore for allowing me to listen to this ALC for my honest opinion.

Tropes:
Golden retriever MMC
Baseball
He falls first
Workplace romance
Forbidden
Boy obsessed
This was my first introduction to Lulu Moore’s work and I was not disappointed. I’m a sucker for a sports romance - make it baseball and you’ve got me sold.
Baseball romance is underrated in general, but this particular storyline with the golden retriever, catcher MMC + the work place romance with an extremely likable and talented FMC that isn’t looking for love?? SWOON.
Parker King is pining for Scout— the girl that he never got the nerve to ask out and missed out on his chance when she started dating someone. A year later, she’s single and sworn off relationships, but Parker refuses to give up. When she finally gives in, there may be some sneaking around. There may be some secrets… because why not? Sneaking around makes it more fun, right?
The only problem with this story was that it ended. I wanted more. I couldn’t get enough…. And then it ended on a cliffhanger so we have to wait until Summer to get our answers with the next book in the series!
The narrators did an excellent job. They portrayed the chemistry well and set up the side characters well also.
I definitely can’t wait to read the rest of this series. Thank you so much @valentine_pr_ & @lulumoorebooks for the opportunity to listen to this ALC copy!

ALC Review
This was my first book I've read in the series, but it's been on my tbr forever. I loved this book! I was able to listen to it in one day! I absolutely fell for Parker. He was such a Golden Retriever. I loved the chemistry and banter that he had with Scout. This was such a fun and sweet read. I definitely recommend for all lovers of friends to lovers, forbidden/Workplace romance, and golden retriever mmc lovers ❤️❤️🤭
Thank you Lulu and VPR for this ALC for my honest review!

Thank you to Lulu Moore and @valentine_pr_ for providing me an early copy of this audiobook. All opinions are my own.
This was a really fun and cute low stakes workplace romance, where the “workplace” is a sports team.
You get a lot of the hallmarks of a workplace romance (that dratted HR department! *shakes fist*), but surrounded by baseball shenanigans. (I mean, that ending was very shenangany! IYKYK! 🤣)
The two MCs were fun, and were pretty much already into each other from the start, but all these *issues* kept getting in the way, until…well, you’ll have to read to find out. 😘
There were a lot of fun side characters, who I know must have fun books of their own in this series. This one is book 4, and having not read any of the previous ones, I will say you definitely don’t read the previous ones to enjoy this one.
Overall, this was a fun listen for sports romance fans looking for a romance on the lighter side.
Audiobook notes: Both narrators did a great job! 👍
What this book is giving:
✅ Baseball Romance
✅ Dual POV
✅ He Fell First…Last Year
✅ Workplace
✅ Slow Burn
✅ Secret Relationship

This was my first book in the Lions series, but I’m fully, heavily invested in these boys now! To start, I absolutely loved Rob Hatchet and Emma Wilder in this audio. They’re so fun and keep me entertained with their performance. Parker and Scout are funny and have such a sweet relationship. Their attempt to be only friends was humorous, because the pull between them was inevitable. I loved the slow burn between them, because it built a whole lot of tension that was incendiary. I really love these baseball boys!

Parker is the team catcher and has had his eye on Scout. She's just getting out of a bad relationship where she was cheated on. Parker decides to play the long game and befriends her. He learns her favorite coffee order and keeps himself in her eyesight while she manages the team's social media pages. Scout is up for a promotion with the team, so as their relationship develops, they sneak around to not affect her potential opportunity.

Narrated by Emma Wilder & Robert Hatchet. Dual style.
Looking forward to Tanner & Millie 🩷
Thanks to VPR for ALC

4.5 stars! This is the fourth book in the New York Lion series, but can be read as a standalone. I listened to the audiobook for this, narrated in dual by Robert Hatchet and Emma Wilder. They both did an amazing job at bringing this story to life! Parker is literally the sweetest man, giving off all the golden retriever vibes, and has been crushing on Scout so hard for so long! They both are so sweet and I literally am in love with them! The banter between them is so easy to eat up and perfect for their story!
What to expect:
-Baseball romance
-Friends to lovers
-Workplace romance
-Secret relationship
-He falls first
Thank you so much to Lulu Moore and Valentine PR for letting me listen and review an ALC of this book! All opinions are my own.

Friends to lovers 🤝Workplace romance
The Strike Zone by Lulu Moore is a captivating story about Scout, who, after a tumultuous relationship, is ready to focus on herself and stay single for a while. Parker, on the other hand, is trying to redeem himself after missing his chance to ask Scout out a year ago. He’s been patient, giving her space, but he's also eager to get her on a date. Things get complicated when HR introduces a new rule: no dating within the workplace without first declaring the relationship to the department. While Parker is planning to finally ask Scout out, she’s busy interviewing for a potential promotion.
Lulu Moore knows how to bring the heat and build up the tension! As the two of them attempt to keep their relationship under wraps while Scout navigates the interview process, the chemistry between them is undeniable. With witty banter, heartfelt moments, and plenty of steam, this book will have you hooked from start to finish.
I absolutely adored the dual narration by Emma Wilder and Robert Hatchet—both brought the characters to life beautifully.
Thank you so much to Lulu Moore and Valentine PR for the ALC! 🤍

This was such a cute and enjoyable book. I loved it from beginning to end and definitely want to read the previous books in the series now! I've only read one more book by this author, but after this one, I definitely feel like I need to read more of her work. This was a quick and easy read, I was hooked right from the start and didn't want to put it down. I fell for the characters immediately and they were the perfect couple, and then the banter between the hero and his teammates was just golden. I definitely recommend this!
